Russell would eat Snow Leopard ribs with Desert Tortoise soup to keep people talking about him.
Yep, having been aware of his existence for some time, that's the whole of it. He is just desperate for attention.
HAHA so true
☝🏻💯😂
Sadly, it took me several years to accept that is true. 😢 he is very intelligent and very coercively convincing on many levels.. but, in the last few years, what you say is much more evident in his overall character overtime 😚👍
Lol clever and not too far from possible.
Russel Brand is a narcissist. He does not do things for the 'thing' but for how much the 'thing' will increase the attention directed to him
I think you are possibly right. Certainly he appears that way.
Good Point
True - but there is also the possibility he is trying to get in good with Trump so he can move to the US to escape his SA charges abroad and get a Trump pardon for any charges in the US.
I'm a narcissist… I'm still Vegan.
❤
Then other people piggyback from his spare ribs ... hypocrisy.
Joe Rogan wasn’t talking badly about veganism when James Wilks was on his show …and that’s because Wilks brought facts about plant based eating …and Rogan hasn’t had Wilks on since then…which leads me to believe Rogan is a liar
A marked difference compared to musk's ridiculous intervention on veganism and the impact of meat farming on earth
vegans are liars
@SLOC1992 Yeah, being against animal abuse automatically makes people dishonest.
Yeah, ever since that episode Joe has been constantly been putting veganism in a negative light(very rarely saying anything positive). Im sure most of his close friends have pushed him squarely in the right wing/meat-eater stance and it shows with the guests he has had on in the past couple years. I have cut back on watching JRE by about 90%.
@@ScarecrOmega there is nothing positive about veganism lol. its a joke. and joe rogan has enough brains to realize that
I don’t understand why Christians are seen as anti-vegan. I am vegan and Christian, the two do not have to contradict.
yea that's not fair on you, sorry that you have to deal with that
The bible is replete with mandated animal sacrifice. And even normal food for meals has to be prepared kosher. We know what that means. You can be a good person and a Christian. But both that and being a vegan requires ignoring vast swathes of the bible. For example I hope you don’t condone the tenets of Leviticus 20. I left Christianity when I was 28 and left my abusive ex husband. Then I went vegan at 32. My ex did many things to me that are done to animals, including drinking my milk that I expressed for my premature infant daughter in order to ‘get close’ to me after I left him
I heard original forms of Christianity practiced veganism
Other than 7th day advantists, Christians are largely right wing and right wing idiologues/narratives view veganism as being left wing and tend to position themselves staunchly against anything left leaning. I have been vegan for over 20 years and my evangelist/zionist father has never let it go. He uses scripture to argue why I should eat meat, or why it's acceptable to eat meat while contradicting other scriptures. It's a thing.
I think it's along the same lines as 'all Pagans/Buddhists are vegetarian' we are not.
I've never based my opinions on what celebrities think, but now I'm going to never do it even harder.
Being kind to animals shouldn’t be political
Right when I went vegan 10yrs ago I didn’t base it off of any political stance. I just thought it was cruel and unnecessary and didn’t want to be a part of it
no but unfortunately it is vegan.
@@dzeigfinge Veganism is not inherently connected to political or religious ideologies; rather, it represents an ethical position opposing the exploitation of animals. Individuals from any religious or political background may choose to abstain from consuming animal products based on this ethical stance.

theres nothing wrong with eating meat lmao
I am not "religious" but my favourite Old Testament verse supporting veganism imo is: Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food. (Genesis 1:29-30, ESV)
.... and you will die if you don't eat meat. oh yeah, you have to have synthetic vitamins lol

That verse is not supporting veganism. It says we can have plants but it does not say we cannot have animals. In fact, there are many verses that support eating animals like his favoring Abel because he was a shepherd while Cain was a farmer. The visiting angel was fed with lamb and milk. Jesus fed his flock with fish.
lol no, how does that exclude meat ?
In Acts 10:9-16 in the New Testament, where the Apostle Peter has a vision. In the vision, God commands Peter to “kill and eat.” When Peter protests, saying he has never eaten anything unclean, God responds:
“Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.” (Acts 10:15)
This vision symbolizes the breaking down of barriers between Jews and Gentiles, emphasizing that the gospel is for all people, not just those who follow Jewish customs. While it’s not explicitly about eating pork, it represents a shift in the understanding of ceremonial law, including dietary restrictions. This passage is often interpreted as an indication that Christians are no longer bound by Old Testament dietary laws.
Given that he's an addict in recovery, I see his return to eating meat as relapsing in a larger sense.. It's a slippery slope and he might start engaging in his other addictive behaviors again---drugs, sex, alcohol. It's really a shame to see him untethered as he bounces around to one thing and then the other.
And meat is the brother of alcohol. If you consume on, you crave the other. I woildnt be surprised either
I doubt that because the company he keeps is not of alcoholics but he is an addict. He is hooked easily on ego stroking and that's what he is into right now. The alt right celebs and their cool little club of pretend intellectuals.

