    Maybe a retest with a higher AH battery and real impact sockets.

    I don’t think it’s the impact. I think it’s the operator.

      Needs impact sockets so it doesn't cam out the anvil drive of the socket and it will hit harder! Bet you a heavy deep well would get it off! Think twice film once😂

      @darrenairey5938 He's probably using a 12-point socket instead of a 6 point. Makes a world of difference also

    like everyone else is saying, use impact sockets. but more than that, get a better grip. youre losing a lot of torgue from the wrench going from the 6 position to the 9 position. Almost looks like if you bought a higher torgue wrench it would spin your hand off. I bet you and hammer drills dont get along well at all.

    This guy has no clue. He needs to use the right impact sockets. And a 5amp battery. My dodge is torqued at 140 and that 3/8 busts them right off.

    I don't know bro but I take off luck nuts with mine on an '02 Chevy pickup. It has the same 140 ft lb. Torque rating struggles a little bit compared to my 1/2 in but it gets it on and I'm even using a 1/2-in adapter with a 22 mil 1/2-in socket so I'm losing power. I can even do it with an extension, a small one so I don't even want to hear you both. Yes, the stubby M12 is better but The Hercules is great for a DIY guy or temporary gun to get you through until you can buy a Milwaukee and then you keep it as a spare

    This impact is just as strong as my mid torque 3/8” from Milwaukee. Only thing I’ll add to that is you really need to have one of the 21700 batteries for high performance jobs

  • @mike_t_007

    Chrome sockets are the WORST. Nice Impact rated sockets and the 4 aH battery would be your best friend. Get both and retest again. It'll surprise you

    Try using impact sockets and you'll see a big difference due to the socket weight. Also those chrome sockets ain't nice when they split and break due to stress from a impact.

      I agree. I was just testing the tool's torque and didn't have an impact in the 3/8 size. I replaced it for a new Ultra Torque and you can see that I used a 1/2 impact socket in this case! ruclips.net/video/TgotYUVDL0c/видео.html

      I my my 3/8 dewalt 12v compact all time for lugnuts. It's 450ft lbs breakaway. Rips em right off and is super lite.
      Barely bust out big heavy Milwaukee 1/2 unless I have to.

    Their website says that you have to use the 5AH battery to get those specs. So you probably are getting half of the listed specs because you only have a 2.5AH battery. Buy a battery and it’ll be like you have a new tool.

    I like harbor freight im an regular customer
    Only thing i avoid buying is torque wrenches or any power tools… torque specs are false claim and even ultra high torque breakaway fr/lbs is nowhere near the claim .

      Obviously you have not tested the Hercules Ultra Torque 1/2 cordless impact. I guarantee it will remove and tighten lug nuts. Don't know of a 1/2 inch designed for say agricultural applications or say lugs on a semi tractor rig. I would lean towards 1 inch for those. again, the correct tools for the job at hand.

      You can see I switched to an Ultra Torque for just this reason. However, Milwaukee has multiple 3/8 inch tools that will pull a 140 ft lbs lug nut without issue. So ... The Ultra Torque is in the higher end of its weight class, their 3/8 products can't compete with Milwaukee. Nonetheless, the Milwaukee's are double the price or more.

      Yes. It wasn't well done. I just did it quickly because I was surprised the tool couldn't break even a lug nut loose. I swapped it and upgraded to an Ultra Torque. I'll do an update with a better done video!

      @dylansautoandmachinerepair3023  2 года назад +1

      Also, I learned about the Ultra Torque from your channel. Thanks for the videos! I just took a lug nut off with the Ultra Torque and it does well. Looking forward to seeing if it will break a crank bolt loose on a truck that I need to fix an oil leak on. I will follow up with a proper video after I've tested the tool and the auto mode more fully. The only draw back to the bigger tool is the size, which is more limiting than the small 3/8 impact wrench. I think if you are looking for that type of tool, you are going to go for a Milwaukee Stubby. But that tool is $199 vs $79 for the "equivalent" Hercules. Seems that's why the High and Ultra Torques are more expensive, because they actually are more in line with the competitor's tools.

    Yeah not impressed with mine either got the Hercules for the house and it just doesn’t seem to have enough torque to do basic things I’d say a 3/8s impact should be able to do. I’m comparing it to my Dewalt 12v extreme 3/8 which is my main impact I use at work everyday and it still surprises me sometimes makes me wish I’d gotta another for the house.

    • @dylansautoandmachinerepair3023
      @dylansautoandmachinerepair3023  2 года назад

      Yeah totally, some people claim it breaks lug nuts loose, maybe on cars with 120 ft lbs. or under... Have you checked out the Ultra Torque? It's actually very similar to the Milwaukee High Torque and a nice tool. ruclips.net/video/TgotYUVDL0c/видео.html
