    Citizen , your review of this ebike sold me. I must have deep dived hours of youtube reviews trying to find the “perfect” ebike for my wife and myself. We are retiring real soon and needed something besides golf to keep me from getting old:) I mostly ride rear motor only but love that I can go all wheel drive and better yet for LONG RIDES. We went 19.29 miles , 385 ft elev gain 1h 28 min of actual riding and still had more than 70 percent battery! I was in pedal asst 2 mostly but I also cruised controlled it at 18 mph probably 15 minutes. Had a little hang up in customs but that worked itself out with the a little help from Fabulous customer service. I would recommend this ebike and this company to anyone. This ebike exceeded my high expectations! I got a Radmission 1 for my wife. She loves it for it’s simplicity!

    I ordered 2 Road Warrior X2 60V bikes based only on this review and they are fantastic. They have a great build quality and attention to detail. The bike in rear wheel drive is very easy and manageable even for my daughter. The bike in all wheel drive has an incredible amount of power and works great in mountains. The order process from Canada to the US very easy and simple and you will not be disappointed in the bike or the company.

    Hi Bryan, Reporting back after my first ride on my FABulous EMX-Xtreme Dual 750’s Bike. In a word, WOW! My other bike is a single rear hub 750 Watt 20X4 Fat Bike which I modified with a 35 Amp controller and 52 volt battery. Despite all that, this EMX is at least twice the bike! As you pointed out, in just rear wheel drive, it’s like any other rear hub bike, but when you engage both motors, mash the throttle in say PAS 3, you first hear, then feel the difference. THEN, when you start to pedal, you better be paying attention and hanging on tight! This bike has serious acceleration and you also want to make sure you have optimum traction underneath you as well! I also love the KT-3 controller and display, (must take a look at the controller specs someday) The feature that allows the PAS level to control the speed level when using just throttle is great now that you can instantly over ride it just by pedaling. I also love the added bonus of having cruise control by just holding down the down button for a few seconds. Because I know that you always trade range for performance on a bike like this, I won’t be riding around using full throttle all the time, but when you come across a steep hill, or you just need to accelerate away from danger, it’s so nice to have all that power in reserve! I’m a rather compact senior and not comfortable on a lot of the larger ebikes out there, but this EMX almost seems tailor made for me. With a frame that is more like a BMX bicycle than a “moped” and the bicycle style seat post and seat, I can get full extension while pedaling, and with the low stand over height of the crossbar, I can comfortably move off the seat to straddling the bike as I come to a stop with complete comfort and control. One last thing, out of the five ebikes I’ve owned so far, this one has the best tires with a functional tread design, and a good feeling of grip and stability of any other stock tires I’ve come across. Don’t tell “FABulous, but I would have gladly paid $1,000 more! So nice to get such good value for your money! BTW, it was your first short introduction video of this bike that caught my interest.... THANK YOU!

      Impressive review Larry. Makes me proud that the bike delivered on what you expected and more, i cant say enough but i really love my bikes and respect the peoples comments to help me make them better. The dual 500 is an awesome machine, but the dual 750 is a beast. People thought i was kidding when i said hold on when you accelerate. I drive it everywhere and people always stop and ask me what my bike is, then they try to race me haha. And i could of charged more but my goal is to keep it affordable and i wont cheap out on parts. I want everyone to have one, once shipping rates go down, i will lower price accordingly as well.

    Citizen, I first saw info on this bike from your channel and it really appealed to me. I thought it was the best-looking e-bike I'd seen, plus great features at a competitive price. I ordered an EMX-Xtreme 500 e-bike on-line from Fabulous Ebikes and it was delivered a few days later. Seeing it in person confirmed how beautiful the design is and I was really pleased with the quality. When I had a question during installation I called Lampro, owner of the company, and he was very helpful. I'm 61 years old, almost 6'-1" tall, and 235 pounds, but the bike has enough adjustment in the seat & handlebars to provide me a very comfortable riding position. I've now put 269 km (167 miles) on the bike and am thoroughly enjoying it. I'm now on my second charge. The range I got on my initial first charge (from full charge down to 44.1v when it was transitioning to no bars but still had some juice) was 200.4 km (124.5 miles) with an average speed of 29.4 kph (18.26 mph) and a top speed of 54.4 kph (33.8 mph). That was 6 hours and 48 minutes of riding! Most of it was in pedal assist 4 & 5 and I do pedal almost constantly (for fitness). I had the front motor turned on approximately 50% of the time. I rode on a combination of paved & gravel roads that are moderately hilly. I had wanted to do that kind of range test with my first charge to give me an idea of how far I could venture out & still get back home. It is nice to know I actually can do more than a six-hour ride! My range test was with factory (speed-restricted to 20mph) settings. My model is equipped with two 500w motors, a 48v 30Ah (1,440w) battery, a 52-tooth chainring, a 11-32 tooth 8-speed cassette, twist throttle, lighting, full metal fenders, heavy-duty tubular rack, and color display. I'm now working on a second range test using predominantly pedal assist level three, with nearly constant pedaling, and both motors turned on most of the time. I'll report back when that test is completed. One observation about the dual motors is that on flat ground having two motors on doesn't draw any more power than one. They basically share the load. On a hill having both on makes quite a difference in speed but at the cost of drawing more power. The 18amp controller seems perfectly matched to the motors and pedal assist levels. This model truly 'Fabulous'. 😎

