Hello everyone, hope you like this video. I tried a few things to improve the audio since some people have been saying my video's audio hasn't been the best in the past. Let me know if I'm on the right track.
Let me know your favorite regiment and any suggestions for future vids
How is this comment 1 hour ago
what about the vahallan legion?
Elysian Drop Troops or Tempestus Scions. Love my flyboys.
The Shape's Rifles novels were adapted into a show by the same name staring Sean Bean. It's probably his only role where he doesn't die, unless that happens at the end.
How about the Mordian Iron Guard?
I love the running joke that every regiment is the best regiment. It's certainly how books or fans of those regiments tend to describe them
Every regiment is close to being one of the best because you don't write books about Hoggath's 213th regiment which specializes in shotgunning beers and not fighting
Haha ya, every regiment is the best in their fans eyes.
Also lore wise almost any guard regiment that’s notable enough to have lore is at least the like top 95th percentile of regiments I’d say
Thanks for watching!
@@KrakDuk That's part of why I really like the Mordant Acid Dogs (frequently confused with the Savlar Chem Dogs). They're a named regiment, but they're pretty much just a bunch of traumatised cave goblins with the dubious honour of having the ugliest commanding officer humanity has ever produced. (Colonel Bane!)
One of the best, if not THE best Guard Regiments in the entire Galaxy!
Legit my favorite bits in these vids
@@ICantThinkOfAFunnyHandle I just want you to know that your comment brings me great joy. Glory to Hoggath!
“KrakDuk is one of-IF NOT THE-best semi-animated 40k lore/discussion channels on RUclips!”
He’s like the more sane counterpart of Paul is bad at stuff
Why is this in quotations lol
You little copycat XD
Ah thank you, I appreciate it! Glad you like the cuannel
@@KrakDukuh acktually its channel-redditor sent into sun
"...and plot armor that would make an Ultramarine blush."
I mean you're not wrong, but it makes for very fun stories
Oh ya I totally agree. Plot armor is completely fine with me as long as it leads to a good narrative.
Realism hardly ever translates to the best narrative paths imo.
Thanks for watching!
I like the idea in lore every guardsman regiment is called the best not because they love stroking their egos but cuz they are constantly one upping each other higher command doesnt know who to name the best
Lmao ya, its a pretty good way to make everyone's dudes feel justifiably special. Plus any regiument notable enough to get stories is likely at least in the 95th percentile of guard badassess.
Thanks for watching!
Did you know that, after rebuilding Tanith with the act of colonization, Ibram went on to invent the Tyranid Hormagaunts
Lmao, did he also invent the termagaunts? Perhaps he had help from Arkhan Gaunt. Thank you for watching!
@@KrakDuk good question but no, they were invented by Jon Termag, he called them his ants. That's why their name is Termagants and doesn't end in gaunt
Ps, love your doodles
Termagant, as far as I know, is just an old term for an unpleasant, aggressive woman, or a "broad with beef", if you will.
@@LeofilmpersonDark Age Karen.
Fun fact: The Tallarn Desert Raider fought the Eldar of the Biel-Tan craftworld (correct me if I am wrong), but in the middle of the conflict due to the appearance of the Iron Warrior Choas Marine, the two side stepped into a truce and fought side by side against the new comer. And at the end of the war, both side gained respect for each other with some fighters even became war friends as they taught the other 's their perspectives of warfare.
What I love about Armageddon is the "The current situation is dire, retreat and regroup at the second fall back line (from totally of ten), save your life to fight another day". They have strong will to lives and are not ashamed to retreat which is the reason why Armageddon (almost) never fall.
Elysian drop troops or penal regiments. GW needs to bring back Penal troop rules. I mean, who would not want a squad of Last Chancers?
Yes! I love the penal legions, the old models were so cool and fun. I have 3 of them, but never snagged a full set.
Thanks for watching
@KrakDuk no worries, keep making awesome videos and I for sure will keep watching. Also, how about the Savlar Chem dogs? They are close to a penal legion
In the original penal legion rules if they routed you could detonate a bomb collar and kill one and they rallied automatically
@101Mant yeah, that was awesome rule. Back in the older codexs the imperial guard was always losing moral and breaking, but with that rule and a commissar you could keep your troops point in the right direction.
