But use a controller please. Playing games with a mouse and keyboard is incredibly wack. It's so counterintuitive to the fun of gaming. Makes my skin crawl.
Retro emulation is where the Pi5 shines. Running Batocera on mine, and many Gamecube games (and even some Wii games) are very playable. Every DOS game I threw at it worked well, too.
I second this mention, I love Batocera. Lately I have been testing RecalBox and I am honnestly impressed with it. I think RecalBox is slighty better in terms of general interface navigation speed, but I cannot and will not say it is faster in RetroArch since it's the exact same thing for every platforms. RetroArch cannot be slower or faster.
What I like about things like this, is if you have odd living arrangements. And or financial constraints, this give you options if you want to do some gaming.

As a fanboy of Raspberry Pi's I need more info on which one you're using 2,4,8gb? Also, did yall boot off a sd, USB or M.2 and lastly did yall try a overclock on the cpu and gpu?
@RabbiAaronIsapedoyou “use something that gets you shit for free that might not be actually legal. Paying for something at a discounted price is a scam.” Paying a discounted rate for something instead of pirating it isn’t a scam.
did you try to push this pi's limits with an sd card? i didnt see any mentioning about this in the video but, switching from sd to ssd shouldn't add just an s but should actually feel like switching from hard drives to ssd. and adaptor is as cheap as 20 bucks
I'm not saying this is a bad video guys because I enjoyed the content you did do, but honestly that Pi is capable of so much more, you left out emulating older console games and also installing android since it's a arm CPU it should do well with mobile games from Playstore that has a pretty good library of games you could access I would think. It was a good video but it kind of left me wanting people to see everything the Pi 5 can do, I'm sure it's capable of much more.
Very nice video. You should also try Sunshine and Moonlight combo. It works very well if you already have a gaming rig and you can build some sort of handheld out of Raspberry Pi.
15:15 I mean if it weren't for the anticheat in those games I'm more than certain they'd run on a normal PC with linux... But of course devs just don't wanna fix their stuff.
Quick question…why would I go through the trouble of making this when i already have the best console of all time…the Atari Lynx. You pair that bad boy up with the 3DO and you have the best games AND media playback.
Snes is easy on the pi5 but if you wanna play like 90% of the ps2 library you gonna want a orange pi5 or rock 5 its like 20 usd more for same ram configs, but the latter 2 have rk 3588s chips which are octa cores and much better gpu's

Mom can we have a Nintendo Switch? No son, we have a Nintendo Switch at home. But jokes aside I have always wanted to do this but with a Ryzen APU and pico power supply. Maybe make a 3D Printed case for it and hook it up to a mobile phone controller and you literally have a Nintendo Switch at home. Only downside is that it has no battery. But you can buy some expensive battery banks for laptops but they are intended for businesses or corporations so they can be pricey.
all of these just dont really make sense imo because there is no point making extremely small/portable and expect it to run 3a games at playable fps, again, imho. building an itx with single fan 3060ti (or even 3070) pair it with a decently sized monitor is perhaps make much more sense. also, like the other one said you can stream using moonlight/sunshine with this setup.
