    "What you're gonna want to do is restart or reboot" How obvious and pointless, this isn't a FIX to anything at all since it just happens again.

    THANK YOU. Roku's new "upgrades" had most of my channels not loading up shows. I rebooted my router and my laptop was having no problems with the internet. Signal strength was fine, but nope. No go. Then I tried the Roku system reboot et voila. And you explained it all in less than three minutes. Yay!

      I’m stuck.. Roku won’t display on tv tho cords are secure. Now I have no electricity to it now, so I’m out of luck.

    I have my Roku 2 hooked up to an analog TV in one room only...I haven't gotten a new TV there yet. I have problems with my You tube channel only. It starts up fine and then shuts down in the middle of what I am watching. I saw someone below said You Tube was not on Roku 2? I have it so I don't understand their issues. I also have the restart system ...and that does help. But I have to restart every time to watch You Tube videos. Such a pain...but I still LOVE my Roku. :D Thanks for all of your help.

    IT FINALLY WORKED FOR ME. Give this a try..you have nothing to lose if your ROKU is buffering. I purchased another ROKU STREAMING STICK HD/4K/device with the LONG RANGE WIRELESS (the Gray Roku box..NOT the green box). The additional long range wireless wire that comes with it really helped. I moved my Router from the bedroom window to the entrance of my bedroom door (approximately 10 feet) - change to a longer wire if needed and it now works perfect!! my Samsung 50 inch TV is in the living room and it works very smoothly now. my router is approx 100 feet away from my roku. It's not your internet and it's not the ROKU ...it is the router which needs to get as close as possible to the ROKU STICK.
    GOOD LUCK..HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU.

    Thank you. Doing the system restart helped with my issue of the Roku acting extremely slowly and not responding to the remote for several seconds with each click. This fixed it completely!

      I found that the purple screen can be resolved by unplugging both ends of the HDMI cable (tv and roku side) and then power cycling the roku

    I found a reset button behind the ONN TV, then first screen came up: choose language. English was highlighted but couldn't click it. I had a 110 volt power strip and other plug ins under the TV and it was blocking my remote signal. Moved it aside and now all is well. Make sure your remote signal has clear access to the TV. Thanks.

    Thanks bunches! My INSIGNIA ROKU TV had a crazy blinking red light after a major power surge/event that blew up my Comcast Modem (just replaced it Friday). Going to the SETTINGS and re-establishing the WIFI Internet connection cured the problem. While it was a bit of a round-about solution it took about 15 seconds to complete, no more red blinking light...yeah!

    This actually helped. I restarted the system, and now it works. Thought I would have to buy a new Roku stick. I had already disconnected the stick and then plugged it in again, but restarting the system through the menu worked!!! Thanks.

    Thank you for posting this. Apparently, your video is of much more help than Roku support, although it did not work for me. :-( Roku support is absolutely of no help when it comes to error code 014.11. In fact, the agent I spoke with did a screen share with me, and told me not to touch my mouse, as he navigated quickly through my terminal settings, firewall etc. He was telling me that I needed to install security software on my network. (I have 2 other Rokus plus 2 AppleTVs, not to mention computers, phones, etc that are all connected to the network and have no problems.) He was just about to start the installation of the security software (which I find very questionable and suspicious.) I quickly disconnected from the screen share, and told him I did not feel comfortable with that. He asked me to check my other Roku devices. I didn't, and they were online without any issues. When I told him that, he hung up on me. First of all, be very cautious about giving someone mouse control of your computer when they are screen sharing with you. Secondly, do not let these 3rd parties in a foreign land install any kind of software in your computer. I am very surprised by Roku's technical support, and will never buy another Roku product. People should be aware of this.

    My HORRIBLE Roku TV has gone out again. It has NOTHING to do with my Internet connection because the REGULAR TV in the living room is working fine. I have the Roku in my bedroom and it goes out in the middle of a program that I am watching, and then I go into the living room and my REGULAR TV is working just fine. BEFORE BUYING A ROKU TV JUST REMEMBER, IT WILL GO OUT WHENEVER IT PLEASES AND IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION. If I had it to do all over again I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT A ROKU TV.

    Thank you for making this video. It is excellent and solved my problem of not being able to download any channels. I'd rebooted my router and unplugged my ROKU from the back of the TV and it hadn't fixed the problem. Your solution did.

