- Russell Peters sells out arenas all over the world, he's one of the top 10 highest-paid comedians as per Forbes, and he has a burgeoning movie career. But when he took his show on a world tour he gave it a modest, Canadian name: “Almost Famous”. Peters joins guest host Candy Palmater for a retrospective on his career and what he has in store for the future.

Gian Ghomeshi got his ass in a wringer because of his sexual proclivities ... and CBC fired him. A real shame, because the guy was/is supremely good at what he was doing. Ever since they fired him ( over not a helluva lot as it turned out) they have been kicking their asses and desperately trying to replace what Ghomeshi brought to this show. Give the Devil his due, Gian Ghomeshi, warts and all, will rise above his problems ... and, perhaps, learn from his experiences ... and not repeat them.

He left the gig a month or so ago.
He was let go from the show but will have another one on CBC Radio eventually. Tom Power will become the new permanent host later this month.
I think Candy has done a great job; I know Jian was a louse but I loved his interviewing skills. She's also very good.
