A great way to keep the cake moist and sneak a vegetable in it. For squeezing out the moisture, I would use my potato ricer. Makes the job much easier, quicker and less stress on my wrists. :) And thanks for taking a bite! Hardly anyone on this channel tastes their own creations anymore.
Well, along with ricing potatoes it's also good for squeezing water out of vegetables that contain a lot of it like: zucchini or cooked and/or frozen, then thawed spinach. You can also press other cooked veggies through it besides potatoes, anything that softens similarly. It makes for a softer, fluffier result.

im... confused by all the people commenting on the background music lol. it barely even registered in my head whereas i could hear mostly lindsay's voice. that aside, while i dont normally eat zucchini, this looks like a nice way to incorporate it o:
For those who think they will notice the zucchini.. trust me.. trust Lindsey.. you really won't.. but it will make a very moist yummy cake or bread! PS: Another secret ingredient for a moist spiced dark bread is very ripe persimmons.. Please test kitchen it because I lost the recipe many years ago..😥
Agreed. I bake according to many US/UK videos and I use always only half of the sugar amount, sometimes even less. I realized that only after making something sweet by Nigela Lawson and it was good, but too too sweet.
Wish she had actually shown the candied blossom process. Lame. Also, she needs to spread frosting out to the edge. And she doesn’t scrape out the bowls/measuring cups thoroughly and left a lot of batter on the whisk she discarded.

Not really. The longer you beat it with the butter, the softer and fluffier it becomes. Makes the icing much lighter and less dense. :)