Also worth noting is that the Tanith Cloaks fit a lot of the same niches as the medieval Scottish great kilt, ie warmth, camouflage, protection from elements, even using as a hammock
Angry Scottman who are too angry to die, them and Gaut's Ghost.
One of the best, if not THE BEST WH40K video on entire RUclips!
Thank you! Glad you liked the video!
If Yarrick hadn't been killed by Angry Man I would have hoped to see him and Ghazghkull continue their secret love interest. I hope Ghaz krumps Angron for killing his boy.
Also while we are on the subject of humies and orkz teaming up one "guard" "regiment" you could talk about would be the Diggers.
Oh Humie-Ork Great WAAAAAGH? That's sounds epic.
Oh ya the diggers would be a funny thing to cover, I think I might do a video like 5 of the goofiest 40k things or something. Diggers will def make the cut
Thanks for watching!
I used to collect steel legion and mujahi...tallarn raiders, and catachan. Imperial guard used to have the best range of models
Tallarn also get inspiration from the first formed SAS which did pretty much all you described as well. Most of their influences are ofc Arab Revolt as well.
Ya theres alot of guerilla fighters, didn't want to cover them all. It is pretty fascinating though. Thanks for watching!
@@KrakDukthank you for the awesome content. Found your channel randomly and love your style. Gotta say painting with you on the background is a blast.
Great video as always
Another cool thing about the Tallarn Desert Raiders that connects them to Middle Eastern culture that their marksmen make use of the Mars pattern lasgun, which can resemblance the Afghan Jezail rifle
Thanks alot!
Ya when writing this I misremembered the old metal models having the Mars patter lasguns so originally the script mentioned Jezzails. Then I saw the models actually had the more standard galaxy pattern (I think?), But I musta gaslit myself into thinking they didnt use them at all either in lore or models, thanks for pointing that out.
Give some love to the Valhallans, give Jurgen some love…
That reeks a little bit fishy!🤪🤪🤣
Yes sir, I will most likely cover them in the next or second to next regiment video.
I also plan to cover commissar Cain sometime soon.
Thank you for watching!
Leading an evacuation only to be its colonel as well as commissar? Now that’s soldiering
For real, the named commissars of 40k are pretty badass
@@KrakDuk *Arbitrary comment about the Valhallan 597 and Cain*
I'd say there's a good amount of Soviet Union - Russian (Latter in particular) for the Steel Legion in that their overall strategy and organization (whilst still Panzegrenadier in nature ) is heavily similar to certain Cold War USSR Guards Divisions who took great lessons and training in what they were as primarily mechanized divisions with good armor and artillery support whilst still having a well trained infantry complement. They have a similar number and again when it comes to unit organization and how each of their units incorporates each and every asset it can through finagling and politicking (While other Regiments are more restricted in comparison) also to somewhat of a stretch it all stems from how the Chimera is very much similar to the BMP-2 (Especially in how the SL prefer the ones that have Hunter-Killer ATGM's, mounted similarly in most depictions much like the BMP-2's Kornet.)
There's also the fact in how all wars of Armageddon (the third war especially) played out very similar to the various marches into Russia by Western nations. The third war of Armageddon is quite literally a reference to Operation Barbarossa of WW2 with the Steel Legion taking the Soviet role of the war. Not to mention there were parts where when the Orks entered Armageddon Hives there were literal Stalingrad moments where freshly made vehicles were being pumped out and fighting within minutes of their completion, there were even fights inside factories that involved artillery use and Legionnaires entering half finished vehicles to use against the Orks.
A couple things mentioning too that isn't related to the Soviet/Cold war bit is that Armageddon is considered very friendly to Abhumans. There was also a Colonel who detected that there was going to be a rebellion on a relatively backwater but still developed Agri-world of Cassel in the form of a religious revolt, he deployed his Steel Legion there and right when the Heretical Cardinal declared for a crusade the Colonel quickly acted and within 6 hours the rebellion had been defeated.
