He wants less sticky tires on the performance model 😂
The model 3 performance is the best bang for your buck. It’s extremely fast and nimble. I would switch to Michelin pilot 4. However, you want sticky tires on a performance model for sure. Drive safe ⚡️
Thanks for a good Video, Keep those Videos coming as Your miles keep rolling up !
Great review Ben. And congrats on reaching the 500 subscribers mark. I’m working on it. 😊 I know what you mean about a rattle in the right rear. I have one in my MB GLC. I think for me it is the rear cover for the trunk area. Thank you for the cost comparison. I’m looking into EV for the next vehicle. I agree, our day to day driving, we don’t need the 4 second 0 to 60 😊. Great review. I appreciate. Thanks again.
Thank you so much!!
@@EV_Ben you’re welcome
What tint did you put in the car? Looks great! Did you tint the entire back glass and roof? What’s on the windshield?
In Moscow, Russia, these days 1 kWh costs around 6.5 rubles, which is about $0.07...
So, back to your numbers: 265 Wh/mile is around 25.8 kWh per 100 miles. That equals 25.8 * 0.07 = $1.8 per 100 miles ))))
And there's also a night rate in some areas, which is half the price. That's how it is...
There are literally thousands of Tesla videos on RUclips and of course, the algorithm matches me with a fellow coloradian doing rideshare through the mountains. Great review and before I use your Tesla reference if you could choose today between the 3 and Y both performance or not, which specific model would you go with for year-round private rides (and occasional Uber comfort/black) vehicle for driving through Colorado? I was thinking about the Y long range but I would love to hear your thoughts and why. I'm looking to make this decision next week, thanks for all of the tips, videos, and feedback.
I am in Coorado too and take delivery of my Gray Tesla 3 Peformance tomorrow in Aurora, CO, and I know Im gonna need a good tint. Where did you have yours done?
Thanks for the video. Where did you get the "dog area" attachment 9:25?
I bought a cheap one on Amazon and I kinda regret it because it has a nasty chemical smell that won’t go away. I had a better one from Tesmanian but it didn’t hold up well holding my 75lb dog lmao
Did you get PPF? MYLR2023 is going in to get its full-body PPF and ceramic coating tomorrow about three weeks after I picked up this great ride.
There are mudguards for the Tesla 3 that you have behind the wheels. Then there is a disadvantage with the larger performance rims, that is to say that the tires themselves are thinner. which probably means that you feel bumps from the ground more clearly with larger rims. And the road maintenance is not the best everywhere
Any summer performance tire is going to have that problem, but thats also how the car can handle the power. The other issue you'll have is finding an all season tire in that factory rim size. When I had my 21' I bought winter tires because they still didn't have an all season tire in that size yet.
Yeah options are limited. I may get 20” wheels at some point but it isn’t a priority for me atm
Tons of options
Would be helpful to know what your cost per kw is when home charging
FYI: Other than the Tesla Model 3 Performance there is no 4 sedan that can run 11:50 quarter mile times for @53K. That’s the only reason I like this car 😉
The performance value is unmatched for sure. Thanks for watching!
Ben you went 5800 miles in 1 month!? I was worried about going 25000 miles in 11! You got me beat by double if you keep it up!!
Unfortunately. you bought a 3 second car, so performance tires are a must from Tesla as a liability issue.
Thank you for being honest, I have an order for the new refresh LR and I’ve been considering canceling and waiting for the performance refresh to come out. Personally, I’m worried about the tire replacement frequency because I drive a lot!
You can leave your car on chill mode it helps somewhat on the wear & tear on the rear wheels. The rear tires always wear first. Good luck with your new car. ⚡️
@@gust9464 thank you!
Which dog cover are you using? Are you pleased with it?
May I know your model 3 come with HW3 or HW4?
What tint percent did you get? That looks real dark. Is it 15 or 20 or ??
Sticky tires is good for grip.
You want that with a high performance vehicle
Nice video as usual. I agree with you for the 1700 a month for the Tesla rental. This was my point regarding using my 2023 bolt euv, instead of my late 2021 MYP, because in my community people don't really care for comfort rides and i get over 300 miles on my Bolt, compared to around 270 miles on the MYP. I also have air-conditioned seats and apple car play in the Bolt. With my Uber and Costco discounts, i purchased my Bolt EUV redline edition for 33000 out the door on 1/1/23 without the 7500 tax credit that i am still looking forward to. I have 35398 on the odometer since 1/1/23 and my only maintenance is tire rotations. Enjoy your M3P
How does the user discount work with purchase of EV?
