great video, next question , if i want to land and then head off to next destination. is there a way to load new flight plan into msfs so atc follow it again?
Hello and thank you. I'm pretty sure you have to start from the world menu again since the ingame ATC gets data from the flightplan you load in there. Thank you for watching 😊
TNX for sharing But every time I call the ATC, it starts at the top line and I have to scroll down all the time. In P3D, the ATC started at the last conversation. Scrolling down all the time is getting pretty annoying. Can this be fixed in MSFS?
Thanks for the info. I just have one question. Whenever I choose the gate like you showed the flight plan always changes the departure runway and I can't change it back to the correct one, and ATC gives clearance for the incorrect runway. Any idea on how to fix?
Oh man. It has been so long since I used this so I hardly remember how it works. But it's strange. If you have generated your FP in simbrief and load it in the MSFS the ATC should choose the correct runway. One thing you can try is to start first with going to world map and just choose the airport you want to depart from as if you were starting your flight from the runway. That way you will know which departure runway MSFS uses for that airport and you can set that runway as departure in simbrief. Hope this helps mate 😊
@@BroncoAviation no problem, I ended up figuring it out. Right beside the menu where I select the gate there's a "departure" option where I was able to select the runway. Thanks.
Thank you so much man , sometimes I don’t feel like flying on vatsim so I fly with the default atc but I had a problem that it wouldnt give me the right runway to takeoff or right runway to land so this reallly helped me out. I appreciate your hard work bro stay safe. 🤍
Thank you for a very helpful video! I am learning to program my FP in the FMC which is fun but have heard horror stories of ridiculous ATC instructions during IFR flights. How do i import my flight into MSFS to get the correctly synced ATC but also be able to program the FMC? Does one cancel out the other or can i re file the FP after setting up the aircraft? Looking for a bit of clarity if anyone can help me out. I want default ATC working correctly with my imported or programmed flight plan without the weird instructions everyone reports!
The only way to get somewhat correct ATC instructions is to choose your SID and STAR on the world map menu. There is where the ingame ATC gets It's information. If you change your plan from world map menu in the FMC, then you are gonna have very weird instructions. So the SIDS and STARS has to be the same in world map and the FMC. But still there is no guarantee that it's gonna work properly. MSFS ATC is quite poor and bugs out very often. I would recommend VATSIM for real ATC or If you don't like talking yourself there is a very promising ATC software coming out in couple of weeks called Beyond ATC. You should check it out 😊
@BroncoAviation Thanks for your reply! That makes sense, I have heard of Beyond ATC and it looks great from what little I have seen. I only seem to get the SID and STAR options when I import from Simbrief and select them there. I see them in LittleNavMap and can select them there but I don't think that ATC works correctly with the LNM exported flight plan. I will do some more testing and see what happens. I am a little confused as to how I can get the exact same flightplan into the FMC from the world map as I think a lot of things are not present. I know I can import a flightplan from simbrief right into the FMC but I like the idea of building my own plan after planning it in LNM or Navigraph Charts. VATSIM not really an option at present but I have been recommended Pilot2ATC. Anyway thanks again I have some testing to do!
Was hoping you would go further and load the SimBrief flight plan into the EFB and thence to the MCDU. FBW documents says NOT to use the MSFS world map as it prevents importing the OPF from SimBrief into the MCDU. Was hoping you would show that it can be done now.
@@BroncoAviation Thanks for responding, Bronco. Very kind of you. In the A320(FBW) EFB settings, under Sim Options, there is a option: Sync MSFS Flight Plan with choices "None", "Load Only" and "Save". I'll try to look them up in the FBW documentation, but I am wondering if they have any effect on how it would work. Any ideas much appreciated.
Hello again. Sorry for a bit late respond, life got in the way :). Regarding the sync I really don´t know how that works mainly because I´m not using ingame ATC anymore. Since I switched to Vatsim network I just cannot go back. Hope you can figure out what works best. Thank you for your support and happy flying mate :)
@@BroncoAviationUnderstood. I tried the other day, but could not get it to work. So, I just use the ground control and tower to taxi and take-off, and let it go at that. Thanks much!
Are you sure that is necessary? I never imported the flight plans into MSFS but ATC works regardless, they direct me to the correct waypoints from the flightplan in the FMC.
It is necessary if you want to use Simbrief flightplan. If you only generate the flightplan and do not import to Word map, there will be no option to get the IFR clearence from the ATC after initial start up of the aircraft.
@@BroncoAviation It works for me without doing that. But depending on the airport, the "Request IFR clearance" is often hidden in some specific ground frequency for reasons i don't know. But I can always request it as long as I have imported the simbrief FP into the EFB and FMS.
Hello my friend, if I could help thank you. I have a problem, I changed my video card last week and since then I haven't been able to fly anymore. Flight Simulator crashes and freezes and exits the game in a few minutes, very low fps, just like Battlefield 2042 when I put the Nvidia game filter I noticed that. I'm testing other non-Steam games and it runs smoothly like DCS Simulator. I have already installed the MFS several times, the STEAM too, I have re-armed the pc in case of bad fit but nothing works. If I had any advice I would appreciate it, thank you!! Current PC Specification: i9 11900k RTX 4070 Ti 32GB Ram M.2 2TB
Hello mate. To be honest I'm not a expert but have you tried to do a clean install of your graphic driver? Sim should run very smooth with your monster setup.
I noticed when you imported the flight plan into MSFS from your PC, there appeared to be an option to import from XBOX cloud? Do you know if SimBrief flight plans be imported onto an XBOX?
To be honest I'm totally clueless if Simbrief works with Xbox. Since I'm on PC I'm totally off the loop regarding which features are avalaible on Xbox. Sorry that I couldn't help you. 😊
The problem is that when you generate the flight plan file it does not have the SID and STAR hence when you upload into MSFS it sometimes generates random SID and STAR not the same that you had in original SIMBRIEF flight plan.
@@BroncoAviation You need to verify the star then select the approach you want(ils and runway or rnav and runway etc.) on the world map.
