Dude, my TCL TV stopped outputting sound from my PlayStation on the HDMI ports. ALL 3 OF THEM! Something I would do in the future is repeat something like (Home button 5 times Up arrow 1-time Rewind 2 times Fast forward 2 times) If someone had not put this in the comments I would have been trying to figure it out and getting way more frustrated than was needed. I'm an old Army Aviation maintenance officer and test pilot. Our aircraft troubleshooting guides were written using the KISS principle, so always started with checking the simplest, fastest and least costly things that could go wrong. In my case, the Roku power block had dislodged slightly due to a furniture move. It looked OK, but close inspection confirmed that the power light was out. Reseating the plug solved the problem.
I was having the blinking white light on the front of the set issue along with no internet connection and this was the only advice that I could find that resolved the problem. Thanks for taking the time to make the excellent video!

Step 1 worked to make my usb port read my external hard drive! It fixed a screen that came up where the media player app told me to put my external hard drive into a new format. I knew it was wrong and step 1 fixed it on the first try. Thank you!!
To anyone on here who has the same issue I have, my tv was on and plugged into a power strip, I turned off the power strip while the tv was on. I turned on the tv, everything was glitchy and pixelated (I was terrified I power surged my tv and broke it) but after doing the reboot it works fine. ...this actually worked! My Alexa Roku skill was giving me "Something Went Wrong" for every command, even asking "Alexa, TV on". I tried the reset thing using the cheat code and it worked. Had to slow down the playback to half speed because the guy talking in this video says it fast, as though it is the cure for cancer and bigPharma is out to get him!

Roku had the system sound but no sound on any streaming app. Reboot fixed it.

my problem My 2019 roku tv is that the added application are not starting/launching like prime video, youttube and netflix ..what should i do

...this actually worked! My Alexa Roku skill was giving me "Something Went Wrong" for every command, even asking "Alexa, TV on".
I tried the reset thing using the cheat code and it worked. Had to slow down the playback to half speed because the guy talking in this video says it fast, as though it is the cure for cancer and bigPharma is out to get him!
