This song hurts now. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of this song or band, but during the quarantine my best friend wanted me to make a playlist for her of songs she thought she would like. I used to listen to this when I was younger and her music taste would aline with this genre/sound. So I included it. She ended up playing it on repeat and fell in love. She even thanked me for showing her. I remember waking up half asleep and seeing her at her desk drawing and listening to this song quietly to not disturb me, but it was on repeat. This song is so dear to my heart; but it isn’t even just the song. The way this video is shot is so spot on for people who have dealt with deep betrayal. "You LIE, I deserve BETTER THAN THIS!" OMG, the feels from my teenage angst years! Love it to pieces.
Omg scene kid days flash back and feels from this song.
👌

My pants tighter than Saran Wrap and my hair blacker than night. Good times.
Jackie Chan same
i remember getting sent home for coming into school wearing eyeliner sometime around 09 looool mad nostalgia
Just Learned this on guitar and I cant stop playing it. The beginning riff is a earworm!
it was 2011 I was 12 and all I have next to me is my mouse and keyboard a monster energy and WoW & this song in the background 😂😂😂😂 TAKE ME BACCKKK
To this day, this song still resonates with me.
"You lie through your teeth, you smile in your sleep.. smile in your sleep."
That verse just floods my head stuffed full of memories every fucking time.
it's such a surreal experience listening to the music I used to listen to during my emo phase
Silverstein really does just keep holding up
"What are we wearing for the music video?"
"Everyone wear blue jeans and a colour of the rainbow"
This was the first Silverstein song I've heard. ^_^
same
same playing Ncaa Baseball it was on the soundtrack on PS2......memories
ButteWhat Cool. I never played it before but still, that’s cool. ^^
For me, I first listened and watched this video on a DVD from both of my Hawthorne Heights CDs. (Their first two albums)
Jennifer Poole

