- We believe that the most creative part of the aquarium hobby is playing around with hardscape. Exceptional natural wood and rock arrangement are at the basis of the most successful planted tanks. This is where most beginners will struggle. In this tutorial video, we will present you with our favorite hardscape types, one-by-one. beautifull video gives me inspiration for my rescape of my 80p aquarium in 2 weeks hope it turns out good because i am still a beginner(10months into the hobby)
Good luck with your tank, I'm sure you'll like it a lot! Cheers!
Love all your content! I feel so inspired watching your videos!
Glad you liked this, thanks for the comment! Cheers!
Seiryu stone and spider wood is all I have to choose from in my city. Aqua scaping is not a thing here in Hervey Bay Queensland Australia. I picked up this hobby late last year and love it. I donated a tank with my scape to restaurant and people love it and ask if it's "real" "where can I buy it"( they thinking it's plastic and can buy whole tank set up like that)
And I'm umm 😅 you can't just buy it you have to put it together.
So it just a small 45cmx30x25 tank
With seriyu stone with a hand made bonsai tree from Vietnam off eBay (because I wasn't happy with the spiderwood) " Java moss on it, and Monte Carlo. Simple but effective, just had red cherry shrimp and neon Terra's.
I get super excited when green aqua posts new videos 😆
Working on my new layout soon.
I have about over 200 pounds of dragon stones.
That sounds very exciting. Good to have material to choose from!
Seiryu stones are my favorite! Great video as always!
Yeah, those are great. I love the shape and texture of seiryu stones too.

Good job

You're welcome my friend.
I like all of your videos and work! It's soo relaxing to look at. 😅❤ I hope you do a video on the different plats and how to plant them. Or more exactly not to plant them. Like roots that grows and are not hidden if you plant them in some way.
Alright! Noted! Good idea. Cheers!

Beautiful and inspiring video. Using it for my college assignment where we are to review and evaluate a tutorial. Thanks to you guys, I am getting an A!!! Awesome tutorial and has all the elements we have been learning about in the creating tutorials part of our Technical Communication course at Purdue! :-) This has amazing visuals, great graphics, exciting sound and very interesting narration by an eloquent speaker with a great sense of humor. Great info on hardscaping and aquarium environment. Plus I am an aquarist so I will be using a lot of the tips in this video. Thank you!!!
LOL, this is great to read Lisa! Congrats on your A, thanks for choosing our video!
Great !
Wow I didn't realize the contest tank took 3 weeks to glue all the stones. That just truly shows the dedication of the Green Aqua team to showing the beautiful world of aquascaping to the world. The information, the time taken, the effort and quality are the best on the internet. High fives to the whole team!
Thanks! Glad you appreciate our effort, you've been supporting us for a long time, thanks for that too!

You're welcome, thanks for watching!
Very informative and one of the very interesting topic 😍😍👍👍👍.
I do agree that initially we will start with minimum resources and try to think that it will create something heavy.
But after few months when i started following green aqua..the art of Aquascaping is really changed in my mind..
Now in my 60p I have try to did what I learned mostly from green aqua videos. Also thinking to do some major changes for next year IALPC 😊😊
Thanks for watching us for this long, and I'm sure your new IAPLC scape will be stunning! Good luck with the entry next spring! Cheers!

Loved the variety of sands you showed in one of your earlier video of sand selection.🙏

