    Just got my Wired Freedom 2024.2. My initial thoughts are: big.adjustment coming from 20” fat bikes and motorcycles - not news as all the reviewers have mentioned the size of the bike. Throttle is twitchy and lags, so if you’re in level 5 you’ve got to be ready for when that throttle kicks in. For that reason I kept shifting down to peddle assist 3 and only used 5 for hills or high speed roads. I set the start power to 3 which is the softest start and the throttle setting to match the pedal assist level. Riding full out in 100 degree heat and it did briefly shut down for about a minute after a steep hill. Motor temp hit about 298 degrees per display. Suspension feels nice, lots of travel - so much so that the rear rack hit my tailbone a couple of times. I’m 6’5” with long legs and sometimes sit at the very back of the seat. I’ll have to adjust seat height and suspension settings to see if this will be an issue for me. Overall though, lots of power, climbs hills like it’s nothing, and fun as heck.

      No competition, the Wired has a 1000 more watts. The e cells step thru with 2 batteries is $2899 vs $1999 for the more powerful Wired bikes. The difference between 20x4 and 26x4 is truly massive and comes down to rider size, personal preference and riding style. If you stay on well paved roads, the 20x4 is great, but the 26x4 is much more capable offroad, feels more stable at speed, and goes over obstacles that would swallow a 20x4 bike. The 20x4 is much more nimble, particularly at slower speeds. If you are coming from a smaller tire bike, you will be shocked at how comfortable and capable the 26x4 is, they go anywhere. Off course you have to be big enough to ride the big boy tires.

      @@CitizenCycle925 I like beefier large frames that both bikes seem to have, and the large fat tires.
      I would never do trail riding, but I'd be interested to know if the Wired would be noticeably different than Aventon on rough paved roads. I live in rural country, where they throw blacktop down to fill and cover holes in the road, but never roll the patch, and the pavement gets rough to ride on.

      The Wired has full suspension, much higher quality forks, much better brakes, and 3x the power and battery capacity as the Aventon. The Wired will be much more comfortable over rough roads than the hard tail adventure. The Aventon is a bike, the Wired is in an entirely different class.

      I already have the Aventure 2, with a dealer nearby, but I have no Wired example anywhere near me to test ride. I want a second bike, so I never have to wait for a battery recharge. (and the Aventure seat is really hard! lol)

I think what people overlook is that a 20" wheel diameter should go slower than a 26"....but the EMX holds its own, the question is what will the new 26" version do with the bigger wheel diameter? • @kbstuff19
      @kbstuff19 3 месяца назад

      assuming equal total power consumption and output (since acceleration seems to be similar in spite of difference in wheel diameters), I would think two motors would run cooler both due to lower draw and more surface area to dissipate heat.