    This doesn't help the sound cutting out issues when in HDR mode or no picture when connected to receiver. It works but the problem starts up again shortly. Only way I see to resolve is to get out of HDR mode and just put it on basic 4K which defeats the purpose of having HDR.
    It's a bug that coincidentally started recently and they don't want to fix it because they'd much rather have us upgrade to their newer product.

    The only thing that I would add is that if your house has several wi fi names for example one for your guest's. I find Roku as well as my off contract android phones like for you to occasionally switch to regain functionality. Even if the next name has a less strong signal, the devices seem to Wake up following this rotative switching

    something that i found irritating with my roku that just started happening with apps like Pluto TV and Tubi is, the apps stop running after a certain amount of time and the roku screen saver pops up. they used to continuously run until i closed the app but now they close automatically. any fix for this?

    The system restart is located in a slightly different area, but I found it. In doing the system restart though (essentially turning the tv off and back on) is pretty much what the problem has been lately. I'll be watching something and the system will restart itself. Just had it happen twice watching a program, both times at about the 10-15 minute mark in the show. Sadly, when I restarted the show it restarted from the beginning with no fast forward option available. )c: Nonetheless, did the restart and will try again now...

    can you solve the youtube crash bug? reset roku and restart roku. still just crashes on launch and brings me back to main screen.

      I have the same issue on two different Rokus. Stupid RUclips app crashes all the time. If I can even get to a video it will play for about a minute and then it will go back to the main menu for no reason. I don't use it for much else other than RUclips so this makes the device useless to me. I've been unable to find any solution. Just seems like a broken app they refuse to fix.

    None of these worked...but...I FIXED the motion stutter (after a year of trying)!!!! Don't know if this will work for you. I have a Sony Bravia TV. Went to SETTINGS/Picture/Cinemotion and the only HDMI that was on was for Roku. After setting it to OFF the video is no longer jerky!!!! Hope that helped.

    The only fix I found for the terrible RUclips app is to send the content from your notebook computer to your TV via Roku RUclips app. RUclips gives you the option to "send to mytv" . Works great for me.

    If you're not connected to the internet, the suggested "Watch Now" ad to the right of your apps will not display. No need to scour network menus.

    I FIXED Mine! It was stuck on the "dancing" roku screen and wouldn't boot. I tried pressing RESET button on rear of roku but no-fix. I unplugged for 15 minutes to see if COOLING DOWN helped... but NO FIX. Then I tried simply removing my micro-SD card, and the unit boots up now. Apparently when my software updated to the new version of Roku, it must have blanked out my SD card, or something like that happened. I put my micro sd card into my computer and it said it MUST BE FORMATTED before use. I reformatted it and roku is working ok now. Always try the easy things before PITCHING Roku in the trash.

    While watching a paid movie on Amazon it kept stopping and buffering, so I decided to turn it off and start again.
    Then Roku screen froze I kept disconnecting the power no such luck. I decided to change the batteries on the Roku control and that was my actual problem. It works perfect

    i have several rokus in the house. i just linked them all to youtube tv app. except 1. i even searched for youtube app and nothing comes up on that one. reboot and all. no youtube tv app in the streaming store on this roku (roku2). now that you know the problem, can you help?

    For three days I keep getting this sound demo and lots of motion ads across the top of the screen and bottom of the screen. There is a green screen saver box then the screen is split. I have a primitive remote so no buttons to press to exit these annoying issues. Any help?

    Browser working fine, modem brand new and tech check is working fine. Problem seems to be with the Roku stick itself. Tried plugging it into wall socket and still no change. Started and restarted over and over. Taken stick out put it back in. I can't even scroll the list to check anything on the Roku opening page. Yes I have changed the batteries three times to new batteries. Got any suggestions?

    i got a roku TV. i had to do a factory reset on the TV. youtube works again, but it loads a bit slow now. better than it not working i guess.

    No help. Still getting P-DEV320 error. Hulu support no help either. My Google WiFi mesh network is sporting over 200Mbps download, so that’s not it either. Help!

    my issue is that i have this roku tv, and i lost the remote so i have been using the app. everytime i turn on my tv the censor at the bottom keeps blinking white twice and whenever i try to connect my remote app to the tv, it just says wake device. i've restarted my phone, checked if the app needed updating, unplugged and turned on my tv again, nothing will work.