      Wow that is some absolutely fantastic range! I really like the EMX extreme bike also, very sharp looking, build quality is great power is great battery capacity is great, I'm actually shocked that more people haven't caught on to how great this bike is for such a cheap price. It's also The only company I've worked with where people go out of their way to email me to tell me how awesome fabulous and Lampro are.

      @@CitizenCycle925 I hope you still have your EMX-Xtreme! If so maybe you'd consider revisiting with a range test where you pedal it just like most rider's normal usage would be. It would be interesting to see what 'real world' range you would get. While mine has a 30 Ah battery, your 28.8 Ah battery is still a huge capacity. Your big battery deserves to be tested. Your results might encourage other manufacturers to offer larger batteries too.

      @@CitizenCycle925 I've now completed my second range test, still with the controller on factory-restricted settings. The range I got on this one (from full charge down to 43.6v when it had no bars but still had some juice) was 184.4 km (114.6 miles) with an average speed of 29.6 kph (18.39 mph) and a top speed of 55.2 kph (34.3 mph). That was 6 hours and 12 minutes of riding! Most of it was in pedal assist 3 & 4 and I do pedal almost constantly (for fitness but I pedal in a leisurely manner). This time I had the front motor turned on approximately 99% of the time. (I'd turn it off for slow speed manoeuvres). I rode on a combination of paved & gravel roads that are moderately hilly. Most of my rides were one hour plus without much stop & go which I presume may extend the range. I was surprised my average speed increased because riding predominantly on pedal assist 3 & 4 (vs. 4 & 5 in the earlier test) did seem more leisurely. Perhaps I'm getting more fit.
      What I learned: With pedalling I can comfortably ride more than 110 miles on one charge of the bikes standard 48v 30Ah battery. That translates into over six hours of riding for me. I've also learned I can likely extend the range by using the second motor less frequently. If I'm willing to slow down on the hills it would likely extend the range. The second motor and the associated acceleration boost it provides are really a godsend when I need to deal with traffic - like crossing a busy road. That performance boost can almost be considered a safety feature! The more I ride the EMX-Xtreme 500 e-bike from Fabulous Ebikes, the more I'd recommend it.

  • @Altema22
    @Altema22 3 года назад +1

    Your reviews are so complete, I feel like I had the bike myself for a day! With the peak power being around 1400 watts with a 48 volt battery, that means the controller is probably 30 amps. The typical 35 amp controller would give you 1680 watts, though they sometimes give a few watts more.
    I like standing up occasionally while riding because it gives my backside a rest from the seat! I prefer half twist throttles as well, but that extra wire on your thumb throttle may be setup that way to control input for the extra motor. It's a design choice by them, but other companies do it differently.
    On bikes with jumpy throttles, pedaling works better off road. However on bikes that allow you to fine tune the throttle response, the throttle can work better. I use a Phaserunner controller and can adjust the torque ramp up times, so the throttle is buttery smooth and precise, even when pushing over 2000 watts. Thanks again for the great review!

      My bike has a Lt hand thumb throttle…. I dont like it but my shifters are on the rt side…. For me, I think having owned 9 motorcycles in my life Id prefer a twist throttle on the right and shifters on the left….. well, guess I can get used to anything….

      @@joethompson2910 the thumb throttle is special, it has wire connector on top so that it doesn't interfere with the trigger shifters, i did think about this issue, i didn't want that ugly top shifter with buttons. Thats why the throttle connectors are not standard and hard to find on after sale markets. We are experimenting with twist throttle now, update soon.