Their uniform resemble radioactive uniforms due to the leathery and covered nature which is peak cold war aesthetic and their beige/khaki uniform with green helmet is really similar to the soviet ww2 uniform. Their chimera is based of soviet BMP and there are lots of legionnaires that have Russian names (Kurov, Andrej, etc.). Soviets in late ww2 and cold war where extremely mechanized and had an industry rivaling the Americans. They also were obsessed with tanks just like the steel legion. war for armaggedon also resemble the war for Stalingrad.
I recently received a package from my mom containing my old metal figure steel legion and scions :). Always my favorites.
Oh sweet! I love the old metal models, I recently bought some old stormtroopers I’m excited to get them to paint
Fucking steel legion That's what I have been I'm waiting for
Superb video! Would highly recommend listening to the audiobook versions of the Gaunt's Ghosts books, Toby Longworth does an amazing job at narrating and voicing our wonderful bunch of miscreants. He gives them Scottish/Welsh/Irish voices depending on what part of the planet they come from, it's pretty cool!
Thanks for the reccomendation! Ill check it out, rn im listening to Infinite and Divine to freshen up on some of the details for a vid. Love when the narrators are good at accent work.
Also, Steel Legion could be possibly based of Soviets in late ww2 and cold war due to their uniform resembling radioactive uniforms due to the leathery and covered nature which is peak cold war aesthetic and their beige/khaki uniform with green helmet is really similar to the soviet ww2 uniform. The chimera is based of soviet BMP and there are lots of legionnaires that have Russian names (Kurov, Andrej, etc.). Soviets in late ww2 and cold war where extremely mechanized and had an industry on par with the Americans (late ww2 and cold war). They also were obsessed with tanks just like the steel legion. war for armaggedon also resemble the war for Stalingrad due to tanks being produced in factories while battles occurred there for example. So they could be based on both ww2 Germans and cold war soviets.
While Sharpe is Hornblower on land, one of the more major influences was another CS Forester book named 'Death to the French' which is about a rifleman of the 95th dealing with the French in an appropriate manner.
Oil up KrakDuk, I'll be there in 5.
🤣🤣
Cover the Goff legion. They wear black and checkered pattern clothes and stuff, then they run up and hit stuff with a choppa.
Ya making a video on ork Klans would be pretty fun to do! Thanks for watching!
Can I request the Mordian Iron Guard, Valhallans and Savlar Chemdogs for the next one?
Yes, I definitely plan to cover all three of those fellas sometime down the line. I think the next video will either be Valhallans, Vostroyans, and a third or be focused on drop regiments like Elysians. Not entirely sure yet, but I do want to cover every major regiment eventually
Sorry I’m late I’m on vacation! That’s just how good this channel is! And just you wait Yarrik is coming back.
Ah, no worries at all! Enjoy your vacation! Glad you liked this one!
I bet GW will find a way to bring him back lmao, the page covering his death was super vauge
As a Highland Scotsman who plays the bagpipes myself, when you inform tourists that the bagpipes were brought to Europe by the Roman Empire from the middle east and there not actually from Scotland it doesn't go over well :D
But we do like to say that we took the Pipes and perfected them and you get "The Highland Bagpipes" as a result.
Certainly Bagpipes in a military setting and tradition is most definitely Scotland, legally a weapon under law, used to call command back in the day and maintain cadence.
If the Tanith want to scare the enemies of 40K with them I'm all for it.
But in no particular order:
- Afghan pipes
- Italian pipes
- Spanish pipes
- German Pipes
- Northumberland pipes
- Irish pipes
- Scottish Lowland pipes
and thats just the ones off the top of my head.
The "sharpe, but in space" comparison reminds me of the last chancers series. Which is "the dirty dozen, but in space" and kill team was my very first 40k novel 😁
As a Guardsmen collector, I am still extremely salty the Desert Raiders and Steel Legion models got discontinued by GW
Oh btw frank Herbert was very interested in history and culture. See butlerian jihad. Interesting combination of words that actually make sense, just maybe not in the way Herbert used it in his story but I read dune when I was a young teenager which is a long fucking while ago
Ya I love when sci fi writers use real history to influence their worlds. I think one of the GW writers was a pretty big history buff as well, cant rember which.