Brilliant inspiration by watching your videos 👍
Thanks so much 🙏
Great video. Thanks for posting
You're welcome, glad you liked it.
Great video Balazs! Lots of info and great ideas for hardscaping! My first aquascape I used Dragon Stone, love the texture and detailed look in the tank. I found a new one called Elephant Stone here in the US. Love the look, texture and detail. Definitely want to use in my next aquascape soon.
Yeah, I know that rock, beautiful. Good luck with the new layout.
Thank you!!!!
Sir really congratulations for 300k.I am feeling proud as a planted tank hobbyist
Thanks so much for the support. Without you guys this would not have been possible!
Perfect explanation thanks 😊
You are welcome, glad you liked it. Cheers!
Balasz I love this video, very informative, and less promotional material and in this video. You really set the standard for high quality video, editing, narration and informative content! I use a drinking water safe single part Epoxy putty to glue rocks together. Steelstik by JBWeld but there are probably others in plumbing supply and hardware stores. It has no noxious odors or mixing of an activator required and is safe for livestock and your hands.
Nah Jordan, I don't really care about promotion, I care about the hobby and the good products that help us to achieve an algae-free beautiful tank. But we've also got to support the channel!
lol that is so true what you've said in the intro.
LOL, exactly. :)
Im a newbie in the "beauty world of aquascaping"
Learned lots fm your channel, thank you!
Im so in love with these pretty stones, trying so hard to limit with the number of tanks Im keeping. Perhaps for us here in Indonesia, we can enjoy this hobi in much cheaper cost than you guys there in Europe.
Perfect.
Cost is not an issue for me. The love for the hobby is! That is universal, wherever we live. :)
Love the video and gorgeous stone special the wild rhino stone😍
Yeah, it has a good name too. :)
What a nice selection so much to choose from lol
LOL, yeah, it is good to have good hardscape indeed.
I like your video content, greetings from Indonesia
Very nice, informative and enlightening video, thanks a lot...
You're welcome, glad you found this useful!
The way you explain things... Better then my teacher.
Cheers, glad you like our ways.
I am from kashmir Hello sir this video is amazing I learn lot of this it is my wish to build live aguarium like u
Thanks!
Wow amazing beautiful.
Thank you so much. :)
Thank you soooo much for adding that video 3 weeks after I've started my 90gal. I hate you guys lol! And to all of you wondering I got one thing to tell you - if you use roots: Step 1 - attach huge stones to sink it. Step 2 add even bigger and heavier stones to it just to make sure it doesnt float. I stopped after step 1 and after filling up the water the whole scape went to sh... so I had to start all over again and I felt like crying. Seriously you would not believe how dedicated to floating roots are lol.
Yes, I know that feeling. LOL. Been there, done that.
Love the chilled attitude🤪 you really should do the lotto any video you produce that has heavy rocks and glass come together you have an😲 oops moment and lucky to get away with it🤫. Its almost a trade mark waiting for it, thanks for the knowledge and ideas great job👍👏👏
LOL, good idea.
Újból egy remek videó 🙂🙃 Gratu !
Köszi Márk!
Always great videos. I had problems with limestone rocks, now I have solved with dragon rocks. I am writing from Italy, I hope to be able to visit you one day. Bye ! 👍
Yeah, limestone is a problem. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers!
Great hardscape selection. 🗻🌄
Cheers,Aqua Garden. :)
Thank u for the video. It is very useful video.
Glad to read this. :)
Thanks for the watching.
Lóri
extraordinario video muy interesante
Thanks for the kind feedback!
U explain very beautifully....
Glad you found this useful, thanks for watching!
This video is very informative! It is unfortunate that my country has very limited rocks or stone, we don't find much in aquarium stores. Also quite costly estimate SGD$8/kg, but can't get much. Whenever i see them, i always admire the beauty of nature and aquascaping. :)
You can probably go out hiking and find some rocks that will not harden the water and not leach silicates into the water.
Excelente saludos desde mexico
Cheers Mauricio.
Always love your scape and ideas... Love your channel and scape... 🥰🥰❤❤❤... Sir really want to watch some fully red plant nano scape tutorial.. Like Rotala H'RA plant....
Thanks for the idea, noted! Cheers!
There were a lot of troubles while setting up the aquarium, and your video helped a lot.
Thank you.
You are welcome, good luck with your tank! Cheers!
Great tuturial.
Thanks! Glad you found this useful. Cheers.
I’m not a beginner but I still love watching your videos
Thanks! You're great!
Semplicemente unici
Grazie Green Aqua
You're welcome, glad you found this video useful. Cheers!
Bal your tutorials are great. Filtration, plants, substrates etc ... great! May as often as possible. Please tell me which stones are easier to drive, dragons or lava? THANK YOU
Lava is probable easier.
Very informative video. 🙂
Thanks so much! Glad you found this useful.
very good and informative !
Glad you found this useful! Cheers.
Thanks for this tutorial. Very useful. Cheers Balazs.
Cheers Luis, glad you liked it!
@@GreenAquaShop sorry. I have a question. At min. 10:00 you said once algae start to grow on the Seiryu stone means there will less calcium in the water?. Also I'm happy to know frodo stone has less calium, I like it. I'm thinking to make a 45P like yours, but different. Greetings!
Yepp, exactly. If rocks are covered with organics and algae they will leach less Ca into the water. Good luck with your new layout.
In almost all aquarium building videos, if you take a bird's flight view when the hardscape is completed, it will help give an idea in terms of both decoration and maintance. Additionally, a comprehensive video on what we should pay attention to when creating a hardscape would also be very useful.
Молодцы super 👍
Glad you found this useful! Cheers!
Wow superb video ever.. your presentations are addictive sir.. lol.. good luck
LOL, Cheers John.
wonderful, as always !! Green Aqua, a question....what can I put under the rocks to protect the glass
and that does not alter the water values? thank you !!
A plastic door mat, polyphoam, etc.
such wonderful
Glad you liked this. Cheers!
Great effort guys
Cheers!
Rocking Video

Cheers, thanks for the support!
Great video guys 😃
Thank you Sam! Cheers!
thank you master 🙏
You're welcome, thanks for watching! Cheers!
Great tutorial Balazs, as always! There's a Seacham Flourite substrate that would match that reddish stone you mentioned. I can't think of the name of it offhand.
We have a lot of pink granite nearby, and I'm fortunate enough to have several quarries within a few kilometers of the house where I can get gravel and fine sand. Further east into the Canadian Shield there is basalt with a fair bit of iron discolouring in it. Would that iron content leech into the water, or is it safe? I've been leery of using it, but it's quite striking.
I don't think that the substrate color is relevant, if you do a good job, it will be covered with a green plant carpet anyway. Granite sounds like a good type of stone! You'll have to get some Iron tests to see what it does to the water tough. It can leach Iron, yes.
Saya sangat suka dengan vidio" anda.
😍😍🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👌🏼👌🏼💖💖💖💖💖💖🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
Thanks! So glad you like this too! Cheers!
Wow You are very Good Master I really like you all videos much love❤️

I really want to see more of that angel tank!
Eventually, we'll do a cinematic update on it! Cheers.
Спасибо!
Glad you liked this, thanks for watching!
That! intro... i will "steal it" jajaaja!
LOL, gogogo.
Hey guys I have just introduced about 15 lbs of Dark pagoda Stone to my 33 G tank. It is an established tank for over a year. Worried about my parameters since watching this video. I didn't think 15 lbs was much so I didn't give it too much thought. Been a week now and I've seen a slight increase, have done 1 water change since. Thanks!
You're welcome. Good luck with your tank!
Very nice video!
I'm a beginner and learn a lot in your videos. Thank you for so much rich content!
How about raw tourmaline stones or raw golden tiger eye stones in compositions (actually I have a lot of them so I'm thinking in use that on my next tank)?
I don't know these so you'll have to look on forums for someone who has used them, or experiment yourself with them, measuring water parameters to see...
Great video mate
Thanks for the comment!
Yay finally 💯
Cheers Dave, glad you got what you waited for. Cheers.
