Humour in music is a dangerous tight rope to walk, it has to be really really well written and performed for it to work. Tenacious D spring to my mind because their songs are very well put together and performed. These guys have done it too, this song is amazing and SO fun!
Best analysis I‘ve seen so far (and I watched all reactions)! Also: „They take the music seriously, but not themselves.“ - That‘s so on point and exactly what makes their gigs so entertaining (and the band members so sympathetic)! You got to the core of that during your first EC experience? Well done, sir! 👏🏻
Chase Carneson I did. Even got my wife to watch it. Love the part in the end, about taking musicians that create fun music (if well done) seriously. 👌🏻 Plus, your reaction here reminds me how I felt when I watched my first EC music video back in 2013 - it was WE ARE THE MESS (from the album of the same name) and that song has a pretty similar structure as HYPA HYPA (but it wasn‘t as elaborated yet; but still the track that made me fall in love with them [the older tracks IS ANYONE UP & MUFFIN PURPER-GURK then underlined my feelings]). Keep up the good work - happy to subscribe here. 👍🏻🙂
What I love about Chase's reactions is that he gets me noticing and appreciating parts of the music that I never would have noticed otherwise-things like how different musical parts are working together and how subtle changes work with the overall song. Great stuff.

Read the title and thought of Scooter immediately (a 90s German techno band), because they have a song called "Hyper Hyper". but I thought "no way they would cover it because I knew it had to be some kind of metal-related music. then I heard the first few notes and thought "no, they didn't. they just took the title, the beat reminds me of "Maria (I like it loud)" although it is not exactly the same". then the heavy part kicked in and it instantly put me in a really good mood. the mix of those genres with the humor is done pretty well and I love it. 😁 I love your facial expressions in this one, btw. 🤣
I've watched like 20 of those reaction videos, not because I'm a eskimo callboy fan, but because I found this song on the realse day and I'm loving it since then (even though I'm mostly into EDM). Then i watched "Pump it" from that group in other channels. Then the "we 've got the moves" too! And finally the "Hypa - Hypa" again in other channels. I'll go ahead and say this as it pertains to humor in music; it takes real skill and talent to be able to write good comedy, and I'm not gonna lie... I did NOT know what to make of the song when I first heard it but... the more I'm hearing it, the more I'm falling in love with the song. The guys are CLEARLY very talented at writing comedy, so I kinda hope they continue down this path.

This is like a mix of scooter, lonely island, LMFAO, Andrew WK and some tenacious D
I love your in depth analysis and genuine reaction. Great work man. Brought me to see even more perks of that song. One of the best reacts to that song I have seen.
Thank you, friend. Appreciate the support.
Lol. It's like Nanowar of Steel but on acid. Not a bad thing though.
Italy thanks you v.v

I kinda have a war in my heada right now which song is my officiall metal-summer-hit 2020
Chase, you got my subscription so fast man. A lot of people seem to dislike this but you the same points as me. This song is so fun and beautifully written. Cheers.
God this song is so stupid and silly, I love every moment of it. The crazy screams at the end kill me every single time (I've watched every reaction to this I can find lol). It's like you said, if it is your cup of tea it's something that can make you happy to listen to, and 1986 Miami BREEing at me was definitely something I needed lately too. Thanks again for the in depth analysis on various bits of the production and composition. I feel like I'm learning something.
I am around in your channel for ages!
I 've seen a reaction to this track being uploaded here first (and learned about this band's existance here first too)
Its one of the reactions i didn't watch.
Then i watched "Pump it" from that group in other channels. Then the "we 've got the moves" too! And finally the "Hypa - Hypa" again in other channels. Then your reaction popped as "suggested" and i made a full circle coming back at you!
All 3 songs are so fresh and good! You had it right here for us for 19 months lol and i ignored it. My bad, liked your reaction as usual. It is different as this band is different. And its so fitting!
Be well!
This reminds me a lot of Twelve Foot Ninja who I absolutely love. Will have to check out more from these guys.
Dude I thought of one hand killing video so fast too!
Have you been busy, Frasafrase?

My dude, you broke this song down SO WELL. 1st time viewer, but now a subscriber. Fantastic
Appreciate that.
omg...lol...just about spit my water out when the heavier part came on! Caught me off guard! Very entertaining and a great beat! Great breakdown, Chase! Have a great day! 🤘😄
Glad you enjoyed it. Have A Damn Good Day!!!
I love your in depth analysis. I always enjoy reactions where someone understands music. Plus I absolutely adore this piece!

"Spandauer Hardbass! | 100.000 Abonnenten Special"
This is are the dancing guys at the end xD
Die 200. 000 Abonnenten Version noch nicht gesehen?
Love this song so much and you articulated basically every reason why i love it
Just real good fun, but actually a great song too
🙏
I'll go ahead and say this as it pertains to humor in music; it takes real skill and talent to be able to write good comedy, and I'm not gonna lie... I did NOT know what to make of the song when I first heard it but... the more I'm hearing it, the more I'm falling in love with the song. The guys are CLEARLY very talented at writing comedy, so I kinda hope they continue down this path.
You’ve 100% got a new subscriber, that’s a beautiful reaction & breakdown. I’ve been binging this song and watching every reaction for the video since it dropped and by far this was the most expressive & well done, props to you my dude.
Eskimo Callboy are as incredible a band as they are incredible people. They just do what they want, and they do so with a lot of passion and professionalism, despite the sometimes scetchy approach. Hypa Hypa is a great example of that.
I'd really like to see you react to one of their more serious songs, Chase! If you got the time, you should check out their song "Prism".
Thanks for the video!
Dude your facial expression and shrugging at the end.. it killed me! It described perfectly what you feel after listening this song for the first time. Great insights why this song works by the way! Will follow you for sure! Have a damn good day yourself!
Nice one. Appreciate the comment and support.
Best reaction worldwide.
Wow, thank you!!!
@@ChaseCarneson you're welcome - just my honest opinion.
Watched a dozen reactions and yours in combination with your analytics and explanations was by far the most informative while entertaining one! So thank you!
that last reaction bit, like the literal "no idea what to tell you, it was plain great" part - i felt that. :-D
If we're adding fun and goofy metal to your list, we've got to get Nanowar of Steel - Valhalleluja on there. The video and lyrics are silly in the best way.
With a side order of Gloryhammer. And for dessert - Brothers Of Metal! ⚔️
This is one of the best reaction video’s i have seen so far
Aaaah honestly thank you so much for that 🙏
@@ChaseCarneson It is. And I've watched it about 50 times since release. It makes the song even better.
saw so many reactions, don't know why nobody mention the girl is freakin gorgeous
Chase, you did the perfect mixture of emotional reaction, filled with useful information around the songs. Love to see your reactions, it's really great fun. Keep going...
