It's strange, even before know the golden ratio, my eyes naturally set scapes up in this way as it's the way we see nature without even thinking about it. Great video guys :)
Yup for many people this comes naturally. Others having a hard time to see these layouts with a photographic eye. For them, it may be helpful in some way. 👍
@@GreenAquaShop oh yeah for sure. Certainly wasn't taking anything away from this very informative video
😊 👍
O snap MD!!! Lol
@@GreenAquaShop when you invite MD to hungary? Balazs with MD would be hilarious. Yeah... i know that that conversation was year ago, but still...
Im a newbie to this hobby and im so grateful for green aqua. All these videos feel like a free workshop webinar to me
Glad you enjoy these 👍
How's your tanks these days?
@@multipletanksyndrome hi thank you for asking! It's going pretty well now i guess. Im a student in a dorm, after just half a year i gave up having the perfect aesthetics & techs 😂 my betta died few months ago and now i just keep lots of cherry shrimps in a 5 gal tank with a forest of easy plants and some pothos & peace lily in the hob filter. Far from my expectation in the beginning but it's a healthy tank :))
@@chikihc Sorry to hear about your fish. I'm sure you're learning. When you graduate, I hope you have space for a bigger tank.
You know Balazs. That sci-fi tank you showed has really stuck in my brain. Saw it a few years ago and created a tank similar. I didn’t know it was your tank. But I love it
Couple minutes ago i thinking about rescape, and BAM!! Ur notification bell ringing about hardscape layout. Its the right time hahah thanks dude 🍻
So it came in timely. Enjoy and hope to get you some inspiration, good luck with your scape! 👍🏻
Love that you showed us the golden ratio! Thank you so much for you informative and valuable videos!

I know what you mean bro, but the hardscape is here in the video for you guys to see and maybe get inspired from it, so its mission is fulfilled. 😊
Thank you Balazs! You made your promise and came up with the video on hardscapping. Great tips and very informative. Keep it coming👍👍

Thats the video I needed! Perfect job, guys! Thank you for this beautiful channel.
Thanks for watching, for following us and for commenting regularly Tom, your support with your feedback is very very important for us to continue to provide this type of content to you. You are great!
Very informative video. It really changed my perspective of how an aquarium should be built up. I love the golden ratio theory - it resembles that for taking photos. 👍
It not only resembles, but it's totally something that comes from photography and fine arts. Really glad that you had a revelation here, good luck with building your new tank with that idea in mind. Cheers.
Welcome to the beautiful world of aquascaping! I love aquascaping
Cheers, we have that in common. Thx for watching. 🙏👍
This guy perfecting in minutes, what I've been struggling with for weeks.
WOW WOW WOW What a great video. It is so practical for those of us who are in the research and learn phase of beginning aquascaping. Being a visual learner, the use of the Golden Ratio graphic is huge !!!!! Thank you so much for doing this. You have a gift for teaching.
Thanks so much, glad you think that. We're doing our best to be able to do deliver quality contents for you guys. Stay tuned.
I love the methodology you use in your scapes. Always so appealing.
Thanks, glad you found it useful, hope to have been able to give you some useful insights. Cheers. 🙏👍
You are the Bob Ross of aquarium scapes. Beautiful work. Thank you for another informative video.

