How To Unlock FSR3 & XeSS Frame Generation Steam Deck Ghost of Tsushima | SteamOS | Tutorial Guide | Huge Performance Boost!
Frame Generation can be unlocked on the Steam Deck in Ghost of Tsushima, by default the option is unavailable to us but with a simple launch command we can enjoy increased FPS and performance.

Recommended Settings for optimal results
- 4G VRAM in BIOS
- Disable Frame Limit in Quick Access Menu
- Manual GPU set to 1600 in Quick Access Menu
- Make sure Ghost of Tsushima is installed to your internal drive and not your Micro SD
- Turn off Dynamic Scaling
- Turn off Vsync

Just lock the fps to 50 and i put the graphics to mostly high with the occasional medium like volumetric fog and shadows being medium but its a stable 50 and looks nice too

For some reason the standoffs always fade to black forcing me to relaunch the game when I have frame generation on.

Alan Wake 2 only has FSR 2, we have to use a Mod for FSR 3 Frame Generation.

after i did exactly what you do in the video - when i try to play the game, black screen appears and i hear only music :D it just lags and nothing happens.. runnin 3.5
but i have a really fast samsung micro SD.. so the problem is micro SD?...

Is your game installed to the Micro SD or internal drive?
Are you using an LCD Deck or OLED?
What is your UMA Buffer set to in the BIOS? (VRAM)

1) it is installed to the micro sd. reason: i have 64gb version :D
2) im using lcd
3) the last one i dont know - but i didnt tweak anything in BIOS
a just have unlocked fps, using manual gpu to 1600mhz and manual settings od TDP to 15 watts..

Yes I wouldn't say they're frequent though. 3.6 also isn't necessary or required for this to work, we can use 3.5 just fine 😊

You should be hitting 60 consistently on Low/Very Low, give it a try and let us know your feedback! 😊

Returnal only has DLSS and FSR 2.2, we can use the FSR3 mod but it's not worth it, too many stutters and we are CPU limited on the Deck.

Well steamos is based on linux and rog ally is using windows 11 os so most likely no.
