    The way around this issue is to reinstall the RUclips app... If it wont allow you than you need to reset your network settings. I use this method as my last resort and it has always worked for me.

    My smart tv has been having an issue establishing wifi connection for the past few weeks. I would reset the network settings and that would usually fix the issue but I just tried solution no.3 Refreshing DNS settings and it worked instantly. thanks!

    Thank you for this video.
    Initially my tv wouldn't even locate the networks at all. After resetting router nothing changed. After unplugging my tv for about 30 minutes, it displayed local networks again. I attempted to connect but had no success. I changed DNS settings to both variations, did not work. I turned on my mobile hotspot and it connected. I tested it and streamed a movie for a few minutes, worked fine. Turned off hotspot, attempted to connect to local network again and it worked. Not sure why or how but thanks again. You helped me none the less.

    I tried your 1st solution by unplugging the TV and router for about 15 minutes and it connected to the network as normal.

      This helped me too. While the TV is on, i unplugged the cord of TV and internet. After 15 minutes, turned on the TV and router. Waited 5 minutes. Went to network, network settings, wireless, ip address - obtain IP automatically and it worked!

    I tried everything on video which is the same as calling Samsung customer service and STILL not working. My TV is less than a year old and only recently got internet and now this, smdh....Note to self...DO NOT buy anoher Samsung smart TV. Never had an issue with the other smart TVs only this brand. Samsung sucks.

      1. Goto router settings page. Then change router band 2.4 or 5ghz.
      2. Select one by one and check the internet.
      3. If not work then reset network connection and manually enter ip & password
      4. Change dns settings as 8.8.8.8
      5. If not work then Reboot all devices and then try again

    Hi,
    My problem is that I have a new Samsung tv, it connects to wifi, I can watch Netflix, it is not connected to cable tv it is a bedroom tv only for RUclips and Netflix, however it will not connect to you tube or any other app apart from Netflix . It says error, that is all, I check wifi and there is no problem. Just to be clear I have never been able to use any other function but Netflix on this tv, it is a 5 series 32” please don’t ask me about routers or anything like that, I will not understand . I see an error message that mentions smart hub but I do not know what that is. Hope you can help. Thanks, Mike.

      This is happening due weak internet connection issue.
      However your can apply below method:
      1. Keep your router and tv in the room or use wifi extension in your room.
      2. Update smart hub of samsung tv.
      3. Update Netflix app and others if required.
      4. If any difficulties then unplug power cable of tv for 5 minutes.
      Now recheck the issues if same problem then let me inform.

    Well unplugging it works for me, holding the power button on the remote down for the seconds also works for me, and resetting the TV also works, but no matter what I do everytime I turn the TV off and then back on again it won't connect to the internet and I have to do the unplug trick or the remote power button trick, or reset TV trick. Holding down the power button on the remote for three seconds after I return the TV on is the quickest option. Do you have any idea why the TV doesn't connect to WiFi when I turn it on?

      generally all TV have the same problem due to IP conflict with other devices. so please set a reservation IP for the TV from Router settings. and hopefully this will solve the problem permanently. and keep close your TV and router is a same place.

    Factory reset

    I’m desperate at this point to make my tv connect to the internet again. I tried everything and came down to resetting the tv to factory settings which I did and it still won’t connect and now I’ve lost all my apps. It will connect to my hotspot and that’s it and it won’t even let me redownload my apps it says “the function is currently not supported” when I try. Please help! Any solutions?

      Set ip & password manually
      For app download
      1. Change country and time and date
      2. Check third party app permission
      3. Sign in App Store
      4. And download all apps as before.

      FIX NETFLIX I have tried that and still nothing, the apps came back but when I try to click on them it’s stuck in “smart hub is updating. Please try again later”. And now it keeps disconnecting from my hotspot and changes my IP, subnet and dns to all 0’s. Think it’s broken lol

    What if my TV connects for like...2 mins then craps our? Same for my PS4 attached to said TV. It works for a minute then stops. It’s not the connection itself :/

      Dear Tewabech, thanks for your interest. There are several issues for not playing videos. Can you are using chrome/ any cast devices or not.
      However you can apply below methods.
      1. Disconnect all devices & cables from your tv
      2. Remove the power cable from electric source of tv & router and hold tv power button for 10 seconds
      3. Plug in power cable of tv & router after 10 minutes later
      4. If the problem persists then resettings the network settings
      5. If that doesn’t work then reset to factory settings.
      Now recheck your TV and inform with our members is this helpful or not. So our friends can identify their problems.

      Unplug power cable of tv and router for 3 minutes.
      Use new router like wifi 5 or wifi 6 technology duel band router.
      Set 5 ghz band on the router.
      If not work then reset the router and reconnect with tv.
      And ensure the connection strength.

      Try to use duel band router. Coz Smart tv required 5 ghz band for streaming video.

      Check and adjust the tv time date settings .
      And change dns settings to google dns settings.
      8.8.8.8

    so my netflix opens, youtube, etc.. everything opens besides Internet it self. I cant search nothing and the wifi is connected, what i have to do?

    My tv shows connected with the network but apps dont work. Tried everything and I was advice to take to the repair shop by the samsung support team.

      Check your router band 2.4 ghz or 5ghz
      Set Router channel 11
      Enter password and IP address manually.

      I just moved and I'm having the same issue. It says the internet is connected and when choosing an app it says I have no internet connection :| And the internet works fine on my other devices such as my phone.
      I tried both DNS numbers and also tried manually entering IP and such. It's still not working and I don't have a computer to see if it's a firmware. I'm also trying to avoid the factory reset. Any other suggestions besides what was in the video?

    Mine is connected and sort of works but is extremely slow. I mean Netflix on lowest quality and even stops to buffer constantly. Has gotten worse over time. Devices in the same Wi-Fi network work fine and the connection is quick.
    Any ideas?

      Please change DNS settings to 8.8.8.8
      And keep closely tv & router.
      Remove all external cables from tv.
      And set reservation IP for the smart TV.

      Kindly retry as below
      1. Disconnect all devices and cables from tv
      2. Unplug the power cable from electric source of tv and router. And hold power button for 10 seconds
      3. Plug in power cable and 10 minutes later
      4. Now recheck the issues if same problem the change the DNS settings as 8.8.8. And 8.8.4.4
      Hopefully this will solve your problem. Kindly apply and reply back the results. We will send alternative solution to you.

    I tried the thing with the mobile hotspot and it worked so I'm pretty sure the issue is that the MAC address of my tv has been blocked. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm trying to watch tutorials but they're a bit confusing. Any help is appreciated! :)
