I was curious about the pond dig, but I had to give you a thumbs up when you said one of your dogs is named "Ranger." My oldest dog is also named Ranger. He turned 11 last August. He insists on being outside with me when I'm doing manual labor (or any other time the door opens) and keeps an eye on me. If I'm overworking myself, he'll get in my way and make me stop. He is the best boy.

You are making too many trips to your dump pile you need more dirt in bucket before you head over and dump it make several downhill runs and then load your bucket

That bucket full of dirt is a lot of weight for that tractor. I think that’s why he isn’t getting as big of bites. Doesn’t wanna flip it over

Good job on the dig I have done the same with my l2501 we live on heavy clay soil. Don't worry about the comments of the professional know it alls they have nothing better to do then nit pick others

Thanks buddy! Sadly I’m burying that one back this year, started a new pond in a better spot on the property..it did turn into a nice turtle pond, just didn’t hold a deep enough water level for fish,so I’ve slowly started burying it back..I appreciate you watching!

How did it dig into the clay soil? I live in South Dakota and most RUclips vids of L2501 look to be soft soil. Is l2501 strong enough for tough clay soil?

So did you start off little by little scraping with the bucket until you got where you are now? How long did that take? Looks good so far.

Yeah i broke the ground mainly with the boxblade and then used the loader..i worked on that pond for two years and finally gave up on it,it didn’t hold the water I wanted..got a new pond started in the front yard with the Kubota and bh77 backhoe..got alot of updates coming on the front pond, and the pond in this video i am burying back..thanks for watching!

I guess with patience, you could dig a hole for a foundation..

  • @brousechiropracticandnutri3835

Are you using the piranha Teeth? Do you feel that they make a big difference digging? I am considering putting them on my front bucket also, but then some RUclips videos say they don't make a difference. What is your opinion. I have a Kubota L 25 hp also

It definitely makes a difference having a toothbar..I would recommend one for sure..

And yeah I believe i had the toothbar on in this video,I bought it for this project mainly..but it is definitely a attachment i will always have on..thanks for watching buddy!

Depends on the ground you're working in. If you have hard or highly compacted soils, or lots of rock, you need one and your production will be much lower without it.

  • @HometownAcres

A set of pallet forks might let you get underneath those rocks and act like a pry bar. I’ve used mine to dig out a handful of large rocks the I couldn’t get with the bucket

      @Bamacountry88  5 лет назад

Hometown Acres I’m gonna give it shot with the toothbar and if I can’t get ill invest in some forks...hopefully they aren’t as deep as they look.. lol

Would probably be more efficient to fill the bucket up a little more before dumping lol

Its a muck hole, never will be anything else since its not naturally fed.

You clearly don't understand how runoff works.

You obviously don't know anything about pond's if he puts a solar air pump it will be fine!!! Just because you messed yours up doesn't mean you have to down others. Plus if it doesn't fill naturally I'm sure he has a well!! Enjoy being negative.

    • @johngalt3139

There are hundreds of thousands of lakes and ponds with thriving ecosystems in the US that aren't "naturally fed". 😆

@@johngalt3139 They're called protectedMosquitos. That hole is going to be an algae filled muck hole full of mosquitos.
