My favorite video to watch reactions to before this was "Pisces" by Jinjer. I still love watching people react to that, but Eskimo Callboy is on a whole other level. I can't get enough, and they're coming to Portland, Oregon (a couple hours away from me) in October 2022.
This is one of 2 bands that mix EDM and metal in a good way. (Blind Channel is more similar to Linkin Park and I'd consider that Nu Metal, not a mix of EDM and metal, but adding electronic to metal) Where Eskimo Callboy really mixes all kinds of EDM with metal, in this case 90s eurodance (strong influence from Scooter) the other band is named Enter Shikari and they've been in a league of their own with the dubstep-metal mix they've been creating. To me Enter Shikari is playing in a genre on it's own and Eskimo Callboy is the only one coming close.
Blind Channel are gonna tour with these guys, ( announced today ) so I had to check out your reaction video. " Most bizarre " is what i first thought, watching the hilarious video, but hey it's good ! Thank you for the great video again !

Ok, my fellow german EC fans are getting lazy... here are some facts about Eskimo Callboy. The Band was founded in 2010 and has released 5 studio records, 2 EP's and one live album. This was the 1st single of their newest EP MMXX, released September 2020. It shows off the new clean vocalist Nico (blond mullet, white cloths) who joined the band in early 2020 after Sebastian „Sushi“ Biesler, a founding member, left the band. The style of the band is Metalcore with a lot of synth and EDM influences. But to be honest... they just do what they want and have fun with it. For some older songs with Sushi I highly suggest: 1. Best Day feat Sido (one of the most famous german rappers) 2. Muffin Purper-Gurk (great sond and another "interesting" video) 3. Crystals (some heavier Metalcore) 4. MC Thunder (you have to see it... its hard to suscribe But seriously WATCH IT) Some Songs from this EP: 1. MC Thunder II (what can I say... there had to be a continuation) 2. Hate/Love (more of a grounded, mainstream hard rocky song) Fun facts: The "dance crew" at the end is a group of well known german youtubers/streamers/influencers from Berlin Spandau. This szene was from the 200k subscribers special of "Kalle" (the dancer in the middle with the long blond wig). EC allowed him to use the song for his video. You can find it here on youtube too. Just search "Spandauer Hardbass Gang" 😁 Also in this dance group is "HandOfBlood" (or just Hänno) the biggest gaming RUclipsr of germany with over 2.27 mio subscribers here on RUclips. I watched other reaction video on youtube, an this one is so much better. It's honest, it's real review - looking through visuals and music, and in my opinion it's really unique good blend of styles. Other videos just seemed to make fun of them. And there is a major difference between making fun of and having fun with.

It"s going to be... 💥 Personally I have kinda vague feelings about this band and this video particularly . It's so hilarious and playful and full of self-irony too. But then the serious part of me wakes up, and tells I shouldn't support this because of the immanent exploitation of female stereotypes; or is ok because male figures are also made fun of as (German) stereotypes. Must confess, that I can't help laughing at these "Jûrgens"😂 And I simply love that kind of music. More serious issue is the first part of the band's name, which already has caused some depute about cultural owning and criticism of using a word that has a colonialistic and in some cases racist inclining. Is it OK, because doing so the band is knowingly challenging conventional rules and roles?
If you want to know what genre this is, its called Electronicore its a genre or music mixing Metalcore and Post-Hardcore music with electronic music elements, the electronic music can come from a really big variety of genres, Hardstyle, Gabber, Trance, EDM and a lot more. This is a great genre if you want something heavy but also catchy and melodic.
I totally remember the Kool Aid guy going through the wall :) I thought you would have a lot of fun with this. They released cover versions of this song with other bands and the music videos are all on the Eskimo Callboy RUclips page.

look for "Scooter- Hyper Hyper". Thats where the name comes from. Scooter is/was a german EDM Techno Band ;) Its Iconic in Germany
They habe several versions with different artists. Even a hip hop version.

Hi Sean ❤wellcome to Europe! This is what you're gonna get 😁 Maybe you already know that our boys Blind Channel are going to a long tour in Europe with these guys in the beginning of next year. It"s going to be... 💥 Personally I have kinda vague feelings about this band and this video particularly . It's so hilarious and playful and full of self-irony too. But then the serious part of me wakes up, and tells I shouldn't support this because of the immanent exploitation of female stereotypes; or is ok because male figures are also made fun of as (German) stereotypes. Must confess, that I can't help laughing at these "Jûrgens"😂 And I simply love that kind of music.
More serious issue is the first part of the band's name, which already has caused some depute about cultural owning and criticism of using a word that has a colonialistic and in some cases racist inclining. Is it OK, because doing so the band is knowingly challenging conventional rules and roles?
You gotta check out mc thunder and mc thunder II. Very similar vibes to hypa hypa.
If you want to know what genre this is, its called Electronicore its a genre or music mixing Metalcore and Post-Hardcore music with electronic music elements, the electronic music can come from a really big variety of genres, Hardstyle, Gabber, Trance, EDM and a lot more. This is a great genre if you want something heavy but also catchy and melodic.
