    I work for Varsity Tutors and I just wanted to say this: As much as I love this company, our number 1 complaint is people who don't read the terms of use agreement when they purchase a membership. If you buy a membership for a certain amount of months, it will continue to bill you unless you call in and cancel it. So for instance, if you buy a 1 month membership and after 30 days you don't call to let them know you don't need it anymore, they will continue to bill you and no, you won't get a refund because it's in the TOU agreement you signed. I hate that we do that, but I can't change it. I'm just a sales consultant!

      @@tracisusong6991 I tell angry customers the same thing! it's no different than other subscriptions but they are furious that they thought they only signed up for x amount of hours/months and was autobilled into the next month with no chance of refund. I'm sure they can get your son set up with a tutor who has experience with private school entrance exams. Just letting you know to set a reminder to turn off the membership :)

    I am currently beginning my preparation for the MCAT. I am a soon to be senior in college and began looking at all of my options, which is how I found this channel! I want to thank you guys for making steamline videos about the different prep courses that are offered. I am pretty sure I am going to use Blueprint, but am still deciding if I want to choose the program that has live online lessons or not. I still have some time before I want to begin my studying, so I want to look further at your analysis on your website. Thanks again for offering all of this information, you guys are the best!!

    I am a Varsity Tutor instructor and have been with the company since 2018. I love working for them. As an Instructor for medical students and it’s topics. I feel like Varsity keeps us on track, as well as help us with any difficult situations. They answer my emails quickly, and provide students with my calendar.
    I look forward to continuing my Varsity Tutor years and meeting new students. I really love my students, and I have the passion for going the extra mile with them, on the phone, text, or email. They are really what makes Varsity Tutors a great decision.

      @@niahniah123 I am not sure what your degree is, but if you match with a student that needs those qualifications, then you will say your interested. But it doesn't mean because you selected that student with skills you can teach. That you will get that student. I have found that if you accept the "instested" as soon as it appears. Then you will get the student. Varsity is 24 hour/7 day a week facility. So often times they will send those offers at 3, or 5 am and if your up and click fast on them. Then that seems to help. Good luck if you apply. They do a background and asked you to fill out what subjects you feel comfortable teaching. They do not take out taxes, that would be your responsibility. But they have great a great team to help you out with any issues you have. I love working with them. Thanks for asking.

    • @elizabethesposito3262
      @elizabethesposito3262 6 месяцев назад

      @@Gree1060 It depends on how many hours the student needs. If I work with them online I make 15 dollars and hour. But if i work with them 2 hours, I make 30 dollars. Some of the students that need help will tell varsity they are in need right then and will pay one and one half the normal rate to get help. I hope this helps. Its a great side job. But you must click and say your interested very quickly to be assigned that student. I don't know what your degree is but they will ask you what topics you feel you can teach with comfort. I lOVE working for them. They will do a background check and have lots of paperwork for you to do. But that is normal any place you go. Good luck and hope you get to be a part of our team!!

      @delilah2839 10 месяцев назад

      That's very rare. I work there (not as a tutor, but as an educational consultant). What subjects do you specialize in? If you're having password problems, call and ask to be transferred to tutor department. We match students based on what they want, so if they are needing help in 9th grade science and also English, we try to get them paired up with someone who can do both, so they can see the same tutor instead of different tutors. It would benefit you if you tutored more than one subject and something common (like basic core subjects from k-12, or college level, like organic chemistry, calculus, etc...those are the subjects we get a lot of calls for). We sometimes get calls for study skills/organization or specific types of test prep (like ACT/SAT/ASVAB, etc. but not as much as others

If you go past that 30 days, then you are locked in but not for 12 months (unless you purchased a 12 month membership).
