This video was super helpful! I loved the idea of a "category of 1" for a podcast-it's so important to stand out and be unique. I also never thought about how keeping listeners is just as crucial as gaining new ones. A catchy intro can really hook people in! Plus, collaborating with other podcasters makes so much sense for growth. Finally, I appreciate the reminder that monetization is about getting listeners to buy stuff, whether it’s our own products or something we promote. Great insights! Thanks for sharing!
I've been helping a therapist with her podcast for well over a year now. It's called "From My Soul to Yours" and the show is based on if therapists didnt have to follow "rules" what would they say? What would they tell you? This is it. But we are not seeing any growth. We've been present outside the show too. Growth is so slow. Listener count has been down as well since end of last year. I tried facebook groups, subreddit, doing tons of engagements as well. She's almost giving up already
Thank you for this episode/lesson. I needed the focus outline to clear up the fog. I have podcasted for years, however, I am recovering from a stroke and moving a lot slower. I can talk now, and read, so I am moving forward. This episode helped me. Again, thank you. Take care.
Curious about locating what to sell to your audience. I am looking to make a solo, film theory podcast on a certain genre. Just me, at least to start, sharing various observations on certain genres of film, the film makers, films, tropes and so on that comes within the genre of discussion. My question is, how do you figure out what to "sell" to people? I mean, just putting my logo on a mug or a shirt is fun and I imagine a few people would purchase that, but that does not sound like a niche product for a niche podcast. I don't have events or services to sell. I could just read ads, but I would really like to find something unique to offer listeners. I could as for donations and patrons, but I feel like I run into the same issue figuring out perks to provide patrons. Are there any resources on how to locate your audience's (presuming I even land one) wants or needs when it comes to products.
great thumbnail, great SEO, great editing, very engaging but for some reason doesn't have over 20k views. It's like everything I do on social media, I feel the pain. I just released my 104th podcast episode and I have a tiny average of 5 downloads per episode, in the past 2 days I've had 3 downloads. I release daily, I feel like I'm being personally attacked by celestial being.
sure on the niche part, so J. Rogen talks about a different subject every 3 seconds in each episode so...... and most comics do too so......help, because we can't afford to stay to the healthcare subject because it will bore people to shit.
