- Hey, have you heard about the orcas suddenly attacking boats? It's like these ocean giants have had a change of heart and decided boats are the enemy. Some scientists think it might be because of past negative encounters with boats or just playful behavior that turned aggressive. There’s also a theory that they could be teaching each other these new behaviors, which is kind of wild. Whatever the reason, it's definitely making waves and keeping marine biologists on their toes!

It could also be because boats would go out and steal baby orcas from their mothers and their pods. Doing that would traumatize the mothers and make the entire pod view boats as the enemy.

Well I think that this behavior started because a boat may have hurt her or one of her babies whatever she is now taking a revenge on the boats !! It’s just my thoughts no actual proof of this . However these animals are so intelligent that it is very possible!!

They are tired of humans behavior.
I don't care what the statistical odds are. Orcas are terrifying. I would imagine even moreso if they're attacking your vessel. I would not be riding boats in that area. I would sell my boat and leave them alone.
I found out just yesterday that orcas are actually dolphins.
Yup. They got the name "killer whale" from the name "whale killers" that sailors gave to killer whales after seeing them hunting other whales.
I never made the connection. I see the resemblance now. They're like...mega dolphins.

I was on a 90 foot stern trawler there was an orca grabbing the main wire and pulling it a couple feet then roll down the wire it did it for about an hour and left I don't know if it was trying to pick a fight it's not too dog compared to a stern trawler