Amazing tutorial! Thanks for this video! I'm going to build an aquarium next month, and I'm going to use these tips
Really glad for that, mission accomplished. Good luck with your tank, I'm sure it will be nice. Cheers.
This is the best tutorial I've seen on RUclips. I've studied this video. Thanks!
You're welcome and thanks for the support. Cheers 👍
This is the tutorial I been looking to learn how to aquascape. Thanks
You are welcome, glad you liked it.
It is amazing to learn the tips on how to put rock and wood in the aquarium! Thanks for the excellent tutorial!
You are welcome, glad you found this useful. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers!
"Dobrotka Norbert - Spikes of the Dragon" it's fantastic! I love it...
👍🏻
Thanks for adding value in my little knowledge of Aquascaping 🙏👍
It will grow with time for sure, if you're interested. You are welcome, and stay Tubed! Cheers.
Finally, something about the essence of the GR! I enjoyed it so much, that may I suggest making another video. This was simply too short, as I could watch it for an hour or so.
Thanks Mary, glad you liked this tutorial, yeah, we'd love to have longer videos, but nobody has time nowadays on youtube... Gotta keep it short. 💡
Amazing Video, with a lot of examples and "wrong" examples, very helpful!
Yeah, wrong examples are important too!
Wow!!! Beautiful. Make it look so easy!
Glad you found it useful!
Good job, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Thank you Gianluca 😊
Now that was a great video, learned so much. The creative ideas are starting to flow. Thank you and really hoping for a part 2
Really glad you liked this so much, will certainly consider a second part later. 🙏🏻👍🏻
Great info. Thank you for sharing! Keep on scaping!
You're welcome. We will mate, thanks for watching! 🙏🏻👍🏻
Excellent video!! Very informative and helpful video especially for newbies.
Glad you found this helpful, stay tuned, cheers! 🙏🏻👍🏻
I needed this video. And the part about mixing rocks and wood was a nice bonus. Aquascaping is turning out to be more complicated than I expected.
All knowledge seems more complicated as you dig deeper. It means you already learned a lot about aquascaping.
Best tutorial for beginners like me. Looking forward for more videos!
Love to hear you like the vid. We will do more like this in the future for sure. 👍
The golden section method is the best idea to design a natural aquarium !!! Thank you for the video!!!
Glad you find this useful, you're welcome, thanks for watching!
I've watched quite a few vids on scaping now and this is the first one i have watched through to the end. Not only is it informative but also a) you speak clearly; b) you do not speak in monotone and c) you are not patronising. Thanks for a great video.
You are welcome, glad you like the style. Cheers.
@@GreenAquaShop Quick questions: I am looking for a bigger aquarium. Currently have 60l but fish and prawns have been breeding and it is going to be overcrowded. I am looking for around 190l/200l. Due to size, the location in my house may have to be a corner. I have not seen any aquascaping from you guys for corner aquariums. Is this not recommended? or too hard?
I am looking at either a Juwel lido or if in the corner, Juwel trigon. I see you do not sell Juwel on your website. Is this because you do not think the Juwel brand is good? Is it ok to scape with units with a closed top and inbuilt LED lights?
thanks!
The one thing that I wanted
Just keep doing what you doing you always inspire me 🙏
That's so great to hear Paul. Good luck with your tanks, and thanks for watching, stay tuned. Cheers.
Wow! Excellent. While your store displays are amazing, this adds so much hope on how to get there. Thank you so much for all the help(and the humor you add included)!
Yeah, the workshops show usually the whole process, but there's not much time to detail the hardscape building process, and this video is exactly that. Glad you found it useful, stay tuned for more from us. 👍🏻
I like the way he switched from being really happy to just plain dull serious when he was talking about finding inspiration for the tanks 😂👌🏽
Haha, a real psychopath when it comes to creation. 🤪😇
Great video, lots of useful information. Thank you
Thanks Richard, glad you found it useful. Cheers.👍🏻
Very good video. Thank you. I learned so much with this tutorial.
You're welcome, thanks for watching and please stay tuned for more. Glad you liked it. 👍💡
I dont know why i love all his video..
maybe he's so natural...
More uploads to come ❤️
Whatever the reason is, thanks for watching 😀
I know I criticized you for the inexpensive aquascape video.....
But I have to say this is one of the best and simple videos about ways to set them up. Great Job and keep doing stuff like this....THANKS!
You are welcome. Thanks for the positive feedback this time. :)
oh that quality education right there! thanks for sharing your knowledge! loving the informative vids bro!
Thanks Shawn, glad you like our educational style. 😂😇You're great bro.
This video is definitely a great start point for all of us amateurs! Great info here keep it on!

