I was playing with game improvements and I as a player wasn’t getting better. My friend told me to get the jpx tour if I as a player want to get better. I made the switch my score dropped but now after 1 year playing these irons, I can divot, draw, and cut!!! Also the distances for jpx tour are with 10 yards ……..EVERYTIME! Now I’m playing golf. These clubs will let you know when you miss! Make the change! Thanks again for the video! 🎉❤
I have been subscribed for about three years, and the last few weeks you seem to be swinging better than ever - longer and more consistent. Have you been getting in more practice due to the Covid 19 shutdown? Also, I seem to recall you mentioning an exercise program. As to these clubs, the TM P7MC wins in the looks department, but the extra spin with the Mizuno may help on firmer greens.
I play MP 18 blades at this moment and played MP irons before because nothing felt like a Mizuno iron but that new P7MC could make it in the 2021 bag. Very soft feeling, great feedback and easy to control/ work the ball. But I also noticed on the course with the demo iron that the flight was very high. Maybe a problem with windy conditions....but will test another shaft to try lowering the flight. at this moment the 921 Tour demo iron in the bag and also easy to control/work the ball, great feedback and of course soft feel but a little lower flight. Had also the same experience with distance. The P7MC seems to be longer. No hurry deciding because season is almost over and estimated delivery on Taylormade P7MC is 6-8 weeks (at that time it is Winter). Good comparison and just as you I could easily play both👍🏽

A good friend of mine told me if a golfer can manipulate the swing mechanics for a desired shot he potentially has more shots in the bag eg high low fade draw spin off that's a golfer who has ball flight control.
I’ve had them both I’m a mizuno fan but the p7mc when middled really does feel like butter. The little bit of extra perimeter weighting does help on off centre strikes. The 921 tour will be better if you play middle to toe on the face.
I've got the 919 Tours and was wondering the same thing. I have to say though, that the black line thing on the back is not as nice as the plain look of the 919s. And if you're playing the 919s you know how ridiculously wonderful they are to hit... so would you really change for roughtly the same thing... that looks worse? ;)
Question is who is forging the heads for Taylor Made? Endo is doing Callaway and Srixon and of course their in house brand Epon and many other Japanese domestic market clubs. I think Endo makes the softest feeling forged irons available.
I tested both these. I really wanted to like the TM bc they just look soooo nice (I prefer them over the 921 bc the 919 looked better imo) BUT hated the feel of the TM. They felt wayyyy too clicky and that's why I regretfully still like the feel and feedback of the 921 bc i really wanted to change it up but they're the gold standard for a reason. If you test them and can't feel or think they are the same then maybe get your hands checked. lol Cannot stress how different they feel and it just comes down to if you want a harder clickier iron or a softer thumpier iron. 🤘🏽
@@jordancalanchini6119 Hi Jordan! I’m currently a 2hcp trending back down studying to be an instructor. I currently play mp20’s MB’s 4-9 then vokeys from 46, 51.5, 55.75, & 60. If you’re single digits you’ll have NO problem with the P7MC. They’re easy to hit and I feel provide more feedback than the actual MB. If u are wary of your longer irons then combo-ing 4, 5, maybe 6 in the 770 and the rest MC. Only advice is have a hit with the 770’s first bc they were really hot for me when I tested em and u might want them bent weaker to bridge the gaps. Hope this helps. 🤙🏽
@@xxthadeucexx you’re missing the point. What I mean is since when 34 degree 7 iron ( players version) started carrying 190+ (TM in this test) as previously only low lofted (29-31 degree) flew that much with wider sole e.g.
For some reason he hits the ball a lot further than others who test these irons on RUclips with trackman or a quad and who have the same swing speed, ball speed, launch angle, smash etc. So I don’t understand why. I swing at 88-90 7 iron and I do not carry it close to 190 and it’s stronger than 34 degrees 🤣
@@MichaelNewtonGolf They are the same size, have the same offset, and almost identical lofts (most are identical, only a few are .5 degrees stronger). You really can only test that scientifically with a robot. He's making micro movements adjusting the face angle and not able to hit it exactly the same each time.
@@jaredvotaw8610 I think a lot of stuff feels similar on most shots - especially bad ones. But a perfect flushed 8 iron with an MP64...I dunno I've never felt anything like that. I'm not really looking for distance in my 7 iron, so I'd take the more consistent dispersion and spin of the 921.
2 favorite irons out right now, perfect size with all the feel but don’t give you anxiety in the mid/longer irons

Tried the MC and MB. Loved the looks, loved the feel, got a set of MB's coming in the mail, .
Congrats! 👍
You hit the P7 MC’s very well in your review video and this one Mike
Surely it must depend on the steel being used high carbon low carbon, results in the steels hardness which in turn may feel hard or soft.
great comparison video Mike
Can we get a P7MC vs T100 comparison?

@Eric King 7-MC all day on feel and looks, numbers were very similar from my testing on Trackman.
Jpx921 all day for me

How is he getting 190 carry with very similar ball speed, height, and spin as earlier videos with P7MC where he was closer to 178 carry?
I was thinking same thing
Same question...my clubhead speed, launch, spin, smash are similar with a 7 iron, but my normalized carry is closer to 168-172
Its all in the shaft .. the question is which one is it
A bit confusing to be honest - how can the players iron suddenly carry 190+ yards? I feel these must be lofted lower than 34 degrees don’t you think?🧐
Considering Mike is 6'5", 190 is not crazy. Chris Ryan plays his 7 iron at 185. It's the indian not the arrow.
