I recommend HSC Voice Pack with Voice Attack, as long as you have you mic you can simply say “ATC option 1”, “acknowledge” “Open ATC” all the ATC commands, perfect for hands free communication especially if your in VR
I believe left hand traffic pattern would be making all left turns around the airport runway. According to google: "All the turns there are in standard air traffic patterns, are usually done as the left turns because the left-hand traffic pattern is the most common one." Because there was another runway to the right, that turn would be opposite way (right traffic pattern) to avoid collisions. Technically I think the pattern you did was more correct even though you were making right hand turns. I'm enjoying these videos very much and is helping me out with my FS2020.
Just a note, I could be wrong but atc told you left downwind for 27. Doesn't that mean that your pattern is left turns? You were downwind with the runway to your right.
Yes a left hand pattern means turns all to the left. But the ATC call seems incorrect because, if you think about it your departure was 27R. So left hand crosswind and base-leg would have taken you right across 27L departing and arriving aircraft flight paths.
While I have followed the ATC tutorial and have understood the essentials I am not getting ATC audio. I have the Xbox X series and a Standard edition of MSFS.Appreciate please guide.
ID just wish there was away to measure distances between check points IE 5 10 15 20 25 like on a paper chart so I just choose check points that seem to be close or if one can do that in Nav map and oh would a bigger monitor would make the G1000 more clear since I don't use VR. Thank You
They are basically saying you have the information supplied. See this video for further information & clarity: ruclips.net/video/YbgGNCrYgx8/видео.html
It's the code word that you receive when listening to the ATIS information. It lets the air traffic controller know that you've listened to the info and taken it on board.
I have a question if maybe anyone can explain.... If one has msfs 2020 downloaded on xbox. can one go on without cloud and still play it on pc. and use it that way or do you have to pay again on pc to get the addons and mods etc that one gets if they just bought it on pc? thankx💜☕
I believe if you own the Microsoft Store version of MSFS, you can play MSFS interchangeably on both PC & Xbox. Anything brought through the MSFS Marketplace will also be available for both versions. flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402318233874-Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-Xbox-FAQ#:~:text=Yes%2C%20if%20you%20have%20the,world%2C%20content%2C%20and%20services.
Oh dear, not one of your best. Might have been better to fly from/to a smaller airport and turn off live traffice (an unneccesary distraction). Otherwise , quite informative. One small point: you can remove your previous flight tracks within LNM by pressing one of the buttons in the menu bar.
Hi Chris, I generally like to fly in multiplayer (especially at busy airports like Heathrow) as I feel it adds more immersion; regardless of questionable piloting by others. ATC certainly needs a bit of spit and polish ;)
It's been a few years but this ATC bit is comming back to me now and now that me sim is more stable now almost ready to go for a cross country flight somewhere and note been using Your flights in Africa to get used to using online maps since paper charts are more or less museum bits now but in Canada We have actual paper charts still :)
Thanks again. Enjoying learning this stuff and your pace is bang on for newbies.
Thanks for the feedback, it's very valuable to me.
I followed along with my flight simulator and it was EXTREMELY helpful. Thank you
You are doing such great things for the community with all of these videos! Thank you.
I'm humbled; much appreciated :)

Excellent tip Tony 👍

Yes, I've also learned that left turn traffic patterns are most widely used. Great input 👍
This msfs newbie thanks you for posting such clear and helpful video! I look forward to subscribing and gaining competency! Cheers
Thanks Steve, welcome aboard and I hope I can further help you along your simming journey.
Hudds ... Just got a message about MSFS 2024. Hard to imagine how it can be improved
I just watched the trailer - looks quite incredible!
SimHanger has a RUclips up on it. Not watched it yet.
@@CanaryIrish Just uploading my own^^
Thanks for the great content! I learned a lot from this video and will watch your other vids. Subbed :D
Thank you, that is highly appreciated :)

Good point & you could well be correct.

Great presentation. Thanks
Most welcome Jake.
Hi, are you still using the DelanClip for headtracking? Saw your video on it
Every now and again - it's fantastic with some aircraft.

Check that you have ATC voices on in Assistance options & that your volume levels are turned up in General options.

After setting up way points in LittleNavmap, the leg distances are shown in NM on the course between each
@@chrisvowell2890 so one can adjust the distances then to make them as equal as possible that sounds good.
Newbie question... Why does ATC end statement with, "You have India/Alpha/Bravo/etc"?
They are basically saying you have the information supplied. See this video for further information & clarity: ruclips.net/video/YbgGNCrYgx8/видео.html
Perfeito.
I'm starting to love your comments 😀
What does the "with India" part mean? Doesn't that have to do with how recent your info is or something?

Addendum: as others have stated the basic MSFS ATC is a mess. With Vatsim you get the correct calls (i.e, when in UK airspace, 'pass your message'!)

It's slightly better than the FSX days.

I love paper charts = feel more 'real' ;)
