Over my experience using the Roku players' RUclips App I have come across most issues you run into while using your player can be fixed with these six steps. Check your internet connection and then restart the system, uninstall and reinstall app, logout and log in, allow restricted videos, and reset app. In this video we go through the step by step on how to accomplish these goals.

I did all of these but whenever I press on RUclips it freezes and then restarts the Roku any suggestion please?

Yep, even updated RUclips Channel on Roku 1, Still NO Sign In.... Guess, I just watch more Roku Channel.

I tried your first two suggestions of unplugging/plugging the Roku streaming device and then completely removing the RUclips App and then adding it back. Voila! RUclips is now working perfectly. Thank you for your suggestions. Very helpful!
Well it doesn't make me feel a whole lot better but it's fairly nice to see others having the exact same problem as me with the RUclips app. Like others have mentioned, RUclips works fine on my older Roku in my bedroom but my newer Roku out in my living room just freezes when I click RUclips. I hope they get this fixed quickly. I have RUclips built into the TV but the TV is almost 5 years old. The UI on Roku is much nicer and faster.
I tried rebooting, removing the app, restarting to no avail, still won't load and bounces me back to the home screen. So I then try the screen size change and You Tube loads but the moment I try to use remote to select or go to search, bounces me right back to home. THIS REALLY STINKS!!! What is happening with Roku....should fix this issue!!

So I’ve got a question, would you still recommend trying these if (in my case) my roku tv RUclips app keeps closing out after a period of time, the tv itself doesn’t turn off the app just closes out and goes to my home screen, and I’ve tried your methods and idk if they work or not, any other suggestions?

That's what mine is doing. It a show YT for about 3 seconds, then TV screen goes black.

Doesn't change the dreadful rewind and fast forward options for the app though.

Thank you!!!! Vids weren't loading, they were just a blank loading page but preview images loaded on videos and signing out and then resetting within the app fixed it!! Whoop whoop ^^
Btw I am using roku tv not the plug in stick.

I got this message to cancel channels because not enough storage. Didnt work so frustrated. Then I did the first thing you said unplug and start my Roku. It worked my you tube is on. YEAH thank you so much

The ROKU 4230X that I used for many years stopped working and I had to get a new one. I purchased the ROKU Express 3960X. With the 3960X things on RUclips are added to my watch history even though I did not click on it to watch. If I don’t move the highlighted video quickly and it stays in one spot over just a few seconds, it is added to my history. My old one never did that. Is that standard procedure for the new ROKU? If it is, is there another device I can purchase to stream RUclips on my TV beside ROKU? I have tried removing my channel and re-installing it and viewed all settings on both the ROKU and RUclips and cannot stop this from happening. I don’t want things on my watch history if I didn’t click on it.
Thank you, problem solved. My problem was, my you tube was not connecting to the network so I just unplug it and plug it back in and it worked.
I never thought to unplug/replug my roku device. That fixed it immediately!

My RCA Roku TV has glitched the audio on our RUclips app. Tried reinstalling the app and it didn't work still :( the audio is just silent
Make sure MUTE button not activated on remote. Its very easy to click the button when operating the remote.
Finally, it seems to be fixed after I manually updated. Good luck ev1..I hope yours comes back after an update =) And that nuisance of an hourglass is gone too :D

i have an older roku HD that will not play youtube anymore. it starts to load then kicks me back to home screen. every single time! was working fine until a week ago. i have tried everything that has been suggested in the comments. but i still need help. youtube is the only one not working on my roku.

This has been happening with my older Roku as well
The only true fix is to chuck your older Roku box and purchase the latest Roku Express - $30/Walmart. Problem solved - RUclips will never go back to the home screen. The Express uses a different loading system.
I am not sure why does Roku 1 won't let me open the RUclips and sure enough, as soon as I opened up, loading the features, and it crash and went back to the Home Screen.

I went to the online Roku forum and found the suggestion of changing aspect ratio to 16:9 and voila!! RUclips is back. Apparently it's a temporary fix until Roku/RUclips fixes this problem.

