How do the tires feel are you confident in them I’ve never tried the brand of tire they have stock on this bike and having confidence in your tires is huge? Also how does this compare to and r3 that was my previous bike I hated the seat position being so tall and it lacked power is this a good upgrade?
It’s got power .. a lot more usable power upfront rather than the high rpm power I had to work for on the r6.. if ur comparing this to an r3 for sure night and day difference… for me I’m used to thr tire sizes of the 180 plus this bike has a ton of computer aids.. but tires felt good.. already worked them in enough on each side.. super confident riding this bike ..
Got mine 2 weeks ago, and the bike makes you feel very confident. Power delivery is smooth, tires are great even if i didn’t tested them while raining. I m 6 ft high and feels home, but can easily see smaller rider have some issues. Power might seems overwhelming coming from a r3, but the throttle response, the gear box, everything is smooth, and the different modes really helps. Rain mode really tames it for example, making everything very chill. I m absolutely pleased by the bike, i love her. One thing to keep in mind, the bike is very responsive, very flickable, sometimes a bit too much, you still have to respect the bike…Adding a steering damper wouldn’t sound crazy. But no wobbling or anything like that, that i saw on previous generation. The tank tends to push your leg a bit but no big deal. Always try before buying especially if you are wondering how you will fit on it. But if you are looking for an "upgrade" you re gonna be thrilled ! (Edit: i forgot the only really annoying thing on this bike, the sound of the exhaust and the sound amplifier on the tank makes your ears feels like your driving inside your very own exhaust lol, but maybe it’s me, i m not an old rider, i guess you get used to it. I heard the akrapovic exhaust changes everything, but 2k 🥴!)
@@marielebeau2829 would tank pads help from it pushing or slipping any better or is it more the design of the bike? Thank you for all the feedback I’m actually trying to test ride one this weekend at a ride event so hopefully that will give me a little bit more insight then again seat time for me is everything
@@josephjalbert6286 I was only pointing that the tank tends to spread your leg from your inseam, but on this mt09 you re a more inside the bike than riding on the bike, so this feeling is quite natural(and i have big thigh), and you have room to move back your butt. It’s something i noticed on longer trip, but there is nothing bad with it. The agilty of the bike is awesome, it was more a warning to enthusiasts rider to say that the bike will respond as quickly as your input, which is great but watch out with your input (if you go crazy she will happily follow your command 😉). I evaded a car 4 days ago which was turning without using its turning lights, i was stunned by how quick you can swerve it, it can be surprising. But the bike is so balanced it is not an issue, your riding skill is your only limit. Tank grip are absolutely not mandatory, but always help control the bike, not fan only because i love how the tank looks stock (mine is icon blue, so tank grip kinda ruins the tank beauty 😌, wouldn’t have hesitated purchasing some if i bought it black) I m coming from an mt07, which is the standard bike in my country when passing your license, and this, this is just easier, way more balanced, smoooother. I mean i remember how intimidating she was before i start riding it…My first 10 meters immediately banished this feeling, it is a hell of a bike 👍 You can ride chill and feel confident with every aspects of the bike, then past 6000 rpm its a whole different world, still in control, but damn that thing become FAST. The only thing i would buy instead…is an r9…but maybe my back will agree to disagree 🤣 (NB: a friend of mine tried it, he rides an s1000rr, this kind of stuff, very experienced rider, said great but preferred the 2nd generation because it was…wilder. Everything have been said)
hello, congratulations on the achievement,.. really this new mt 09 is very good, complete and even more refined in addition to the excellent electronics,.. I'm also waiting for this model, I'll change my mt 07,..but the worst part will come be waiting,..because I don't know what happened, but yes, something happened,.. as there isn't much 09 for delivery here in Portugal,..I've already practically done business, I've already signaled it so it's already on the list ,.. otherwise, it would take longer, the estimated date is September. and another thing that also surprised was the price,.. don't pay attention to the advertised price, as it is the base price and not real,.. the price is 11,600 euros,.. including documentation, taxes and fees,.. this is the true price,.., of course the store can give some kind of discount or other gift, in my case they always do,.., but anyway I think it's worth it, because it's an excellent machine, just like the mt 07, also very fun!
Yeah the amount electronics that are on this bike is crazy night and day difference from the 2012 r6 I owned .. wow all the way until September.. the wait will be worth it ur going to have so much fun once you do get it
No there are not, swing arm is different, exhaust on the 2024 requires two probes, different attachments. Probably doable, probably a headache. (Cops will track you, them and everyone with a bit of hearing as MRSMI13Y90 mentioned.) But if someone as a cheaper exhaust solution to yamaha’s 2k$ akra, i m all ears ! 🤣
@@marielebeau2829 Surely later there will end up being,.. as it is a well recognized machine and some brands will do it,.. I also agree, the akrapovik is very expensive,..
I'm loving my '24 09-SP. Originally I considered a loud pipe but same as you I'm liking the "quiet", and the discrete pops and burbles
Having it since April. Moved from CBR650R to MT09. MT is sooo much BETTER!
Yes i would agree .. when i get back home I want to try out the bike but with not electronics assists just for fun .. I do love the quick shifter
Love the new MT09, it suits you! Ride safe bro 👊
Yeah it’s so much fun to ride .. I am enjoying myself so much

Same thing difference in price for the 24 was worth it … wasn’t much either surprisingly

Are the 23 aftermarket exhaust the same as this year.?
I’m not sure .. that’s one thing I haven’t looked into.. I don’t mind the stock exhaust I had so many issues with my r6 and cops and the beach area

hows the seat height? im 5,8 havent been able to find one to sit on near enough
