This is a German metal band and they are just a bunch of fucking hilarious guys. It mixes the funny old school German techno style with metal, EDM and some 80s shit. Best song of the year, brilliant!
Listening to the older stuff from them you will notice they did more heavy metal and harder rock in a kind of Linkin Park style. Amazing stuff. Make sure to watch MC Thunder, another hilarious video and song. (featuring a well known German Let's Player, which is also part of the dancing group at the end of Hypa Hypa)

I don't know if the heavy rock/linkin park thing is accurate. When they first started, they were already mixing metalcore with edm elements specifically in their self-titled debut EP. But yeah they deviated from that a bit and came back to it.

they just got a new singer and completely going off the charts now. they were a bit serious before and quite well known as a core band playing all over the place.. I once did photos of them as a photographer on a festival. theyre very talented and I hope they future content will be just as dope as this song. never getting it out of my head anymore. =D

I guess you know i am a huge Band-Maid fan, but in this video you clearly see: Germans are not angry or serious all the time, they can have fun and they do not take themselves too serious. Not my kind of music, but i watch/hear it anyway, don´t know really why, but it´s also a damn good production and the guys in the end that are dancing are all german RUclipsrs, as a fun fact.

There now is a cover by Saltatio Mortis, you should DEFENITELY check that out, you won't regret. There also is an album planned to be released, only containing covers or collabs of Hypa Hype by various other artists. And these dudes are just completely nuts, in a good way and totally nice.
Just got my tickets for their upcoming US Tour in November 2022.
The irony in this style is that it may be just silly and funny, but they are obviously good musicians. just goes to show that talent don't have to be emotional or technical or whatever puts you in the talented category. Sometimes having fun takes talent too. I love it.
