I set my friends on fire - song things that rym with orange
A sky lightdrive- song I'm not a thief I'm a treasure hunter
Silverstein aged like a fine wine though.
Saw them w taa last year. Still amazing
Bro you aint lying
They’re also a very good live band and not that many bands in this genre can say the same thing.
@@ChasingMozartbro it’s crazy how good they sound live. They must have a good sound guy that they bring with them cause they even sounded good at warped when I saw them there in 2013.
They really did! Used to listen to them back like 06ish my 1 year old son loves them almost 20 years later
Imagine getting to discover and listen to Silverstein for the first time... I would give anything to be able to listen to them for the first time again
Just listened to this for the first time last week. Gives me chills man
@@bowman9197 they're definitely one of those bands I'd love to be able to listen to for the first time again... I highly recommend catching a show if they come near you. They're very good live
Bro my first song was in silent seas we drown, blew my head off
Heard Smashed Into Pieces for the first time when I was 14. World was turned upside down 🌎🙃 Saw them back in 2016 & to this day still my favorite 🤙🤙
Man that album is such an experience
Silverstein will always hold a place in my heart. They are one of the cleanest playing bands
💯💯💯
Silverstein are one of the OG’S of “screamo”. Been around sense 2002! They were the entire reason why I got into the scene! MY HEROINE, or SMASHED INTO PIECES next
Not the OG screamo but def og emo
i still remember seeing them play at the transit union hall in Hamilton in '02, been a fan ever since
"Smile in Your Sleep" by Silverstein, is not only a certified throwback banger bop, but it is also the quintessential archetype of what a Post-Hardcore/Emo track should be. Everything about it reeks of that sound/era. The structure, flow, lyrics, breakdown, and singing vs screaming ratio.
100
Silverstein are fantastic live. I saw them many many time and still gonna see them after that shitty covid.
Saw them with August Burns Red in 2019. I forgot how brutal they can be
Saw em 2003/2004
Same
Saw them three times so far... can't wait for them to come back to good old Europe, I miss them! They are indeed very very good live!
No lie I have seen them probably about 20 times between 2005 and 2019. Live them live.
From First To Last - Ride the Wings of Pestilence
Yes.
Or note to self
The re-recorded version is better than the original
@@pacificdrumma in terms of production quality and mixing yes.
The lack of actual “emo” recommendations is awesome.
The breakdown is this song is like top 5 for me man. It just hits hard af
The Used - A box full of sharp objects!
Silverstein > The Used
@@Thatguy55595 irrelevant.
🤘
Hawthorne heights- niki for
Envy on the coast - lapse
Underoath- its dangerous business walking out your front door
Thursday- war all the time
The used- Burried myself alive/ blue and yellow
Emanuel- make tonight
We the kings- say you like Me
Taking back sunday- make damn sure
Thirty seconds to mars- the kill
Finally someone mentions Envy

Finch- What it is to burn
You added we the kings like we wouldn’t notice 😂

@@jcgmusic16 Correct. Not emo.

Classic track, the Canadian scene for emo/post-hardcore back in the day was actually unreal
Cant forget the Canadian ska bands like Subb either
Boys night out
Wheels on the bus
Alexisonfire
Good times
Scary kids scaring kids - Loved forever
"The only Medicine", hell yeah!
Silverstein - my heroine
Silverstein - smashed into pieces
Silverstein - If You Could See Into My Soul
Silverstein - Massachusetts
Silverstein - Vices
And more............
All song is beautiful
Emo Monday needs to be a regular thing dude. Check out The Sleeping - Don’t hold back. Super underrated jam
Oh it's here to stay. Don't worry. Matt Cutshall has inspired me. Emo's not dead
Oh man The sleeping is such a great band.
@@devonbugutsky6751 caught their reunion shows a few years back such a great band
@@winnars I wish I could have seen them live. I bet they put on one heck of a show.
Silverstein was a one of my favorite bands in highschool. They've got some fairly heavy music. This was one of their more mainstream songs. They're still putting out music! They were really well known at one time. Scary kids scaring kids and senses fail were big back then too
They’re all back with a Big Bang today now that emos roaring in 2020s
Silverstien and Jamie's elsewhere are my favorite
Vices by Silverstein is phenomenal, definitely check that out.
Such a great song!
Dont forget "my heroine"!
so good
For me it’s “A Great Fire” from the same album
Broken to pieces is epic
ooooh Silverstein, one of my all time favorites! Can't go wrong here honestly. Here's a few of the best in my eyes if you do these guys again - Your Sword versus My Dagger, Vices, I Am The Arsonist, My Heroine, Stand Amid the Roar, California, Call it Karma, Je me Souviens
Je Me Souviens is my favourite song of all-time. So so SO fucking good man
Love them so much
My Disaster, Smashed Into Pieces and from the newer stuff Bad Habbits 👌🔥
Basically most of the songs from the quaranstein special.