I only hope he doesn't get back to his r@ping habits too.
@dachsrottweiler How true. I used to ONLY eat meat when I was drunk, this was over a decade ago, but still a strange phenomenon
I think he's chasing the money and fame. Thats the most important thing to him.
I liked him better when he was a Hare Krishna devotee and a vegan. What a downfall in every regard
Religious-based eating is easy to fall back from once someone's religion changes. Morality and science based eating doesn't change as easily.
@veganismyname Quite the opposite at least in my case. I went vegan from vegetarian because I couldn't the hypocrite who revered cows while also exploiting them for dairy. I have known many atheists go back to carnism. Most notable being Alex O'Connor. Yeah, I always knew he was insane, but thought he had kind of figured out his sh1t and cleaned up. This makes very little sense unless there is some financial or personal reason. I guess it's possible he became a weird Christian or something, but it's off-brand (pun intended); he was always the hippy coexist new age spiritual type guy, not a religious weirdo. I guess it probably has to do with allegations coming out against him and the right-wingers cover for people with those types of allegations so... It appears to be an ego thing. He wants positive public attention and he's getting it from right-wing carnist weirdos.
Sorry but that is a cop out. His past behavior (and most likely current) is CRIMINAL There is more than enough evidence as to his actions (exactly like Jimmy Saville), he knows exactly what he is doing. He needs to be held accountable, and he has only gotten away with it as long as he has (starting with the incidents of abusing animals in childhood that he joked about in his book) because he buys his victims off, is protected by the system, boot licks the right people (as seen here) and is a celebrity, oh and of course claims "he's changed" now!

His plant based diet was never going to survive the right wing grift
Lara Trump is a big animal advocate especially in the area of dog rescue. Vivek Ramaswamy is a vegetarian. No need to paint everyone with the same brush.
You people are sad.
Vegetarian is not vegan and someone who grew up in a culture where vegetarianism is a norm and continuing that diet despite the right wing grift, is very different than someone who grew up where not harming animals wasn’t the norm and decided to go vegan. That person is much more malleable and vegan is much less accepted in those circles than vegetarian. And is Lara trump vegan?
What? You think only right wing people are meat eaters?
@@1Sparkmeister JD Vance is also vegetarian, surprisingly, mostly because of his wife. To my understanding he is the first vegetarian vice president (elect) in the US. Tulsi Gabbard is also vegan. It's strange how there is a consistent demographic of right-wing vegetarians, going back a long time. But it is less typical than the opposite, and also doesn't excuse their other bad traits. Still have to respect it though, and it's better than if they weren't.
If Trump & his gang were Vegan, you'd know he'd be head over heels about his vegan diet

I don't understand how people like Brand can say they don't want to harm animals and then go back to choosing to do so. I'm sure the celebrity ego helps. Talking to Jordan Peterson's daughter was probably a signal, Alex O'Connor did the same before he stopped being vegan as well.

