Fuckin killed it! Mellon Collie is probably my favorite album of all time, every song has such an identity all it's own which is really saying something on a double album. It sounds so "open" sonically even while having super dense and heavy tracks, it really sets it apart from Siamese Dream and the massive sound they did on that record. You can really feel the band.

I might not have been a big fan for the last 20 years, but you will always be the soundtrack to my pre-teen memories.
My tradition for driving to the Jersey Shore is blasting "Siamese Dream" down the turnpike. Had the discman in the backseat of the parent's Ford Taurus in the 90's and it's just... I have to listen to it every time. It's like a ritual for me.

The Smashing Pumpkins were my favorite band of all time growing up. That is, until I heard Three Evils that one fateful spring day in '04.
I have almost the same experience - SP and Coheed are tied for my favorite bands and I discovered Coheed around '04.
