- Humber College presented award-winning Canadian comedian Russell Peters with an Honourary Degree. The Honourary Degree was awarded by Humber's School of Creative & Performing Arts (SCAPA) and presented at the school's convocation ceremony at Mississauga's Living Arts Centre. Peters is a frequent contributor to Humber's Comedy: Writing and Performance program. Peters was granted the Honourary Degree by Humber in recognition of his passion and dedication to comedy and commitment to fostering young talent.
Met him last week. Humble. Very very humble. Within 4 seconds I forgot he was Russell and I just met a nice person with genuine sincerity.

Always be passionate about what you're getting into, not just the entertainment field. Any field, if you're not passionate it about it. It might work for you for a year or two but it won't last long.
I was more inspired and learnt more from his speech than any mono toned professor up that spoke up there they lack passion.