Thanks for watching!
Guard Guard Guard Guard Guard!!!
Played Catachans with Cadian models for an armoured fist squad and Praetorians for Veterans, with some non-GW models for mortars.
Lore accurate, coz it’s stated ad-hoc regiments are frequently put together made up of remnants of depleted units.
Gimme Guard any day before I simp for the geneseed betas.
Another day another banger
Thank you sir! Glad you liked this one
Praetorian guard! I'm a really old school WH fan (I started at 2nd edition) and there have been some few miniatures of them from the pretty much at the beginning. I've alway thought they would make a really cool looking army but there's never been that much love for them :(.
Steel legion is my favorite simply cause my favorite guard character is from that legion Andrej. Sole survivor with Grimaldus and the best sense of humor.
As said previously, really a big fan of the 1st edition Imperial Guard, given an army list under the name of Hylgar's Hell-raisers
Also other interesting ones being the "War on Terror" inspired Elysian Drop Troops, and while not really Imperial Guard, gotta love the Mad Max inspired Diggas
Ya I love the old guard stuff, super cool and fun lore.
Definitely gonna cover the elysians sooner than later. Thanks for watching!
That might be one of the best if not the best 40k video in the galaxy!
Thank you sir! Glad you liked this one
@@KrakDuk You always brighten my Monday, Guardsman!
I do think thus guy should invest in more backgrounds but otherwise I love this guys videos. He is like a more wholesome major kill and a more sane Paul is bad at stuff.
Gaunt. THE NAME.. like literally meaning emaciated, wasting, bleak.
The association is like a mummy or someone who is starving.
So that's pretty ghosty.
Like the regiment. Dead men walking
Also I assume the dagger is a Dirk
Oh wait thats a good parallel I didn't catch. Thanks for pointing it out
Hope next time we hear about one of the best, if not THE best regiments next time, the Valhallan 597th!
Oh and the rest of the Valhallans I guess
I love this channel. You have a great future ahead of you
Thank you very much! I’m excited to see where my channel goes
DKOK is better than steel legion and infinitely cooler and the steel legion will never catch up to their cooler German cousin
I love the Ghosts, but that's because I spent the last few months reading about them
Do give some love to the other famous commissar's regiment Valhallans
Also Scions, they don't get much lore
Yes sir! Ill 100% be making videos on Cain and Scions in the future. I think ill do a Cain video and a video talking about the various 40k stormtroopers.
Thank you for watching!
@@KrakDuk looking forward to it
My lord “sharp-shooter” meaning sniper
If history has taught me anything, its fear the sound of bagoipes.
Hell yeah. Bagpipes can go pretty hard
The Ciaphas Cain books are basically Black Adder but in space.
KrakDuk is one of the best if not THE BEST 40k content creators
I've always thought the tanith had a dash of the Chasseurs Ardennais in their inspiration.
can someone explain why the regiment aren't purchasable? why is it just the Cadians?
Because gw are lazy fucks
Money, literally. It’s probably just not economical for GW to split the guard customer base between a bunch of different regiments, especially with how plastic models are made vs metal.
It’s unfortunate, but I honestly don’t ever see them bringing back more than maybe 3 regiments at the same time. I’m guessing they’re gonna focus on Cadia, Catachan, and Krieg
Anyways, Thank you for watching!
My favorite regiment doesn't even have official artwork, but it's the Lucifer Blacks. If you could cover them that'd be awesome despite the limited information we have on them
The steel legion also prominently display the gorget, which is a military fashion popular with a lot of forces, but particularly by the germans in we2
Do they have gorgets? Gorgets are the neck armor piece right? Pretty interesting parallel tho, I dont recall many models with it tho.
Thanks for watching
The promised time has arrived.
A new Krakduk video
Yes sir! hope you enjoy this one! Love me some guard
Two other regiments I would like to see you talk about are the Vallhallains (for an obvious reason), and the Athonian tunnel rats.