I agree with you. Veganism is about freedom and love for everyone. It is also God's design.
I lean right wing, but I never based my decision to go vegan off of political ideology or identity. It was simply a moral ethical choice to not participate. "Folliw the money" is a perfectly apt phrase to discuss what drives Russell Brand.. For him, money trump's all.
I have never understood why people thought Russell Brand was intelligent.
Because he is. He is a brilliant articulated entertainer with a fast creative mind. But it is becoming obvious he is not as smart as he thinks he is.
Being a conspiracy nut and being intelligent must not be mutually exclusive.
I stopped following Russell Brand after learning this. No longer see him the same. He's been influenced & lost his values.
So disappointed in RB. I listened to his podcast a few years ago and could see him falling off the alt right deep end. So sad. I think he and Rogan like to think they're independent thinkers but they let their egos act in extreme in response to criticism from the media left as in sexual allegations for Brand and criticism of using pet ivermectin for COVID for Rogan. But going completely Right is not the answer either.
veganism does not have to be a right versus left thing. I know a lot of righties who are vegan. Veganism is about freedom for everyone. I know a lot of lefties who are not at all about freedom.
Pictures of Jesus always depict him gently holding a lamb - not slaughtering the little fellow! 🐑 There are no mentions of Jesus eating meat, except after the resurrection when he asks for food (I think bread and fish). I hope Christ-spiracy opens the mind of the Christian community!
Jesus also probably ate lamb since he observed the passover. At passover, lamb is supposed to be eaten because that holiday references Exodus in the bible, where a lamb was sacrificed and its blood was put over the doorposts so that the biblical god would skip over the homes of his followers and only kill Egyptian first-born sons. The lamb was also sacrificed as a sin offering to the biblical god, which is why Jesus is shown with lambs and why he is considered "The Lamb of God". The biblical god also preferred Abel's sacrifice (an animal/a lamb) over Cain's sacrifice (fruit), and the biblical god likes the smell of the burning flesh of animals like sheep (Numbers 18:17). The biblical god doesn't seem to be peaceful nor pro-vegan/pro-vegetarian.
Dr Milton Mills makes sense of the seemingly inhumane aspect of the creator, and also other things that people misinterpret from biblical works. He is one Christian that I do respect: he is a plant-based proponent who defends vegan ethics, and is a very interesting lecturer.
@@lovestarlightgiver2402 there is zero evidence that Jesus ate lamb at Passover. In fact, it is clearly absent in all the Last Supper stories. There were Jewish sects at the time that were vegan and against animal slaughter.
If you want to leanr more, my podcast interview with Keith Akers, a Bible researcher and also interviewed on Christspiracy, is quite enlightening. ruclips.net/video/dFL804Q0fog/видео.htmlsi=TTcmXmG-b5LzsfzA
He’s been hanging about with Jordan Peterson and the other egomaniac carnivores for too long.
Birds of a feather, flock together.
I am ashamed to say I used to be subscribed to him, but I started to notice him gradually pedaling more and maga nonsense. I unsubscribed a while back, but I'm shocked at how shocked I am about his flaking out back to eating death flesh. So disappointed.
@@teagoldleaf4137 Maga > Harris… contrary to what most would say, I don’t think most democrats give two shits about advancing veganism

