I get your point but eggs arent really sustainable for a large group of people. Les do the math:
I think there were about 18 chickens in the camp. 1 chicken lays around 5-6 eggs a week giving us 90 to 108 eggs a week. When the gang is complete there are about 23 people in total to feed, meaning everyone would have to eat 4 eggs every week for an efficient ration.
Those are the attack chickens, very important to the camp's defense.

I sit down for 1 second at the camp fire after doing all the chores and being gone from camp for like 2 weeks then right as I sit down on the log Grimshaw comes up like "what are you doing Mr. Morgan? You need to get out there and get us some supplies!" Then Dutch comes up after and is like "What are you doing hanging around camp Arthur? You used to be a man of action, what has happened to you?" ...its like fuck you Dutch I just got back and sat down for 20 seconds and you're on my ass? I just filled up Pearsons table with a feast and donated 300 bucks suck me off! You're on my ass yet I see Javier, John, Sean, Bill, Lenny, Micah, and pretty much everyone sitting around doing fuck all and you dont say 1 word to them! Better yet you sing the praises of Sean and Micah and what did they do Dutch? Oh that's right, Sean donated 1 dollar and a squirrel pelt and Micah donated 15 cents oh bravo!

His story's kinda like the rest of the gang, but unlike the others, he didn't have a Dutch to lean on when he was just 9 and ended up on the streets after his parents passed away. This game's seriously epic - they really went all out making characters with their own stories and quirks.

@Morgan Alexander when I saw him say that I brought my spare horse with me.. caught 3 perfect deer.. once with lasso one one main horse and one on spare horse and brought it to camp.. then donated my 78 big game meat then put in 5k into the box..
I upgraded everything shortly after starting chapter three. I thought great! The camp is all set, no way are they going to go hungry now. So i set off exploring the entire map. Eventually Javier came to look for me, so i guessed i'd spent enough time away and headed back with him. Got back to camp and saw the food was empty. Every single one of them complained about me not bringing food... while they were sat right next to a huge lake full of fish and turkeys ran around in the woods not 100 meters outside camp... Screw you guys! I never gave them a single item of food for the rest of the game.
I never knew characters would come looking for you after you leave the camp long enough, that's cool.

I had a meltdown when she said that. My reaction to that was really? I purchased all these upgrades updated Dutch's tent and the everyone else's tent bought a useless boat despite all this I keep donating 20 dollars everytime I show up at the camp and yet you have the balls to tell me that I've stopped putting money into the chest... Dutch didn't even used that money for the camp he kept it for himself and I don't see you miss Grimshaw doing anything other than nagging the other women.

I got that comment (along with Dutch accusing Arthur of betraying him in the future) immediately after the mission where Arthur gets taken by the O'Driscolls. Firstly, I'd donated like $3000 buck and upgraded everything in the camp by that stage and secondly, I'd just been kidnapped, beaten and shot. Fuck off Grimshaw, you ungrateful bitch.

You know, I actually liked Bill. In RD Redemption 2, he never outright does anything wrong. He does allude to future events, forshadowing that eventually he'd become his own leader of the Bill Williamson gang - but that was really the only questionable thing he did in RDR2. Even in the first Red Dead Redemption, despite being a pretty bad guy at that point (for example, having his gang slaughter the folks of a ranch, not to mention other heinous acts), he did give John Marston a chance to back away. It was Marston who tried to draw his gun first but failed.
I don't know. I think Bill was just an unfortunate character who obviously had bad tendencies.
@@12227UserName I think bill actually starts the early parts of Red Dead 2 wanting to be a provider for the gang and tries to help however he can. In the train heist he tackles the most dangerous job of setting up the explosives, with arthur's help. However the explosives don't work and Bill is blamed. This is the start of a pattern which Bill Williamson himself notices. Bill tries hard and does his best but whenever something goes wrong that he had his hand in the gang never lets him hear the end of it. However when Arthur messes up it's just seen as one of those things. I think the driving factor for Williamson opposing you at the end is not blind loyalty for Dutch but a chance of revenge at Arthur and John for getting all the praise he desperately wanted and it was a final chance to show he could be better than Arthur by sticking with the gang.
Damn these fools start turning insane, if you don't give them food like they don't got charles, John, Bill, even Micah, and he doesn't even do anything!

I’m honestly not surprised the gang fell apart after Arthur got sick. He was responsible for everything and everyone relied on him for every little thing. He fought for everyone. Still angers me to this day after years of playing when Arthur gets kidnapped by the O’Driscolls they left him. He had to rescue himself, only one there to help him was his horse. Even when he came back he got looked after by Miss Grimshaw but still got relied on even after it. If it was anyone else in camp, Arthur would’ve been there faster than a bullet to rescue them
My personal theory is that Micha spat out some kind of lie that Arthur was okay because NO ONE was doing anything when Arther came back ny himself nearly dead. The gang were way too calm.
Though, I don't think that's what happened, but it's the only thing that makes sense to me.
If I was Arthur I would of left them after I got better as they don’t deserve Arthur they can’t pull their own weight

Food was the only thing we always had plenty of in my game since hunting was my favorite past time and I always had a shitton of raw meat in my inventory.

I got jumped on by Dragonlady (Grimshaw) 3X in 5 minutes on one visit to camp. Once because I'd been too long without a bath (she stood over me while I bathed and put on fresh clothes, embarrassing), then again because I hadn't contributed to the box recently, then AGAIN because I'd been slacking on food because I'd been exploring and doing missions. I never return to camp now without a some food to donate to Pearson (and a visit to the bath or a swim in a creek).

tycho goedhart on a second playthrough a lot of the games features look more pointless than before. I’ve amassed half of all the gold bars in the map, which is more than what you get from doing any of the missions, and it doesn’t make a damn difference if i put it all in the camp funds.