That fixed it. Thanks. After I signed in to RUclips I was able to change the display back to 1080p and the Roku App still works, so you don't have to leave it on 16:9.

After doing all these steps, YT came in good for 1 day. Now it's out again. Think YT needs to fix these issues for us Roku users soon.

Continually restarting RUclips by disconnecting from the Internet is treating a symptom not fixing the problem. I have excellent Internet connections at all times, and RUclips will freeze or crash occasionally indicating it is disconnected from the Internet while all my other services on the Internet are working fine. This tends to happen after RUclips has been on for several hours and returning to local television stations for a few minutes allows Roku to reboot. I wonder what is the relationship between RUclips problems and Roku having to reboot?
The app updated on the 13th and every since I can't even log on to it as soon as I click it it's about to load into the interface and then it immediately crashes back to the Roku home screen

William Mclean mine was working less than a week ago but the past 3-4 days, it crashes and goes back to the home screen. Help!!
How can you tell the app updated? When I go to settings and check updates for my roku, it says it has the latest updates, which were Aug 21. Mine is 7.7.0 with build 4135. Every other app works except RUclips, which I use a LOt! Is there something wrong with MY roku?

Angela 7979 change aspect ratio to 16:9. That is the only thing that fixed mine.
I have it in the living room and in the bedroom... The one in the bedroom constantly crashes back to the Roku home screen----frustrating. I will try these fixes mentioned in the video and hopefully it will begin to work correctly.
When I'm on my home screen I can select Netflix and Disney+ and they work fine but when I try to select the RUclips app it makes the selection sound effect but does not open it. My RUclips app is up to date, I have turned if off and on, used other apps, and waited several hours already. Any suggestions?
Edit: I removed and re added the app on my tv but warning: this will remove all accounts and delete all watch and search history, resetting your recommended page.

Or...also...If the videos on the RUclips app aren't working or loading on your ROKU TV, go on the application (RUclips) --> go to Settings --> Reset app...Click it and it should fix any of the in-application errors and glitches...

Im having an issue and i dont know how to fix it. Last night we had a storm and i guess there was a power glitch? When i turned started up roku this morning i was signed out, so i logged in and tried to watch a video. But the video display was only in the top cornee of my screen and the rest is black screen. But when i go to scroll through the video everything that pops up is completely normal and in the right spot. Is there a way to fix this?

I used to load RUclips videos by pressing OK on my Roku remote. Recently (Feb 2020) RUclips added a menu that pops up when I press OK on my remote. The menu options are: play, not interested, save to watch later, save to playlist. If I highlight play and press OK on my remote, nothing happens. It just freezes. If I choose "save to watch later" and then try to play it, same thing, nothing. At first when this menu appeared it worked, but now (Feb 20, 2020) it doesn't. What's going on and how do I fix this situation?

So, whose fault is when RUclips videos only play for like 30 seconds, then crashes and goes back out to the Roku homepage? Is it RUclips or Roku's fault? I've complained to both, but nothing's happened. I've reset, uninstalled/reinstalled, unplugged the power, but nothing is correcting this problem. It's incredibly frustrating not to be able to watch what you click on!
All you have to do is remove app and re add it and unplug tv and plug it back in
Yeah I did the uninstall reinstall option that's kind of what I was thinking anyways and that worked thank you all the other options are something to keep in mind as well.
We have had our Roku maybe 6 months, I have tried all the bug fixers you suggested. Nothing helped. This just started about 2 or 3 days ago. RUclips won't load, ROKU will dance on the screen then 'no signal' will come on the screen. We watch RUclips more than anything. I have unplugged ROKU, I have deleted RUclips, and added it back. Checked all the settings, the are good. Please send help soon.