It's stories like these that make my family think that one day I'll give up the "vegan thing". Your channel was the main thing that helped me and my husband go vegan on june 7, 2017 and we're never going back. I can't explain why but its maddening for me to hear "vegans" be so passionate about animal rights and then go back to eating them.
Sad. He’s been going off the rails steadily for a few years now, and he couldn’t transform into a full ego-centric conservative without showing himself eating dead animals. Huge surprise 🙄
Russell Brand has no center, despite all his woo woo spiritualist pretensions. It's kind of fitting that as an opportunistic narcissist he should wind up at Mara Lago. lol Another career move, I suppose. The guy was always kind of a "fringe" vegan, really, rarely putting animals at the center of his statements. Buh bye Russell.
The poll I heard was:
People who self-identify as liberal are 10% vegetarian and 5% vegan.
People who are conservative are 2% vegetarian OR vegan.
When I was 13, my dad took me fishing. I knew I was causing pain to the fish but because my family and the law said it was ok I assumed it was ok too. Nothing I do now can overturn that I treated someone in a way I would never accept being treated. I see why slavery lasted decades and how the holocaust happened because I was no better than those abusers. I agreed with veganism in May 2023 lazy to switch until 2024. Animal exploitation must be abolished!
Commenting to support Mic and his channel. Thanks, Mic!
I'm so grateful for you!!
Doesn't really matter if he's vegan or not. At this point what he stands for is gross and the man has multiple sexual assault allegations against him!
In 2014 I was sure George Monbiot had lost his mind. Brand was never sensible, never intelligent, never funny. He made Joe Rogan look smart, for crying out loud. He's an annoying troll and was never anything but an annoying troll. He thrives on attention, because he's a baby. Can we try just ignoring him and maybe he'll go away?
My favorite Christian vegan is Dr Milton Mills (a practicing ER doctor I believe) - he has a video (in Afro-vegan society channel) about Bible and veganism - I highly recommend,
also his other lectures about human anatomy being frugivore, and about Flowers being the first human language are so poetic ❤
Ah, the Human Weathervane! He's trying to evade SA charges by transmogrifying into someone else, and it's not working. Thanks for posting!
Never liked him. He's an egomaniacal sensationalist.
you life must suck lol
Yes it's definitely social reasons. He started as a fairly normal anti-establishment and anti-woke leftie, then got swept up in the manosphere to carnivore diet to Christian pipeline that took so many men over the past few years. It's sad to see. He just couldn't hang with so many carnivore and keto dieters while being vegan anymore, so he decided to abandon his years of ethical living to fit in with the crowd.
Genuinely saw this coming from a mile away. Totally fickle across all aspects of his beliefs/morals and has done a 180 on all of it so I knew veganism would be next. He seems to think the changes to his personality/life are surprising but it’s all actually been very predictable for a while now. Jumps on whatever ‘contrarian’ bandwagon he can. Eh. I think he’ll regret all this one day. But maybe not. I used to admire him back in the day.....now I can’t watch him without genuinely cringing.
@@alexandrapatterson3723 Indeed!! he needs a lesson from Kasey at vegetable police😀
Why is there a flod of ex vegans recently? People that know better and can have anything...yet go back to ignorance.
It's become trendy. Same reason they were plant-based before. Never vegan.
@@moonrisestudiosco Sure it has become trendy. I've read some of your comments and you are extremely dumb. Simple fact that perhaps your tiny brain will understand - if veganism was so good and healthy, NO ONE WOULD QUIT.
Exactly, he can afford a grass-fed nice steak from a healthy cow, so why TF would he eat grass lmao.
@@ptx06 If people worked that way nobody would have metabolic health issues to begin with. People do not value health because it often requires advanced system 2 thinking and long-term planning. If threats are not immediate most people do not care. Nice ad hominem though.
@@moonrisestudiosco No one is getting sick from animal foods. Grow up and stop believing all the vegan BS cherry-picked studies. I am not going to argue with a vegan, it is pointless. I was also one and I also refused to believe that animal foods are healthy. You either do your research properly or keep eating grass if you think you're a cow.
"I was a grifter but now I'm a different kind of grifter!" -the tone deaf guy who's political opinion should not matter as a "celebrity" who's not even from here. Why are we calling him a comedian? How long has it been since he's done ANYTHING
Certified Grifter
RB is kinda like a beach ball that just gets tossed around with no foundation or moral compass.
He's adopted a new persona. Who knows who he really is.
He probably doesn't know himself
I'm not surprised. Russel Brand went crazy recently, promoting Trump and spitting unrelatable words about God and Jesus, behaving surprisingly arrogant for a supposedly enlightened being.
As a fellow spiritual person (who will never use spirituality as an excuse to quit veganism), there was a time when I used to watch Russell Brand, but I've long since stopped because his claims to being vegan have always felt hollow to me. Even when he was supposedly still vegan, he gave away how little he actually cared about animals on many occasions. Like in a conversation with Rich Roll, Russell talked about eating chocolate and Rich asked him if it was vegan and Russell just made a joke like "I was a heroin addict, you're gonna give me shit about lactose?!" No real vegan would act like dairy is this minor, harmless thing which is okay to consume once in a while.
And in another interview, he was asked if he went vegan for the animals, and without directly saying no, he mentioned that he went vegan because what he saw in What the Health pissed him off and then he made a joke about how, now that he's vegan, he's still pissed off because he's hungry all the time. So basically playing into the "vegan food isn't fulfilling" nonsense and making a mockery of his supposed ethics. I watched his stuff for years and there were many other instances like that. Even when he headlined that big vegan event, his speech barely talked about animal suffering and it was mostly him preaching spirituality.
tl;dr: dude was never really vegan and it's no surprise to see him gleefully confess to having started eating a lot of meat with a little mischievous smile on his face. It's deplorable, but yeah, not too surprising.
russell disproves the notion wisdom comes with age - grifter on steroids is an understatement.
That guy as fallen so far I can hardly believe it. What a disappointment.
I never liked him, always thought he was a phony and not funny, always trying to put on a persona. Not surprised, nothing genuine about that guy, all I see is a mercenary who will do whatever is most convenient for his career.
I am honestly glad, he was one of those embarrassing pseudo vegans you don't want on your team because they make us all look bad. I doubt he ever really was to begin with, it was just a part of his brand to associate with anything remotely anti-establishment.
I wonder what his wife thinks of all of this
Only just a few years ago i was visiting London and went to a vegan place to eat. Next to me was two guys and I over heard them talking about how one of them had an interview for a researcher position for Russell. I remember how at that point in time Russell was mostly very respected, and it’s shocking how his downfall has seen him flip his identity so polarised.
I picture a Hipster Situation
Shame on him, Morrissey must be ao disappointed in him
His vibe and voice has totally shifted since this imo. Heavier, groggy
@@NLA108 agree, he sounds/speaks like an arsehole again now. For a year or two pre-covid I enjoyed his channel.
He wants people to trust him after this? Nope 👎
I now find it hard to believe I used to like Brand. I'm deeply disappointed by his slide into BS.
Hmmm... these days he seems.. "off". He used to be quick, witty and sharp but now he seems sluggish and... almost kind of drunk. Is the meat rotting his brain already?

He changed his ideologies to align with an audience and powerful people who would defend him against the serious allegations
He’s “found” god. Nuff said.
Nothing more important.
@ I’m afraid we’ll have to disagree. This is much more important to me: ruclips.net/video/ibLh6MDVKTo/видео.html
Russell Brand found a religious cult. Finding GOD would have made him a better person?
We hear about celebrities being no longer vegan but we don't hear about celebrities still being vegan, because that's not "news worthy". Why would be hear about things being the same today as they were yesterday?