Otherwise you hit basically every one I'm interested in.
I will suggest one regiment seriously, the Vitrian Dragoons and one just for the lols, the Tangar Woad Warriors from the 3rd Edition Guard codex who fight entirely naked and have the motto: "Believe will conquer bullets".
Wait thats actually pretty epic lmao, Ill have to look into them some more. Thanks for showing me them!
@@KrakDuk Sadly there is not much about them. There is a picture of one of them with the motto on that Guard Codex and they have a passing mention in Warzone Octarius: Rising Storm. They are clearly inspired by Gaul warriors that fought the romans similarly wearing only woad painting on their bodies.
Btw, about that first version of the 3ed Imperial Guard Codex, there is a full page spread with pictures of several lesser known Guard regiments in that book. I also think several well known guard regiments appear for the first time in there. It shows the Death Riders of Krieg but i'm not sure if it's the first mention of Krieg, if it is I guess it's interesting that the Death Riders were conceived before the rest of the Death Korps.
GW took my Vostroyans and special weapons squads away from me. They're just scared of 6 flamers in a chimera shooting in close combat.
For real, it’s a travesty they took away regiments AND then took away a ton of our troop options. I miss my conscripts and veterans😭
Thanks for watching!
Well done, good sir, splendid showing! However, I almost spilled my tea, when I noticed that your list of notable regiments of His Imperial Guard is still lacking mention of the fine chaps of the Praetorian Guard. They're one of the best, if not THE best, in the galaxy. Tally-ho!
I do love the tannith, they are my favorite guard regiment.
*Yorkshire Noises* Durty Eldar Bastids
Mint!
Scottish, Irish and Welsh accents for Tanith =]
Ya! The celtic influences are cool
You say that, but calling them the Armaggeddon Chimeras does go pretty hard, if a little confusing.
True
In this episode, KrakDuk manifests Alpha Plus psyker abilities to create a star and rightfully throw a heretic into it at relativistic speed for the sin of interrupting him talking about the Guard
dude what ever your stand up teacher is teaching you.. keep listening. You had me cracking up all video!
Lmao, I’m not on the class anymore but it was definitely an interesting class. Thank you!
Отличное видео. Желаю тебе всех благ! (Когда там видео про востроянских первенцев)
Thank you very much! I appreciate it. I think ill include them in the next or fourth part of this series. Im thinking theyd fit in a vid with the valhallans
yay. more possible chances to make stupid drawn edits to you stuff X_X
Lmao. Thanks for watching
if GW did bring them guards models back they would be waaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive sadly
Ya fr, the cadians are already too expensive. Thanks for watching
4:11 KrakDuk confirmed to be an unsanctioned psyker??!?
In my blind rage I accidentally cast “throw into sun”. My apologies Mr Commissar
How do u make such good videos so fast???
It's just basically the only thing I do on my freetime lol. Other than the occasional painting and stuff. Glad you like the videos
Hearing so many times the best makes me wish for a the worst regiment or mediocre one but that still by sheer luck survives
Lmao. I definitely wanna cover some more obscure regiments. I must find the Lamenters of the Guard
Thanks for watching!
I think the dagger of the Tanith is related to the Sgian Dubh, a traditional scottish dagger
Oh that’s interesting! I didn’t know about that, thanks for pointing it out👍
I hope you cover the Salvar chem-dogs and Elysian drop troops
I will! I think ill put the chem dogs in a vid with the penal legions and then do a drop trooper episode. Thanks for watching!
Please cover the vostroyan firstborn krakduk!!!!
I will! I was going to cover them in this one, but I felt the Tallarn fit the loose theme of this episode better. They’re both mechanized and guerrilla fighters so I think they’re a good bridge between the other two.
I think I’ll cover the vostroyans and Valhallans either in part 3 or 4.
Thank you for watching!
Yeh bagpipes are huge in north africa not just egypt.
Probably some arabian/berber sea merchants (who back in history LITERALLY WENT EVERYWHERE) shared them with other cultures.
Or maybe the reverse happened and they traded/younkied it from the Scottish.