I have this issue where on my Roku tv, the youtube app works fine... but theres just a big white glare covering the whole youtbe video. you can still see the video but its all white around it. i dont know how to fix this and cant find anything online to help me... can you help me, How To Tech???
Just in case someone did one option instead of multiple. Here's what worked for me. I unplugged my roku device, waited about 10-15 seconds. Then I went and unadded the RUclips channel off my roku. Add it back on. Once I signed in my RUclips account, everything started working again. Highly recommend.
When I try to save a video to my library a gray bar appears at the bottom of the screen. In the center is a blue arrow in as circle, not quite closed. There a small white line at 5he top of the bar. I can't load the video to my library. I'm computer stupid. Can u please, please help me? I don't know how to add a screen shot. Thank you, maureen

Kumail Rizvi I did that and it didn’t work for me. I was sure that would fix the problem but it didn’t. I can play all videos on my iPad with no problems. Just on the tv I get audio with a black screen on some videos. Some play fine.
My RUclips will not load with Roku. I have tried Settings, Network, & Reset & is connected with excellent strength, I’ve tried Setting, System update, & system restart for You Tube & no help. Every time I try to open You Tube I get the page that that states You Tube live Tv with a choice of Try it free or Sign in. I am on an account that is being paid each month. I signed in numerous times to no avail. What is wrong and how can I correct this problem.? Please help..

I purchased a season of a tv show on RUclips on my desktop computer. It is important to note that I do not own a cell phone. When I turned on my tv and switched over to Roku. I clicked on RUclips, scrolled down to purchases, clicked on the show I just bought, but when I clicked on the first episode or any episode, it would not play. For whatever reason, the rook on my tv, did not recognize the purchase as having been completed. The item plays fine on my desktop computer, but not on Roku. I have to start the show on my desktop computer, then go to RUclips on my Roku, scroll down to history and play it from there. This does not happen with any of the other purchases, just this one title. It is the only tv series on my list. Everything else is movies.
My problem is the fact that it seems my youtube video is slightly zoomed in. It’s like the TV is slightly smaller than the video thinks it does, so the outer edges of the videos are unseeable. When I press the asterisk, not all the options are there. I don’t have a clue how to fix it
Despite, trying this method and other ways that i knew, i still have issues with my RUclips, it doesn't work and is seriously frozen. Any other ways you can suggest me to resolve this issue?

Same, that is what happened to me. It just started working. All I did was remove the app, restartef the Roku thing the way the video did it and then re-installed it. All I had to do was redo my WiFi password

My subscriptions and Library options have disappeared. Did all of these items several times before watching the app. None of them have helped. And cannot find RUclips Help Center or community on internet. Googling this issue brings up people that have the same problem but all the same answers as this video. I can login from the guest subscriptions and it will show my subscriptions but then I cannot go back to my homepage on RUclips.
RUclips on my Roku now just refuses to work! It tells me that RUclips can’t connect to the Internet when it’s CLEARLY on, and tells me to choose other options for troubleshooting! I’ve tried closing the app & opening it up again, I’ve tried uninstalling & reinstalling, I’ve tried restarting my Roku, I’ve tried unplugging my Roku & plugging it back in, and still nothing! When I open the app on my TV, I don’t see my channel icon, I don’t see the search options, I don’t even see the other options in the sidebar (such as history, settings, RUclips Movies & TV, etc.), and when I was trying to continue watching a video, all it gave me was “RUclips can’t connect to the Internet right now. Try these troubleshooting options.” My Internet is fine & my bills are already paid, my RUclips ran just fine several hours ago, so what the actual Goddamn fuck is RUclips’S excuse!? I’m pissed!

I unplugged it for 60 sec and plugged it back in, nodda… disabled network pings and rebooted my roku tv nodda… uninstalled RUclips and reinstalled it.. also nodda 😢 my Wi-Fi signal strength say excellent when I check it on my roku tv, but when I open RUclips it says no connection.. I was just using it last night.

When I try to reinstall RUclips it say Installation failed! Please help! My connection is fine and I already updated the tv. Every time I try to install it it says updating HBO NOW and then it says installing RUclips but, then it says installation failed could not install!
When I click mine it says can’t run channel RUclips could not be run because it could not be reinstalled from The net work please check your network connection and try again but when I check my network connection it says excellent and RUclips is the only thing that does not work
What abour the TLC roku just not playing audio on youtube and just youtube
Press the star button while watching something on RUclips. Mine was muted and i tried every other tip. Just randomly pressed the star button and bam got the sound back.