Gogogo, the more you do it, the better you'll get at it.
Nice video! I really like this one and I've used in my aqua. You guys are amazing! It made all the difference for the layout of my aqua scape. Congratulations for the very good and clear explanation!
Our pleasure!
Very helpful, abt to start a 10gallon. Thought I knew what I wanted. After watching this video, I'm rethinking all of it. But, thank you really!
That's cool, it's always good to rethink our plans, good ideas come through a self-evaluation - always. It happens to me quite often.
Wow, great tips. Just starting to design my first tank !. I like your presentation .
Glad you found this useful, thanks for watching.
Great information ,very well explained thank you Balazs keep up the awesome work.
Thanks Mikey! Glad you found it useful, mission accomplished!
Great tutorial Balazs. I'm new to aquascaping and this type of videos from someone with a lot of experience are really helpful. Now I need to think how to achieve the golden ratio with one lava rock and one piece of moor wood. Greetings from Guatemala
I would place them right next to each other - probably - this is just a speculation, on one side of the tank, with their 'weight center' at the golden ratio point. 💡
I enjoyed the lessons so much. Thank you.
That's great. Mission accomplished, you're welcome! 😎
Very useful video! I can't wait for the hard scape I ordered to show up!! And then making some changes :)
Good luck with your creative game and your new scape! Glad you found this useful, stay tuned for more like this video from us. Cheers.👍🏻
Been waiting for a vid like this. Bravo! Tremendously helpful!
Wow, Logan Rando himself. It's an honour that you commented, I really like your work on Jurijs' videos. Cheers!
Thank you this helped a lot this gave me many ideas for my 5 gallon
Sounds great, cheers!
Your videos are amazing and informative. Keep up the good work.. 👌🏼
Thanks so much for you feedback, it means a lot to us. 🙏🏻👍🏻
I've noticed in the last few videos the sound has been very level. Meaning the volume of people talking and the volume of music in between has been the same loudness. This is excellent! In a lot of your older videos, the cuts with music were much louder than people talking. I was always turning the volume up and down constantly to hear people talking, then turning the volume down as to not get blown away by super loud music. Good job on the editing! It does get noticed!
Thanks, we learn from mistakes really, you are great for mentioning this. This kind of feedback is very important to us. Much appreciated, cheers!
Thanks Balazs for another fine and relaxing video, learned alot in 15 minutes :D
That's great, glad you found this useful. Good luck with your tank! 👍
Till last night I was not knowing these aqua jargons and thinking of making some random artificial tank setup, thanks to your channel today I got an aquarium and I have started scaping, all planted🤘
Cool, good luck with your scaping, check out our tutorials for more info and knowledge.
The Golden Ratio was always confusing to me. This was very well explained. Thank you
The best aqua channel on RUclips 👌🏼👌🏼
So glad you say that, thanks a lot mate. Cheers. 🙏🏻👍🏻
This chanel is just amazing and helpful
Thanks so much, glad you find this useful.
I was somewhat confused about the GOLDEN RATIO till you broke it down for me. Now I can SEE IT when I look at nature for inspiration!! Wish I could send you a picture of what it was. Lol
LOL. I watch "nature" like that always. :)
I was thinking how am I going to scaped my tank before I got recommend this tutorial 😄, now I know how I'm going to do it, thank you for showing such a good video 😁.
You are welcome, glad you liked this, welcome to the channel, check out our other tutorials to for more info. I'm sure they'll help you a lot.
YEESS GREEN AQUA, so inspirational. Thank you
You're welcome, thanks for watching this.
Thanks for doing a video on this topic!
Thanks for you too for watching 👍
Thank you for all the great content. I would love a video that talks about CO2 systems and shows a variety or regulators. It would be cool to see the ADA CO2 systems explained as well.
CO2 topic is really on our list. Will do a new video on it sometimes. Not sure tho we can demonstrate too many regulators. But can talk about the issues on most of them and why to go after a good one even if that is a little more expensive sometimes. 👍 Request noted!
Great Video! This was very helpful
Cheers!
Thanks so much for good advice!
Hope, it was usefull. :)
Thanks for watching us.

I like your videos. I try to make one planted aquarium now.
Good luck with your tank! Enjoy!
This video is so good! Full of useful information. Greetings from Poland 💕🦐💕
Another great video, golden ratio is much like the thirds in photography. Basically good composition for the viewer.
I bought a Nano tank and would have filled it with plastic sh.... from the pet shop. Thanks for saving me.
Watching you work, and the finished results are very therapeutic.
Haha, sounds good that we saved you. Good luck with the tank, glad you like our videos.
Great work Balazs! Fun video 😁👍👍👍

Thank you for all the great content.
You are welcome, thanks for the support!
Wow! So nice! It was my first lesson in aquascaping. Make more! :)))
Will do! Cheers, thanks!
Personally I have always used the "rule of thirds" method (quick and easy). Its interesting to see the golden ratio method and will try use it as it seems you can create dynamic scapes using this method. Thanks!!
You're welcome, yeah, you are right, it's very dynamic. It has been widely used in photography and cinematography for decades. 💡
What a brilliant video!
Thanks so much Ingrid, glad you like the setup rules tutorial. Cheers.
