    I love bladesworn, I was trying to main a highly survivable spec while at the same time doing decent dps and Bladesworn or spellbreaker seems to be the best. My most played spec is dragonhunter but the defensive mechanisms or health pool are just now enough on champions or bounties etc.. I have a question on Bladesworn, how about changing one of the traits to defence?

    Awesome guide! With the new update do you think its possible to use the gear and build from Power DPS and just change the one trait to play Alac DPS?

    How does the removal of flanking on raid bosses in regards to Thief Runes affect this build? Would you still recommend Scholar + Berserker + Assassins?

    I'm having a bit of trouble here. I'm at 75% crit, but I struggle to keep up fury which means a lot of dragon triggers don't crit - any tips for that?

    Assa earing + ring is perfect 100% w/o infusion, better than amulet+backpack

    I have full ascended gear, exactly as recommended with full berserk and assassin amulet and back. I'm only getting 25k dps on the golem. Consistently. I have all buffs and the golem has all conditions. I think I got the rotation down but I cant imagine a 10k difference in dps, any ideas?

      Yes it will. Bladesworn takes a little bit of time to get used to, but it's very easy once you do

    I know this build is like an alternative easy way to play it but I wonder if I were to use mine which signet should I drop?
    And would dropping a signet to use mine be worth at all?

    • @MaselMMO
      @MaselMMO  Год назад +1

      If you want to use mine, drop the signet if might :)
      And it technically is worth it for the extra dragon trigger, but I tend to run into flow issues whe I use it.

    I would disagree with your choice of specs and traits. If you focus on using Dragon Trigger, then Discipline is a better choice than Strength, and you also get extra damage if you pair Warrior's Sprint and Burst Mastery. However, the choice that I am completely against is using Unyielding Dragon. Daring Dragon is the only choice one should use for everything, PvE, PvP or WvW. You have less charges and use more flow per charge, but you get increased damage per charge. As a cherry on top, you get TEN SECONDS of alacrity that you give to your allies, as well as yourself. The only elite that exceeds this duration is Renegade with Righteous Rebel, as it enhances the duration of alacrity by fifty percent. If you focus on equipment that gives concentration, you can enhance the duration of alacrity to absolutely bonkers levels. Bladesworn may have less usefulness for helping allies survive with their own skills, but with Daring Dragon active all the time, your allies would be enabled to do ridiculous stuff to keep everyone alive, particularly if they themselves have low CD skills.

    • @MaselMMO
      @MaselMMO  8 месяцев назад

      Let me tackle that one by one:
      1) Discipline is not better than strength. It may reduce the cooldown of dragon trigger, but has way less damage amplifiers and choices for survivability.
      2) unyielding dragon is the absolute highest damage option. Daring dragon in pve is solely for providing alacrity, and alacrity in itself is not a dps gain in solo gameplay. You cam use daring dragon if you want, bit keep in mind that you lose access to the CC and might from unyielding dragon.
      3) and finally, bladesworn doesn't need concentration gear to maintain alacrity. You can keep it up in full glass cannot gear. Anything beyond that is usually wasted duration. Not sure what you mean with "ridiculous stuff" on allies, but I think you're overestimating the impact of alacrity a little. It is a good boon, but quickness, might, protection and fury and much more important for damage and survivability.

      @@MaselMMO And that's why you pair Tactics with Discipline. Empower Allies from Tactics counters the lack of might stacks from Unyielding Dragon, and if you really want, you can also select Phalanx Strength from Tactics, though that may be somewhat redundant with Empower Allies and Soldier's Focus already available to you. And to counter your idea of less survivability: I have a celestial bladesworn, and I soloed Champion Icebrood Norn in Frostgorge without even coming close to being downed, nevermind defeated. I almost soloed the Kodan and the Fish as well, though I did have some help there, so I cannot say that I did. And if you're lacking protection, Soldier's Comfort is a good answer for that. If you need fury and swiftness, just drop a Battle Standard. It does have only 15 secs of duration, but if you use Daring Dragon, you can easily reduce the cooldown much quicker than you would without it. Plus, with Discipline, you can simply take Doubled Standards to extend the boons granted by Battle Standard. And if you say that you waste concentration on a bladesworn: my duration for alacrity from Daring Dragon is 13 1/2 secs with celestial build, which leaves To The Limit at about two secs without alacrity. Three secs more under alacrity can make a difference on some occasions.

      @@ivanruzic2592 using celestial on a power build is a big waste of stats, as you're not making use of the condition damage and duration. Healing Power also doesn't help you much on bladesworn, and as I said, concentration isn't required either. Celestial is a prefix for condition builds that is not good on power builds.
      You get so much survivability out of might makes right and Forceful Greatsword, paired with fried dumpling food.
      That you soloed some stuff with your build is great and all, but that isn't more than anecdotal evidence. It still is subpar in terms of the tradeoff in damage you sacrificed for the survivability you gain.

      Give this a read if you want some general ideas on how to increase survivability at a reasonable cost.
