    Russell, you have come so far since our days working at Yuk Yuks in the early 90s in Toronto. I will never forget, getting off work early one night and being in tears sitting in the front row of Cab listening to your brilliant show! I am so proud of your great success, you have certainly worked hard for it and wish you all the best in LA. Your friend Lisa

    Listening to him speak, he is not only hilarious, he is very intelligent, that is a winning combination. The mad indian and chinese joke had me in stitches, so much so that I couldn’t catch my breath. His imitation of different accents never fail to make me laugh. I hope he posts more comedy on RUclips.

    Despite being a racial minority who had undergone racism, Russell still managed to summon the courage and confidence to go up there on stage and confront the audience that would judge him more harshly, and yet succeed at the level he is at now: indeed a very admirable example of someone with courage, fortitude and character.

    • @snowshadow11

      Yeah sure poor Russell, the racist people were so mean to him. His only reason for success is motivation from self pity. This way of thinking is a sickness.

    • @Tripp393

      Lol he's far from a racial minority. And he's a big boy he can handle it.

    • @WooCash95
      @WooCash95 2 года назад

      Being racial minority is two-edged sword, he can get off with things that most white comedians would get cancelled for. Really unfortunate because like he said, it’s not words, but intent that matter

    • @BeeBumper
      @BeeBumper 7 лет назад +9

      Perhaps because, and I'm not sure as I know Indians in Canada love him and all Canadians love him and his comedy mostly, but perhaps because he has a huge Indian following so they acknowledge that fact. Yeah I do agree he is Canadian of Indian heritage. It is weird that at a certain level when an entertainer they don't separate people that way, but when they hit a certain level of fame they punch whatever card suits them. Not necessarily the Comics or entertainers themselves but the media all the sudden adds that "Indian", "Chinese", etc... label. His comedy crosses all races regardless, I look at him the same way I look at the tragically hip, they are ours first.

      +Rinfinity conciouness Yawn...Most of the people listening were not even old enough to actually experience any of the crap you mention - yet they adopt an attitude as they feel obligated to ACT like they did. The fact is that just about EVERY group at some point experienced discrimination - yet only a few make it a profession to carry it around decades and/or generations after it occurred. Get over it.

    i dont know if its the point of his "kind of interview" to do 0 research before interviewing someone, to make it sound more like a natural conversation.
    but it sure sounded rude when he didnt know that his dad was dead or where he come from -.-'

    • @SelphieFairy
      @SelphieFairy 6 лет назад +1

      I agree that you should do research before an interview and avoid questions that are obvious, but actually a good interview SHOULD sound like a natural conversation. It makes the person more comfortable.
