Daphne, There is always a transition period when you move and for you the addition of to another country and into temporary space makes it more stressful and unfamiliar. Take one day at a time ~ everything will work itself out & you’ll feel at home. It helps if you can put a few things of your own around you in the meantime. You’re doing fine. 😊. I love your holiday kit. 🎄
@@carolracine4356 I spent some time today cleaning out a few shelves in the kitchen and moving a few things around. We should have some nicer weather this week, so I’m hoping to finish sorting out what’s in the trailer and pull out a few things to put out. Thanks for watching!!
You should look into TD bank, as they have cross border banking. I worked there for years and it’s very convenient for US/Canadian banking. They have tons of branches in Maine as well, so easy access when back in the states. ☺️

Yes. It takes time and stable ground to put down roots. When I moved across the country to marry it was the people at first and not the place that grounded me. Eventually I warmed up to where I was and even became a Browns fan!😂 I was new to football. My husband had to explain to me what a first down was! Then I had to learn that being a Browns fan was an emotional rollercoaster! Now we've moved often enough to not really have a home team anymore but we still love football. Hi Daphne. Nice wip & chat. I'm not multi placing yet. Any help how to do this. Iv tried but it upset me . But I do want to try again. Have a great weekend 😊
I hope you are more settled soon. When you were still in the states and talking about getting rid of a bunch of things, my concern was when you got where you were going that you were going to miss all of your own stuff. Simply because its what you had become used to having in your home and then to see what it would be like without it. I wondered were you not going to like using all someone else's things instead of your own like the bed or the sheets. Also, have you changed your mind now about wanting a smaller home than what you had? I wondered about that too. Not having as much space means less for you to clean and upkeep but it also means less space to do what you want to do comfortably. I really hope that you are more comfortable soon. I can only imagine what it must be like. Sending hugs!
@@quinellleftwich1781 Talking to my sister helped a ton - she had some good ideas for how to make the space more ‘ours’ that I will be working on this week. I actually think there is enough square footage in the house, it just has too much furniture in it. Also a staircase that makes the 2nd floor almost inaccessible. So the size itself is ok, I just need a different layout! We’ve already seen a couple of interesting houses, so we’ll see how long it takes for us to find something. Thanks for watching!!
Your sister have really amazing ideas, making things looking more like home is important! Being bilingual is sadly very important in east of the country 😊 In Quebec we mostly ask people to speak french and they're good but east of here it is very more bilingual 😢 Although some jobs will pay you some classes, if you find a job for the government for exemple. I don't know if they're looking for part time people, but usually the fiscal department of Canada need people all the time for various jobs! 😊 The other jobs that are usually remote are jobs on call like banking stuff and informatic, like programming ect... In Quebec we have a website for jobs so I do think there is one everywhere, although it is up to the provinces... For the clothing, took something warm, the east is very humid and the winter is harder with high humidity... The North of Canada is more dry tho so -40 don't feel as cold as a -40 close to water... 😅
@@Stef_T-G Ooh, I didn’t even think about the humidity. I will definitely have to do some research and ask hubby’s family what works the best. I should ask them about the job sites as well! 🤦♀️ Thanks for watching!!
