Jurijs Jutjajevs , I would like to see South American “green neon tetra” (Paracheirodon simulans) in that tank. The colouring of the fish could compliment your scape. The schooling behaviour of the fish would add to the tranquility of your creation. My second choice would be Green Kubotai Rasbora.
I suggest Pseudomugil furcatus. They are very active, stay small and they are different than usual suspects... You think outside the box so the fish have to be also spectacular.
@@JurijsJutjajevs Well, RUclips land - once you begin following aquascaping, contains some incredible scapes. Looking through the current work of the top scapers, it feels like you guys are all up there. So to see this scape, which just feels different - it just feels like it has a deeper sense of scale and depth, was just a breath of fresh air. The fact you didnt even know what style it was, or how to really describe the style, also adds credence to the fact it is so original. I realise there was no carpeting and just a fine selection of beautifully placed epiphyte plants, which I think makes it even more special. I think the fact of it lacks carpeting plants gives it more scale. The selection of rocks is brilliant, the mini landscaping rocks giving the huge rocks scale. It looks aggressive and menacing one moment, then majestic and serene the next. Ive spent a long time just looking at this scape! Its brilliant, well done :) Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jurijs, stunning looking rock formation simple but very effective, love the subtle planting . Great to se a follow up video with hygrophylia maturing and filling out . All the best, Martin
Great video as usual Jurijs👍I'm loving Pinnatifida at the minute Defintely on my list for next scape. Fish choice I would love to see Sawbwa resplendens (Asian Rummy Nose). Thanks for the inspiration😊
Even though these China rocks appear a bit kitschy when be seen in person - especially the ones with the little plastic plants on them - this layout proves that they are actually really impressive, when they're placed properly. Turned out pretty nice 👏🏻 We should consider another visit of the scapers longe in the future 🤔
This is so nice, Jurijs. I like that you used a minimal selection of plants, which really is in keeping with what might be a natural habitat that a human might walk into...especially where I live in the desert. I think a fish like the Black Phantom Tetra would be lovely in this aquarium. High quality species have beautiful, high dorsal fins that curve back toward the spine when mature, and the females have a lovely touch of red in their fins. Thank you for sharing this scape with us!
Schöne Arbeit, gefällt mir sehr gut. Habe gerade mein allererstes scape mit der dark start Methode am laufen und bin so unsicher was ich für Hintergrund Pflanzen nehmen soll kannst du mir das Tipps geben? Lg gerrit Mach weiter so👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice scape Jurijs....I love Pinnatifida however in one of my aquariums is maybe something problematic because it melts quite. And I can imagine black neon tetra probably....with this type of stones they would be good choice for me.
Your aquascape's are so beautiful ❣️ nd your work is so professional man I like the way of your working 👌😍 I has question regarding of water parameters what you are using with ro water to get the parameters ... Thank you 😊
This is really a beautiful scape. It is kicking me a lot to scape similar to this... I am going to scape Hygrophila Phinatifida - UK on big sized Black Lava Rocks.
Juri, very good job with stones! It's art. I like the original tank from mr. amano in Nigata. And you do this very well. The dentis tank too, even this one. Perfect job. And what kind of fish? Maybe Paracheirodon simulans? Green neon tetra. They are blue and stand out on background of red Higrophillas. If there are mountains in the tank, a large shoal of small fish like neon tetra will be like birds.
Hi, really awesome tank! I would like to ask which type of sand do you use in this tank? Look similar like colorado... but is more natural I think.. Thanks :)
Another stunning aquascape, I look forward to a follow-up. I expect it would be too extravagant to assign a camera to film growth in slow motion; however with the right music and editing, that could be a majestic tranquil video.
Jurijs Jutjajevs , Hmmmm ..... It seems that there might be a challenge in there for an unnamed Danish plant company to provide such a facility. Hi Jurijs, question for you - how to prepare hygrophila pinnatifida for potted ones? they always come too big.. so where should i trim them before sticking them to my hardscape?
if they already have side shoots, trim above the side shoots and use the bottom part, you can also use the trimmings, just squeeze them somewhere inbetween the rocks. if they dont have side shoots yet, keep 2 pairs of leafs and cut the top, you can create several cuttings this way, basically stalks with 2-3 pairs of leafs can be used
Great scape. I've been learning a lot from your channel - thank you. I have bought this type of rock two years ago and it was sold as mini landscape rock at my LFS in Toronto. When I researched online, apparently Japan had banned the export of seiryu rocks in the early 00s. Is there a difference? Mine does have a lot of the white veins and was blueish hue when first setup. Now it's a very dark grey like in this video. Either way I think it's a great rock to work with and it certainly not as expensive as what I've seen sold as seiryu online. Retail is $2.99/lbs CAD = € 0.64/ 0.45 kg
Seiryu is a trade name that has been used by ADA. I think its replaced as Ryuoh stone. Whatever, there are several different rocks on the market all looking kind of like Minilandscape. I have seen similar rocks my self in Austria Alp mountains and at the Gibraltar mountain. I guess there must be more locations around the world
@@JurijsJutjajevs if undecided on fish stock still I would suggest a bunch of German blue rams. Not typical fish that would be used for awesome setups but they are good with plants and are slow eaters. They stay small and very colourful too.
Ohh i love it. It is different. I was thinking of doing a scape with no plants in the substrate. All on wood or rocks. Actually today i grabbed a 'showpiece' piece of wood. Breathtaking and full of places to insert plants. When you use Monte Carlo like this, do you add a bit of soil in the crevasse or nothing? Again congrats. You are a true artist !! xx (i forgot to add: i would add a mini fish that is pale to contrast with the beauty of your creation)
I wonder if you could used crushed hematite for a metallic looking sand to imitate the river water's surface of Guilin, China? Maybe use some dwarf hair grass along the rock's bases.
I still struggling with pinnatifida in my tank, I buy it emersed and cut with no root. I planted it on rock for 2 weeks. most of its leaves fall off and still no root or new leaf. some remaining leaves are changing into brown, is it still possible to adapt and survive?
Sure, with right plant choice and good maintenance one can keep an aquascape for many many years. Best example is Takashi Amano private Aquarium in his house. I think it was build 2004 and its still the same layout.
I had Pinnatifida growing healthy in a tank and suddenly it started to grow transparent and get holes in the leaves although my lighting/ferts didnt change. Rest of my plants grow fine
Very delicate fish. I once have had them many years ago. I think they are best for small and very lush planted aquariums. In a large and open tank like this, something larger and more robust might be better suitable
The rockscape looked great. I just wish you added 2 or 3 species of tanganyika rock dwellers and no plants. The plants don't seem to improve scape, at least at this stage.