Discovering the Waterfront still gives me goosebumps
React to "face down" from the red jumpswit apparatus.
Jumpsuit'.
And underoath "when the sun sleeps".
X2
silverstein is one of those SPECIAL bands that lliterally have stood the test of time. and btw im a HUGE METALCORE fan and this is one of my favorite breakdowns ever.
I love Silverstein. They have been my favorite band since 2007. ❤️
I hope you check out more of their music, they’ve never put out a bad album. Discovering the waterfront album was definitely a masterpiece imo
By the way, saw silverstein so many times live now... One of the bands that are so much better live than on studio!:)
Agreed
This song is cream,, pls react to Funeral For A Friend - Roses For The Dead, it's a really powerful song c:
Hell yeah!
So glad you did this. Silverstein is awesome !
Damn, you didnt know Silverstein? What about Underoath? Listen to A Boy Brushed Red Living in Black and White
On my teeth. Only song I've ever heard by underoath
@@Hoopsick boy brushed red, writing on the wall, and reinventing your exit are total bangers
@@Hoopsick When The Sun Sleeps is a great track. The vocalist was Dallas Taylor
@@orchidmalevolence9726 I miss Dallas in the band. Definitely listened to more Maylene than Underoath after he quit.
@@Hoopsick Thats a good song, but thats from their last album from 2018 (which is a great album) but their legacy and popularity comes from Chasing Safety and Define The Great Line albums which came out in early 2000s.
I can’t believe you haven’t heard from Silverstein before! They’re great. They were my only show of 2020, went to their drive-in show! Check them out live when you can, they’re always a great time.
Silverstein one of the OG’s
One of my favorite songs of all time. Seeing these boys live for the first time tomorrow!!😭 Middle school me is screaming. Literally.
Silverstein is one of my favorites. Takes me right back to a different time every time I listen to them! Good call on the “Clue” vibe. Definitely was the idea for the video with the solid color shirts representing different game characters, the weapons, and playing in the different rooms of the mansion.
Walls by Emery, 187 by Senses Fail, Ohio is for lovers by Hawthorne Heights...
When you brought up ‘Clue’ I smiled like crazy. I’m glad you caught the inspiration for the video.
should listen to more of these guys. this song was early days, they've come a long way, got a solid catalog and evolve over time.
The breakdown still gave me goosebumps! Man, I would love to share these great songs to my grandchildren.
I think you should definitely check out Taking Back Sunday. "This Photograph is Proof","Cute Without the 'E' (Cut from the Team)" and "MakeDamnSure" are good places to start.
TBS did a photoshoot in my backyard when I was a baby I don’t remember it but my whole family remembers and had some funny stories with the band from that day 👍🏻
"you should check out one of the biggest emo bands in the world"
@@YungGrandson thank you correcting my comment 😂
I was literally just in my throwback emo search phase and typed in smile in your sleep. You came up on one of the searched videos! I’m glad I found you and subscribed to you! Look forward to more content! 🔥🔥🔥🔥👊👊👊👊
Senses Fail “Buried A Lie” is an emo anthem
So glad you got Silverstein on the channel. Hope to see more of them. They've got a huge catolgue for you to jump into.
This song got me into Silverstein. They were the 1st concert I went to when they coheadline a tour with Hawthorne Heights with Aiden as an opener. They were also the last show before lockdown.
The music video was inspired by the board game clue. Theres a behind the scenes video. Definitely check that out.
The band Scary kids Scaring kids and the song Faces is definitely a top emo song to jam too lol
Wow. I nailed it. I'm hype now
@@Hoopsick smile in your smile is definitely on my emo playlist. I've been a fan of them for over 10 years. Another song by them to check out that is really popular is My Heroine. Such a good song!
Love the scary kids recommendation
going to silverstein this october 2nd been a fan for so long, so fein excited
Underoath! Anything from They’re only chasing safety or Define the great line! 2 of the best albums ever made in my opinion.
YES, define the great line was one of my favorite albums, i used to listen to it constantly and new every word to half the songs. They're only chasing safety was great too
oh shit, was looking for a spesific upload from a different channel, but see this and it has to be watched first. This song was always one of my favs by them, and after a breakup the lyrics are also so fucking spot on so i binged it constantly after that breakup lol. Do more Silverstein! Amazing band
first vid I've watched, I subbed. You have a new fan, sir!
Please do Senses Fail next.
I love this band I was definitely rocking them out. I can't weight to show my kids these bands
Long live Silverstein ❤. My Heroin is another all timer from Silverstein.
I got into Silverstein by buying a Hawthorne Heights CD and there being a pamphlet behind the the book... Love them
Saw them downstate Michigan Ann Arbor I think, grand opening of a new club bar thing, was great small venue was amazing, crowd called for an encode and it was amazing see them run back on stage! Bucket list right there!
