On our new instruments we are using a sanding disc maschine of course. Because of the historic parts i want to use traditional ways to restore the instrument.
I helped a pipe organ back together it was a 2 manual23 rank when I first heard about it this man had just moved it he told me I can’t pay you but you can help me I helped him wire the voice up and I helped him install the keyboard’s and I helped him tune it he passed away in 2000

I personally would have used a sanding disc rather than the plane, it was making gauges in the wood.
