My roku was having some serious problems not being able to connect to the internet, I was trying to fix it for days. Today I decided to try something else. I unplugged my roku and took it to a tv that was closer to my WiFi router. On that tv closer to my WiFi router, I reconnected to the internet just fine, then unplugged the roku and took it back to my other tv that was further away from the router. The connection to the internet maintained stability and the problem was FIXED!
The SECOND METHOD:
I went ahead and showed a second method to fix the problem and that is to
press the
“home” icon - 5 times
“Forward” button - 1 time
“Play” button - 1 time
“Rewind” - 1 time
“Play” button - 1 time
“Forward” button - 1 time
A menu will be brought up, click “system operations menu, click “disable network pings” and switch it to “enable network pings”, then click “system reboot”.

Thank you for this. It worked! Our Rokus have been dropping like flies. We were down to only 1 working and it was 2 feet away from the router. Extremely frustrating that you can buy 4 Rokus but it'll take you hours and hours of research and anger to fix them when they decide to quit.

Thank you for this video. I moved my Roku stick to the tv that was closer to the router and sure enough it picked up a wifi signal and is now working!

joel mercado try changing your hotspot password and then connecting it to the now tv stick worked for me.

My TV remote app is connected to the same WiFi network and it has worked before but now it isn't and even though I'm watching these videos, I still don't know what to do bc the app just won't load

Take it back if it's not too late, I did , but the TV was so light it got knocked over by the kids and ended up broken again

One of my Roku TV's never connects to the WIFI until I go to Settings/System/Software Update
and then set up the connection again. I have to do this every time I turn the TV on..
It is next to an Amazon Alexa that never has any trouble connecting to the WIFI.
What could be causing this problem ??

ROKU is junk as far as I am concerned. Even when I did have it working it was slow as sh*t! Menus slow and then the remote wouldn't register every button push even 2 inches away from the POS!

This is the worst, I bought this tv for my dorm and I had to buy three different routers to set it up. This thing sucks at connecting to the internet and is a waste of money. I did everything in this video and more but my internet still won’t connect. Into the trash it goes😔

Don’t get a Roku after 5 days it worked fine then one day for no reason it wouldn’t connect to my internet WiFi but it would connect to my hot spot from my phone 📱 every time & it connects to any of my friends WiFi but it refuses to connect to my home Wi-Fi anymore like I said it worked on my home WiFi for about 5 days now it just stoped ....I did all the tricks that I’ve seen on RUclips turning on pings Wi-Fi pings nothing no luck this thing is a bunch of crap I would suggest getting a different company brand

Yes. Roku is junk. Bought 3 of them until I finally gave up on roku.

This is the only thing that fixed it for me, from the secret wireless menu I tried Radios settings. There I changed to TX: 2 RX: 1. Ok after that.

When I get to the System Operations Menu I only see

System suspend
Network menu
Display menu
Audio menu
Cancel

My issue is that my dog ate my remote. After I purchased a new remote the Roku stick+ wouldn’t pair with the new remote and I couldn’t get past the second screen that shows pairing with a .03 in it. I then tried to download the remote app onto my phone (and the app actually found the device) but after selecting it I then received the error of “check to see if your roku device is plugged in and on the network”. Any help is appreciated....