Thank you so much! I am enjoying it quite a bit :)
@Nick-px7gv after you purchase a new EV that qualifies for the tax credit, like the bolt, tesla model 3, and the y , you can deduct the 7500 from your total income during 2023 in your 2024 tax filing. Ex. You made 100,000 in 2023. Now you are responsible for paying taxes on 92500 instead of 100,000
@@tmorcos21 That's not how a tax credit works. Provided you meet all of the iRS requirements, you will deduct the $7500 from your tax bill, not your income. Much better deal.
@@tmorcos21you’re way off
Hey Can you explain how credit tax works?
i regret buying the perf over long range....i don't race but the perf look so bad ass...i might trade in some day....thanks for the vid!
Why?
Hey is there any difference in quality between buying from existing inventory vs doing a custom order ? Thanks in advance.
Nope! They’re exactly the same. Thanks for watching!
@@EV_Ben thanks a lot
Haha! I too curbed my M3Performance wheels. :(
Moment of silence for all the curbed Tesla wheels out there
I also live in colorado.. where they anything that stuck out to you in particular for CO?
Could you clarify your question? Im not sure what you’re asking :)
@@EV_Ben just curious about the registration/titling process! I saw colorado requires a EV plate or sticker
What is your plan for the winter ? I live in NE Ohio and get 80-120” of snow. I want to avoid needing a set of winter wheels / tires so just thinking of getting the 18” wheels / tires and going with a Long Range. And getting the Continental extreme contacts.
The AWD system is great but yeah I would go with the smaller wheels cause you’ll have way more tire options. Nokian winter tires are awesome but pricey $$$
I drove my 2019 Model 3 through the Colorado winter (including mountain driving) without issue. Good tired and AWD make all the difference
How can the passenger side rear view mirror be folded, and the driver side not?
Hmm I don’t recall that happening
You really do not save much in gas when driving 12,000 miles or les a year, it zeroes it out with insurance cost. I got a quote from Geico, State Farm and progressive. One model 3 cost me what I pay for my current three cars. Currently have State Farm 180 a month.
Edit: Florida
Same here. I wanted to get a MY but I’m reluctant mow. My current policy is $650/6 months - 2 drivers, 2 vehicles (mini van and BENZ CLA250. Adding a MY would increase my premium to $1500. It is expensive to insure EVs. Buying an EV to save on gas and maintenance is not the right reason.
I drive uber with mine in nyc i save a ton of money now especially on gas
That’s weird, my insurance cost when buying my TM3P was the same as my previous car (2014 Cadillac ELR).
Insuring a new Tesla can be very pricey. I’m currently going through Tesla insurance and it’s much cheaper. The other company I had the best luck with was Liberty Mutual. Thanks for watching!
Buying a model 3 Sr would raise my State Farm auto insurance $600 /yr, I am old.
I have the exact same car same color and tint 🤙🏼 I also have a curb rash 😂
If you don’t have curb rash do you really have a Tesla? 😂
What tint % did you get?
how much do you pay a month for this model?
About $850, financed through Tesla with a very good interest rate (for the current market)
@@EV_Benthat’s pretty expensive my man
Best car in the world in my opinion
Agreed!
Some say Byd or Lucid are better
This is Tsering from evbase ,can we Collaborate on Tesla accessories review about your RUclips?
I’m sure you regret not waiting for the 2024 M3 Performance
hopefully you didn't give up on your channel
The hubcaps reallg do stick out a ton and make curbs your bestie😂😢
Idk why they do their wheels like this
Your reviews are appreciated but here is some constructive feedback. Don't record in the wind. Makes it painful to listen too.
Those wheels are impossible not to curb. Mine are curbed to hell. I think it has more to do with the tires.
Maybe, although I haven’t been able to find tires that don’t leave the Tesla wheel exposed
They are too quiet, can't sneak a fart out
Hey there, this is Helen from Vicseed. I do really love your great content. We just released the first innovative smart car air freshener scent(with the largest capacity of 135ML in the market), may I know if you're interested in it?
Allegedly lol
Dude hates speed, wtf dude
Tesla always comes with rattles and it is free!
