Kidding, right. I know of a reviewer admittedly several years age, who on a drive from Melbourne to Sydney, had four times to shut a Maz 2 rear 'popping' door such was the road roar, and NVH. Also. you mixed two categories here. The Swift, Rio and '2' are one size up on the Picanto. I rest my case.
I drive and hate a mazda. Will never make that mistake again. Woeful quality and won't fix anything even within the warranty period. It's as if they think you're so dumb you will not shop elsewhere and not recommend them to others.
@@miatand1156 sorry you had a bad experience with ur Mazda. Give it a second chance I guarantee you will love and appreciate this opportunity. Best regards.
@@roycescott7240 thanks for your advice but I am definately off ever dealing with mazda again. I take my mx5 to an imdependant mexhanic and tell him not to use mazda parts. They are very difficult to get setvice information from and he has to do a fair bit of digging to find out details such as gearbox oil etc. It's a shame that there are no alternatives to a convertable rear wheel drive sporty type car as that is what I want right now. I just know Kia and Hyundai are better at cars and customer service and mazda used to be about 10 years ago. Now just up themselves and have their heads in the sand.
@@layoutarchitect they sure are a lot better than most people realise. So too Hyundai and anyone who thinks mazda make cars that are anywhere near as solid and well made is wrong.
You can say whatever from the Mazda 2 except that it is a "roomy" car... It has one of the most claustrophobic car cabins that I have ever get into, specially on the rear seats (and I am a fairly small person).
No Drive.com.au ... I've been transported in all of that class cars and nope, it isn't! ... I think it has to do with its high waist line and the small size of its back windows though 😕
I say this as a bit of a Mazda fanboy: Mazda doesn't care that much about rear seat passengers or cargo space. Mazda emphasizes style and being fun to drive. Next gen Mazdas look like they'll have even smaller rear windows because that supposedly looks cooler (more like a coupe?).
Well i think the new swift takes it for me compared to the mazda2. It is also fun to drive. It has a turbo variant for engine. Mazda 2 has a more smaller and claustrophobic back seat so not as much practical as the swift. So on that note sorry drive.com.au your prognosis is incorrect.
it looks a size bigger.I had a spark and before that a micra and those things in a crash are awful.the spark was totalled by a truck recently.its off to the wrecker tuesday but a rio takes over soon.i might get a rental or use the bus while waiting for the pay out cheque to arrive.
Polo probably broke down on the way
Or blew up while fillip up at the gas statiom
Surfman 01 LOL!
also it's driver got insane from inhaling the exhaust fumes and had to be put into a mental asylum
The Kia Picanto is a "mini" but all the rest are "super-mini" - different categories!
Actually in Australia it’s under the light class like the rest
Swift the same size as Picanto? Wrong!
In Malaysia, we only offer 1.5cc Swift.. hence good run for Mazda 2 speed..
picanto vs swift same size??
something is wrong.

Obviously price is not a factor here. Why didn't the 1.0 turbo swift get to go out and play.
Mazda2 the best performanc&Handing&safety
Picanto dash looks better than rio.
I have a Mazda 2, bought new in 2015. It's a great little car, highly recommended.
Mazda 2 got stop spot but has less options???? weird.
I would go for the swift..
Swift glx turbo is much nicer to drive with better visibility and sharp handling
Mazda still is the best looking and has the best engine of these
I go for swift
Mazda-sponsored comparison video?
Swift turbo would have got it.
Picanto and rio the best cars in the world
now bring the 4x4 swift and test them on black ice... just test it...
And Polo?
Silvis Samitis Yaris > Polo
Silvis Samitis broke down
Autos on city cars? You Aussies are missing out on all the fun.... ;-)
