    They just announced that they’re replacing Buzz Lightyear with Wreck it Ralph. Same concept, shooting bugs in Candy Crush instead of Zurg discs, but the ride vehicles will be updated, and the building will match the new Tomorrowland theme like BayMax and Big Pop have. Probably will happen after the new Space Mountain opens. I think they said 2025.

    This vlog made me jealous of you! 😅 I miss Splash Mountain and Donald Duck is my favorite character so it should come to no surprise. This event looks great and I really like your rubber Duck toy! I also love that you went on Roger Rabbit’s Cartoon Spin and Snow White’s Scary Adventures. They’re both up there with Pirates of the Caribbean as my favorite ride at Disneyland as Splash Mountain closed.
    30:43 I’m sorry to hear that you think The Oriental Land Company isn’t run as good as it used to be. I’m honestly starting to get a bit nervous about the future of Tokyo Disneyland. I really hope Splash Mountain stays there for years to come. I’m glad you went on it twice this day!

      Every Disney park around the world got considerably worse since the pandemic, Tokyo is just included in that. Altho it is extra sore that we’re the only one with 0 annual passes ☹️
      I love Roger Rabbit, Snow White and Splash Mountain too!! Some of my faves!

      @@8bitthemeparkI think it’s mostly due to Disney ownership. Sure, you’ve explained the difference between now and then, but it is still considerably better than any Disney owned park. I mean, WDW doesn’t even have parades anymore! Not even for the 50th. (There was a special calvacade, but that’s all). And due to it being in Florida, it was the last to close and first to reopen during COVID. The governor and the president at the time made COVID seem like a joke. No different than the flu. And wearing a face mask had such a stigma attached to it, you were essentially telling people you were an evil liberal commie who hated freedom. So any implementation made for it was fine on the local level. Just about everything was scaled back to improve profits, from getting rid of free fastpass, to changing ketchup companies! And you had to ask for them!
      I think OLC saw what Disney was getting away with and decided to see if they could make money selling priority access. But they still at least kept a free option instead of selling access to it like Disney did with Genie+.

    Any idea how long the skrim on the castle will last? I’ll be there on June 4th, and am hoping to see it finished.

      Nope, although I’d guess it’s down by then. You must be very excited now!!

    What’s the trick to getting standby at Club Mouse Beat and Big Band Beat? Is standby even an option?

    • @8bitthemepark
      @8bitthemepark  3 месяца назад +1

      Nope, you have to win the lottery to get to see the shows. It sucks, I know. But honestly with the demand a lottery is probably the best system we could have

    22:39 sorry about all the individual comments, but, in the states “taking a whizz”… …on anything… …is not ok. You do that in a bathroom. Certainly not where someone else has to sit! 😱😂

      Hahaha tho that is an American phrase I am familiar with it and probably shouldn’t have said that 😂

    as someone who is pretty often ins Disneyland Paris, I don't understand why people are in the park so early. everyone comes early and it's stressful. especially because the park seems to cool down in the late afternoon?

    • @8bitthemepark
      @8bitthemepark  3 месяца назад

      Things do tend to calm down a bit later on, but you have to be early if you want:
      DPA for shows
      DPA for rides
      Priority Pass for rides
      Restaurant reservations
      Show lotteries
      Shop standby passes
      It’s a mess

      @@8bitthemepark wait. Premier access runs out too??? I was banking on just buying PA just for every ride I want.

      @@nik1987o Yep. On busy days it runs out too. Especially for the parades.
