Had several Samsung qd oleds and Qled , all high end. All had bugs and panel issues within months. I wished I never got them , finally moved on to c4 77 and having no headache is great. It’s bright and processing is so much better. As well as all the extra options lg offers !! Lg is tried and true !
@ my qd Oled had dead pixels and panel costing dead spots within few months , my older Sony 42 Oled had no issues , The qd Oled coating is very poor and delicate , The processing and some lg feature are better for me than Samsung. Like dtX, better audio settings for external soundbars and Samsungs always had delay and sync issues with all high end sound bars I tried.
I ordered this TV a few days ago, can't wait for the delivery! Thx for the review 👍🏼 I watch a lot of horror movies so I'm excited about the picture quality
Good video! 2 questions if you have time: 1. Did you encounter any green tint issues when viewing from an angle? 2. Do you recommend using a Roku stick/Apple TV over the TVs built in apps?
Have updated to the latest firmware that came out couple weeks ago? I thinks it's the .35 or .36 version at the end. Apparently in this firmware update for the C4 they calibrated the filmmaker mode to be a lot more color-accurate than before (might have fixed those issues you pointed out with things being too green or blue sometimes) and also increased brightness a bit.
I've just upgraded from a 65" C1 to a 77" C4. There is a quite noticeable bump in brightness, as an unscientic guess, I'd say around 25/30%. Generally the C4 is snappier to use, the image is a tad sharper looking - seems to bring out detail a bit better.
@@ericfearnside1723yea you are completely wrong. I have upgraded from a 65” c1 to a 77” c4 and the difference is huge. Much brighter and much deeper colors. Also the 144hz game mode is super smooth, much better than c1 gaming mode.
I have a c4 77, I can't why everyone recommend warm 50, is way to yellow for me I'm using warm 20 and why we should go for sharpness 15 if we already watched 4k content?also I don't like filmmaker mode I prefer cinema because it's shows more detail in the dark
I seem to be the only person who isn’t sold on filmmaker mode. When I switch to it on any picture setting, it immediately just makes everything dimmer. I bought this TV to be vivid and bright so I usually stick with vivid picture mode
those settings are for people who want accurate picture compare to reality or to get the accurate pictureas the guy behind the camera wants. If you want an artificial picture looking like it shows in your tv store, chose whatever. ruclips.net/video/NnCmUXl_FzI/видео.html&ab_channel=UHDAlliance
Yeah, people buy this TV because it's a bright OLED, and Filmmaker mode makes the image too dark and warm. I use standard settings and personalize to my own taste. It's a great TV.
I currently own a C7 from 2017, and the biggest problem with it is that the HDR Game mode is way to dark and dim. Would upgrading to the C4 make a big difference?
Looking to upgrade from a Plasma Pioneer Elite 60. I have been looking to upgrade for a couple years but still love my Plasma I was set on the G series in 65 last year but never pulled the trigger. Contrast settings just increases post processing on contrast. Do would make a "gray" appear darker and a light appear brighter and intensify the contrast on an image. It changed the original creators intent or gets it closer to your preference
@Heliosvector exactly . in my parents room we hv 32inch Mi tv 4a pro . its hving va panel wd very good contrast and wide viewing angles . in pictures settings everything is at neutral 50 . nothing is increased or decreased . it sm times looks like a oled wd very good black levels 🙂
According to Google's Ai/Search feature, LG is in fact bringing MLA technology to the C5 series in 2025, so if you need an 83" OLED with super-bright MLA technology, I would consider waiting for it instead of buying the 2024 C4 (which does not have MLA).
@@allthingstech Nice! I wish i could afford an 83" G4, but at $5,000. it's just too much money for me. I'll wait for the more affordable C5 or C6 with MLA.
We got a 65 G4 instead of the C4 but only because with a deal from richer sounds it worked out less than 300 more than a C4 of the same size so was a no brainer for the MLA upgrade. If the C5 is getting mla next year what on earth is the G5 gonna have to make anyone buy 1 over the C5?
I think not noticing the sharpening effect difference the LG has comes down to individual optical ability. At 15 I found the contrast sharpening to start looking ugly especially when I compared to an older Sony oled. Even the G4 has an ugly edge enhancement effect that literally make details look like they were embossed and to me, unnatural. I think there is a much better way of adding perceived sharpness to an image and this year LG has not impressed me. Great if you are sitting an extra 3-4 feet away from your normal viewing distance I guess.

I’ve got the LG C3 OLED. Great for gaming and HD/4K content. SD looks rubbish though.

Is it worth upgrading from C1? is the difference huge?
It is significantly brighter. If you can get a good deal you’ll definitely notice a huge improvement

I’d say no. You lose Black frame insertion hardware, and the brightness isn’t an issue with the evo panel in the c1.

Depends on the game, if you keep to around 50 then this should cover all bases.

Did they fix the Game Mode?!
What’s the matter with it? I have the C3
Short answer is no. Vivid is the brightest mode. If you use game mode, then there is no point of buying an oled.
bro i want to ask one question is that if oled has infinite contrast then why do we havs to increase contrast setting to 80.
Contrast settings just increases post processing on contrast. Do would make a "gray" appear darker and a light appear brighter and intensify the contrast on an image. It changed the original creators intent or gets it closer to your preference

I m in dark room.... are you sure 25-30 is good for brightness?? ❤
For SDR yes
Яркость 25-30 ппц, я снизил до 90 и смотрю с кайфом яркую картинку, зачем так занижать яркость? Пиковое значение яркости на низком.

Aspect ratio should be original and also Just scan
For the best accurate picture in Hdr is better put filmmaker and.sharpness 0 or.10.
And.everything on off....dtm too
I don't think you'll see any difference. Adjusting sharpness doesn't really change anything until you get above 20-30