Smashed Into Pieces ... 2004
I miss the early 2000s so much. Would see all the scene kids in the mall lookin like this
Wasnt a phase... 28 now and Im proud of my 12 year old self for knowing good music.
Feels bad the generations after us will never experience music like us 90s babies
I love how naturally real this band is, I mean real all the way around From lyrics to Vocals to how they express themselves individually In their own way. Unique🔥🖤
Silverstein deserves more listeners. they're great. :)
so much nostalgia. Brings back memories of high school.
Forever my favorite song
To all of those who had this in their playlist in highschool, ❤️
🖤💚
This song hurts now. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of this song or band, but during the quarantine my best friend wanted me to make a playlist for her of songs she thought she would like. I used to listen to this when I was younger and her music taste would aline with this genre/sound.
So I included it. She ended up playing it on repeat and fell in love. She even thanked me for showing her.
I remember waking up half asleep and seeing her at her desk drawing and listening to this song quietly to not disturb me, but it was on repeat.
She took her life a week after my birthday in 2020. I miss her so fucking much. This song just hits so differently now. I can’t believe it’s almost going to be a year I just really want her back
im sorry to hear that. I can't imagine loosing a dear friend especially one that had similar interests in music. Hopefully this song will serve as way to remember all the fun times you shared with her :/
@@whosMandoo it definitely will, I just wish I could listen to it with her. There’s so much more music I wish I could have showed her when I had the chance
That went from 0 to 100 real fast
It sure did :(
Holy Fuck...R.I.P. to your best friend
hello 10th grade all over again greetings from your older self in 2015
first year college for me.. 9 years ago.
What's good I was a senior 05/6 and this record was my jam!
Lol yesss exactly
Turtle Reed middle school. edgy time in my life
shiiiet, I was in year 11 when I first heard this on RUclips, one of the first songs by this amazing band! Been listening to them ever since!
If you told me when this song came out that 17 years later I would hear it live with Mike from TDWP during the breakdown, I would've laughed directly in your face. But here we are in 2022, one of the best concerts I've been to. Silverstein's glow up has been real
This song is so dear to my heart; but it isn’t even just the song. The way this video is shot is so spot on for people who have dealt with deep betrayal. The paranoid focus, the zooming in on clues, really everything. Thanks not only to Silverstein, but everyone who put (what I consider) a masterpiece together
Almost Halloween 2019 😍 who's still listening??? 😊😊
Caught me red handed
Same
Guilty..
always
Stillll
Silverstein will always be on the playlist, till I die. This song in particular has a way of bringing out that old teen angst.
My dad got me into this a few years ago about 2017 and im goin through the angst so i understand
My Hawthorne Heights and Silverstein CDs that came with the dvds that had all these MVs😭😭
im glad i got to go see them live, the energy was insane. and they even chilled in the bar for a bit after talking to people. seemed like some good dudes for sure
Met these guys at Warped Tour Chicago in 2006 when I worked with Victory Records...Shane is an awesome dude!
Haven't seen them live in a while though, miss you dudes!
Good times. I was there that year as well..
Listened to this album religiously in my early 20s. Now I'm 36 and have 3 kids. Discovering the Waterfront is tucked into my minivan and I blast it when I'm alone :P
I have the used “ in love and death “ In my car as we speak!! My daughter growls when the screaming happens. I thought it was great!!
I'm 40 now and I still listen and after 10 years relationship I wish I didn't have to walk away, how do you unlove someone that your truly love !!
Where my 2024 emo kids at
Mostly grew up and lived in normal life as average mid age adult
@@tysonhughes3711 it wasn't a phase 🫂
🙋🏻♂️
The intro immediately caught my ear. Never heard this before, but I like this song a lot 👍
Never too late, my dude
Emery-walls is also good
Silverstein, (old) Escape the Fate, Alesana, my holy trinity of the mid 00's
legit, throw under oath and saosin in there and that was life mid 2000s
+Hilman Overboard don't forget chiodos, the fall of troy and drop dead gorgeous
+DOL3rd Chiodos For LIIIIIIFFFFEEEEE
yes funeral for a friend! the whole of hours and CDADIC is pure perfection.
+Hilman Overboard Also BoySetsFire, Blood Brothers, From First to Last... too many to list
SILVERSTEIN era demais, ouvia mto na época de colégio.
*1993 I WISH I WAS BORN 5 YEARS EARLIER. I COULD APPRECIATE EVERYTHING A LITTLE MORE. Y'ALL KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.*
My dad used to bump this album on the way to my baseball games to get me pumped, worked everytime
Rap or emo would blast through the player when my brothers would drive me to school.
Haha that’s badass, it’s such a dope album all the way too.
This riff and hook doesn’t get old…. Let alone the break down. The drums are super catchy too for a screamo song
Forever stuck in my emo years. 😭 Been listening to hella Silverstein lately. 😎
2016 and I'm still jamming this!!
SAMEEEE
+Valerie Robertson me too ;)
+Valerie Robertson lol
+Valerie Robertson Yup lmao

I used to b a disturbed, confused teenager. Self harming, while playing smile in your sleep. Such dark days they were. This song is so nostalgic nd painful. The scars still adorn my wrists and forearms. Im lucky my girlfriend is so understanding.
Same. Tbh if I hadn't have met my gf when I did we'd both be dead by now... Funny how life works
@@OrigenalDarkMew facts
Yeah same here tbh
came out in highschool, still blaring this at 34 in my condo. god I want to go back….
When I listen to this I am filled with joy from the music and sadness that this moment in music is gone.
no man it will never die🤘
The Drummer is killin' it!
*reminds self of middle school*
nostalgia
You seem like a pretty cool teacher

+Derek Schloesser very cool teacher lol how old r u ?

Ahh this still hits the same 🥹❤
Where has the time gone? Absolutely love this song & Silverstein so much 🔥🫶🏻 🎶 1 of my fav songs right here 🙏 can’t believe it’s just as, if not more emotional the decade 1/2 later 💀😂❤❤
The drums in the breakdown always did it for me.
20 years now....Still the ABSOLUTE best thing to ever come out of Canada, besides Canadian whiskey. Best band ever...
still one of my fav breakdowns to date
Absolutely right, I come back specifically for this breakdown...
I traveled back in time from the year 2257 and im here to tell you that music peaked around this album.
Im 4000 years old and this still hits like my Inquisitor father back in 1300
1:35 threw my back out.