They do great live shows still to this day. Solid start off. Can't wait for the next emo Monday.
Yessss!!!!! More Silverstein!! I have two of there album covers tattooed on my arm. Definitely check out some more of their catalog. There are no bad songs on the early albums.
Love this!
Next my heroine, infinite, retrograde, ghost, runaway
The acoustic version of My Heroine was one of their best
One of the Best! Without a doubt. Silverstein is absolutely insanely amazing! This is earlier in their career. Love it!
Been listening to them since 2009, finally seen them in 2022 after moving to the UK. One of the best moments of my life, I screamed out my lungs with every song, Smile in your sleep and My heroine have been brutal. Favorite band since the first song 🖤
Love the video! You should check out Massachusetts or Je me souviens by Silverstein! They're a bit heavier
Yeaayyy!!!!!! Love silverstein
Silverstein is from Ontario Canada! Saw them just before the covid shut down last year for their 20th anniversary tour in London Ontario. Best show I have been to in a long time, I highly recommend “my heart bleeds no more” by them, even if you don’t react to it I think it’s a banger that not only is amazing but was also their encore song at the concert and the house went insane ! Thanks for your time reading this, keep up the great work
My heroin is a fantastic classic also. Vices, Massachusetts, burning hearts, your sword vs my dagger are must listens also.
Their song Discovering The Waterfront legit saved my life. Shit this whole album did honestly.
One of the first songs I heard by them. Fantastic. They are still making new albums. Still amazing.
One of the first bands I even listened to, these guys are definitely veterans to the scene and still continuously put out great music. So glad you got to check them out, this one's a classic! If you ever get a chance, check out "My Heroine" by these guys. Banger!
In the mid 2000's I bought a Good Charlotte CD that came with a another Media CD with Music Videos and got introduced to Silverstein and Smile in Your Sleep was on it, just saw them in Los Angeles 12/9/23, first time I saw them back in 2008 and their live performance hasn't changed.
MORE SILVERSTEIN PLEASEE they're my favorite. I love them so damn much.
You can even join us on twitch every Monday and thursday hanging out with silverstein.
They are STILL pumping out top songs too! they did some acoustics during covid that were fire
Silverstein is one of my absolute fav bands, they absolutely crush it live as well. New to your channel. would definitely reccomend you check out their latest songs, and their album bad habits. Subbed !
My absolute favorite song to see live ❤
Thank you man, silverstein is the goat man
This is the song I show my friends with what I consider one of the best breakdowns ever
fuck yes, I used to listen to this a lot in high school, love it :D
Haha the end of the song...."tie me up with sheets..."
This song is my Teenage years, such a great time. The Breakdown in this song is totally epic.
Silverstein - Your Sword vs My Dagger
Canada's Gift to the Em scene
My Heroine - Silverstein.
Its like my Anthem ❤❤❤
Whatttt. Silverstein, just timeless. Awesome live too, a lot heavier sound than you’d think
Silverstein is an amazing band. Thier whole discography is great. And they are a great band live.
And if you want another song to listen to I'd recommend Massachusetts
More Silverstein !!!! 🖤🖤
I am so down for this series
These guys are the O.G's! Theyr recent music is even better
Silverstein are awesome seen them a bunch of times live. Call it karma is good heart bleeds no more. Basically that whole album and the next 2. Them alexisonfire and a funeral for a friend were the pioneers of the post hard-core movement.
Your reaction give me goosebumps
38 Y/O Canadian, Silverstein has been my fav band since they released discovering the waterfront in 2005. I have seen them live probably around 20 times and they sound even better Live! Check out the "Quaranstein" special they made during the lockdown! Has this song and 4 others they recorded live at their homes!
Bruh I went to school with these guys crazy to see you react to them
Damn... bringing back my early 2000's emo self. Gotta Guage my ears back out.
🎶You lieeeeee through your teeeeeth
U smile in ur sleep. 😁
In this moment. The in between
These guys are still releasing bangers. They age like fine wine. I’d highly suggest listening to one of their newer heavier songs as a normal upload. I think you would dig their song Retrograde on the Dead Refection album.
It is like Clue. They’re all wearing the same colors. Fun fact: this mansion is the set from Billy Madison.
Silverstein is amazing. They got me into soo much other shit.
the used - the early stuff. they were legend emo scream vibes!
It is an honor to introduce you to the best band in the world. Also, you should listen to their album A Shipwreck In The Sand (that's what my profile picture is about, it's their album artwork)
This song was on my warped tour cd ☺️✌🏼
This is already classic
"What's he - cleaning the camera?"
Pretty sure the butler was trying to hit you up with some chloroform, hahaha. XD
The "Clue" game is the whole reference to this video. Nice catch
Note to self by from first to last
