    Great video and a good idea for a comparison. For me the 919 Forged always looked a touch too long from heel to toe so it would be interesting to see if the 921 Forged looks a little shorter

      Thanks! Yeah we noticed the JPX 921 Forged is a little more compact than the JPX 919 Forged.

    Thank you so much Thomas and Drew. Very informative as are all of your testing videos. I really want to try these clubs as I am in the market to buy new irons. Unfortunately with covid-19 and the present regulations in most golf shops in Ontario it is very difficult to try any new clubs. Hopefully this will change soon as new active cases have been greatly reduced.

    Great comparison, did you misspeak on the distance gap between the 2 Forged lines? The data showed the 921 Forged only going 0.4 yards further not 4 yards.

    I Really love the 919 Forged clubs. Great feel and very forgiving. Distance gaps are dead on for me at 10 yards per club. I don't always hit it straight but I am almost always at pin distance. I prefer the mat finish on the 919 over the polished finish on the 921's. I generally prefer less shine on my clubs.

      Thank you for watching! You're not alone in preferring that matte look.

    Would you guys switch from 919 forged to hot metal pro 921?

    So basically it comes down to feel, looks, and sound. The performances are pretty damn near identical (which is to be expected). Was the 921 Forged softer than the 919? Since it's the club that had the biggest change in the 2 years.

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching! Yes, the 921 Forged is a bit softer and more muted than the 919 Forged. Still packs a punch, though, as you can see

    Does not matter how you hit the 921 Hot Metal. It will fell like a solid hit. Is that a good thing?

    Thanks for the great review!…Do you think blending the 921 Forged and HMP would work, is there much of a difference in looks/size between the two?…G-7 Forged ,6,7,5,4 HMP
    Thanks,Mark🍻

    How on earth do you carry a 7i 200 yards.. Average tour carry with a 4i is just over 200 yards.

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  4 года назад +3

      thanks for watching, Riley! A lot of that is the loft. The Hot Metal and Hot Metal Pro 7-irons are 29 degrees, whereas the traditional iron many tour players hit is 34 or 35 degrees.

    921 has the same loft as 900. I have 900 F (sold), 919 F and 919 Tour. Love all three.

      I own the 900 tour. Curious why you have one of each? Debating whether to go with tour or forged this time around.

      @@kentao4 I started with 900F, then sold to a friend. I bought the 919 Tours thinking it would help me get down to single hcp.. but I struggled, probably due to clubhead and also I switched to a heavier shaft (DG 105 stiff to Modus3 120 stiff.still baggled whyvI did that. DG 105 Stiff was perfect for me).
      Struggling with Tours I bought the 919 Forged, again with Modus3 120 stiff. Doing better here than Tours, but I think I need to change the shaft nack to 105, but I will make it Modus3 105, instead of DG 105.
      Unless I can get under 10 hcp.. I'll be staying with forged

      @@kentao4 from what I hear there's not much improvement over 919, other than looks. I know the 921 lofts are the same as 900F.
      To me it looks like 919 Hot Metal Pro, with the black pain inserts.
      If you're doing well with 900F and they're still in great condition, I suggest stay with it.
      In case you want to sell it.. please let me know. I want toget rid of my 919 Tours amd have 900F and 919F. Lol

    hey thanks for the review. I have a forged 919 set and lost my 9-iron. It’s been super hard find a replacement. Do you think it’d be fine to go with a forged 921 9-iron to replace it?

    I'm very curious about the launch monitor numbers. I was working on my jpx919 7 iron today with my mevo. I'm averaging 91 to 92 mph clubhead speed hitting it solid like flat out ripping it. Why is my ball speed and distance like considerably less? Is it me or do the launch monitors skew the numbers a bit? I've seen others have like 88 mph clubhead speed carry it 190 yards. Are the numbers easily skewed on those launch monitors? Is my mevo that far off? My launch angle is 16-17* spin is around 5-6k. I'm hitting it good but it's like 155-165 yards. Sure seems like it should be flying further
