    Gotta share that even though Wi-Fi was working fine across other devices, and I assumed my router was not the problem, I tried this method and it didn’t work, I repeatedly restarted roku, and only then did I restart my router (new house, had to contact roommate to find router) - and restarting the router finally fixed it. Just wanted to leave a comment encouraging people to TRY EVERY SINGLE STEP before giving up and buying new hardware!! Good luck everyone

      If you can access it, you can unplug it from power, leave it off for a minute, then plug it back in to power. If you can’t access it, GET ACCESS! :)

      Thank you, I followed all of the steps in this video with NO RESULTS, then I followed your suggestion of unplugging the router for 60 seconds and then replugging it and I connected without any problems.

    Thank u, was having issues with new modem. Wasn't connecting or dropping signal. Did exactly as you stated and no issues. Even the cable company and tcl roku tv couldn't fix the issue. I am a happy camper. New subscriber.

    I tried it twice and it didn't work for me. 😔 It's extremely strange, because the tv in my children's room is still connecting with no issues whatsoever, but the one in our living room isn't. We were just watching it a week ago!

      It didn't work for me either I think us people that this didn't work for we must be having hardware issues not software issues as something is fried inside of it

    Awesome!! I was almost discouraged because I actually had to unplug/restart my Roku a second time AFTER attempting to connect after completing the steps from this video.. so if it doesn’t work or freezes up like mine.. just unplug for about 20 seconds, plug back up, once it cycles back on it was already connected to my hotspot and I was able to use the Roku immediately!! Thanks! U guys rock💯😎🤩

    Just tried this and it worked for us! The system restart wasn't in our Settings menu, but just performing the steps before that was sufficient. Thanks!

      I see a lot bad reviews from Meijer and Walmart. It seems that I t doesn’t work after 2 months. Even the WiFi.. should I get it?

      S0l0_X I’ve bought 2 of these. My first one is for my room and it’s lasted me about 3 years now. The 2nd one I bought for my brother for his birthday 2 years ago and his still works great. For the price they’re really good TVs. My living room 65’’ sony tv was 1999 bucks before taxes and my bedroom 55” tcl tv was like 400 bucks. So worth it for the price.

      Vainy Vic thx for the tip. I trust my guts and bought one for my college. I’m going honestly put it in my pc screen and watch movies in there. Since I do have a 50 in tv outside our dorm. Since we have to be 6ft feet apart but this will work great In my room.

    It worked!!!! Just a tip everyone, someone of the setting options may be different depending on your model . I can confirm that this worked but 2 of the steps weren’t an exact match for my 2018 65 inch TCL Roku TV . The menu buttons were located in different places. But thanks again!

      @@meezymeezy what you can do too is disconnect the charging cord and connect it again that’ll reset it and wait like five minutes when it turns on.

    Hello studio 6060. Thanks for posting this video! This video has saved my life! My Roku TV lost its Internet connection ability. My kids were a little sad because they like to watch educational videos in RUclips and Netflix. I was trying and trying to fix it in my own with no success. But I found this video.     Omg you are a life saver. I called Roku support and they said it was a problem with my internet. Called my internet provider they said it was a problem with the router I was using. I thought it didn’t make sense so I decided to RUclips it. This worked really well! Thank you so much!😊

    I didn't think it worked but did it again pushing the buttons faster and it did work. The last screen looked different and I thought I didn't have the option I was looking for but just had to scroll up. It did work for me. Thank you for the secret access.
    Guess they want you to think you have to buy a new one.

    OMG...YAASSSSS!!!!! I was about to go out and buy a new megabucks router because I thought that was the issue...and then I thought...let me consult the answer to everything...RUclips first. Your video popped up first, and I liked that it said "Fix it NOW!" and my daughter and I both laughed and said we have to watch that one! Because we've been at this for the longest time. Switching out HDMI cables and ports, restarting everything 100 times, even relocating the cable modem and router and all the wiring several times (trying to get closer to the Roku) all to no avail. There truly was no other option but to try a new router (admittedly mine is pretty old). But...your solution worked beautifully! We both love you and think you are a genius! And we like how you say "short video". A little New Englandish sounding accent there! Anyway, thank you so much for taking the time to put this together to save us all!

    I was so excited when I read some of the comments bc I thought for sure this is the fix... But it's not, at least not for me.
    I've rebooted my internet router, twice. I've restarted tv several times. It's still not connecting. It's def not an internet issue bc I have 3 other Roku TVs and they're all working properly. The one I'm having an issue with is a Hisense 65" ...

    Thanks, I was truly stumped as to how to fix my issue with the roku tv. I did try the system reboot first which did nothing and then disable network ping and that immediately fixed the problem.

      I tried this I don't know I'm not good at the sequence things but I tried it and I couldn't get it to work I followed it I wrote it down and it goes right to the settings network that's as far as I can get it doesn't take me to the Roku systems app I don't know what I'm doing wrong it doesn't seem that hard to do but I just can't get it to work on my Roku

    Works like a charm! Try the secret screen combo a few times if it doesn't work at first... hit that home button 5 times pretty quickly :) Also fixed a weird audio issue I was having. Thanks!

    Rokus worked fine until I recently got a new router and started having issues on several of my Rokus. Either wouldn’t connect on boot or would connect and disconnect randomly in the first few minutes of operation. Was thinking the new router was the problem, and actually arranged to return it to Amazon, but this fixed them all!

    Ready to throw the tv in the road before finding this. Worked for my Roku in Jan 2022 that just randomly decided to stop connecting. Steps are a little different as firmware has been updated since this video but it's mostly the same and easy to follow.

      I did it two times the first time I did it and reset and it didn’t work and the second time I did it I didn’t restart it and I also noticed something about network pairings was disabled when I went to that screen so I enabled it and I went back to networks and it worked for me!