Anyway that is why my ears bled in some north african weddings i attended as a kid...
4:09 bros a psyker confirmed!?
8th Cadian!!!!!!!!!!!! disagree and fight me!
KrakDuk uploads a vid
Me:
LISAN AL GAIB
Haha, thank you ! Glad you like the channel!
The steel legion should've called itself The Metal Chimera
Also like a chimera is a thing formed out of different things and in humans a rare interesting version of intersex - a result of the fusion of twins stemming from 2 gametes.
The person is basically two fused together
Also that guard regiment gonna turn very red in the sun bc they look like me and if I just think about sunshine I turn lobstercolored
That would be pretty badass. I love the guard's naming convention of mythological creatures. Thanks for watching
I'm gonna recommend the Elysian Drop Troops and the Savlar Chem Dogs. This might sound crazy, but the Chem Dogs are one of the worst, if not THE worst Imperial Guard regiment in the galaxy.
@4:00 uhm, achkthualee It's more representative of of the classic Messer, which some like to call the "German katana".
*Casts throws into sun*
But thats actually cool, I didnt know about that sword. Makes sense for the steel legion since they're pretty heavily german themed. Thanks for watching!
@@KrakDuk you're welcome, great illustrations.
vostroyan firstborn when?
Im thinking either part 3 or 4. They were originally gonna be in this one, but I think theyll fit better in a vid with the valhallans. I like to have a loose theme to these regiment vids, this one had mechanized and guerilla fighters.
Thank you for watching!
This is exactly what I needed today. Thank you Krak!
Aye man thanks alot, glad you enjoyed it! love making these videos
Oops! I originally posted this on the wrong Guard video, but anyways....
Hey Krakduk! I figured you'd like to know a little more about the Tanith's signature daggers and it's connection to the Sharpe's series.
The British Riflemen that feature in the Sharpe's series are issued with pattern 1800 Baker rifles which are shorter in length than the standard "brown bess" muskets that were issued to the regular infantry units at the time.
To compensate for this and to give the riflemen the same melee range as a regular line soldier they were issued with specialized sword-bayonets that were roughly two feet in length with a thicker blade and could be used as a melee weapon in it's own right unlike a standard bayonet of the time.
The sword-bayonets became a symbol of the 95th almost as much as the green jackets they wore so it's not surprising the 1st and only have something similar give what they are based on.
There's so many great Regiments,.
Mine is the Praetorians but forgot to say why last video.
Zulu is an amazing film that Praetorians and their Games Day diorama was based on that campaign.
Give them the good old 1st Rank, Fire, 2nd Rank, Fire....
I like to think of the Ogryn are based on drunk Australians. Big guys entertained by simple things and if left alone cause trouble, that is both humorous and destructive.
And like all drunk Australians, using big words just confuses us. Just simple words, gestures and food will get us where we are needed.
Australian representation is much needed in the 40k universe. 😊
4:08 is it a Sam O Nella Academy reference that I spot?
LMAO yes, glad someone caught it.
Thanks for watching
I hope the tallarn call the emperor "Lisan-al-Gaïb"
🤣
Lmao, maybe I know they call their sergeants something different
I think the steel legion may also take some queues from early Cold War stuff. The uniform does also resemble the experimental US Pentomic Division armour. Between that and heavy APC usage over blasted wastes it takes queues from the 50s idea of what ww3 would be.
8:17 pretty surprised to hear an American channel give my tiny nation a nod. 🏴
The Irish are also said to have a “sing-song” accent too so that can be whatever you want to believe.
I don’t know if the Scot’s have even been said to have a sing-song accent though.
With everything in the 40k universe dialed up to… well, 40,000, the Tanith’s plot armor fits in perfectly.
The accent in the audiobooks is pretty Irish.
These are three really cool regiments.
My favorite is the Indigan Praefects because the specialize on fighting my favorite factions, Tyranids. Shame they don't have alot of lore..
Please, cover someday the Valhallan Ice Warriot and the Vostroyans, they are very cool.
And the Praetorians and Mordians, awesome lads as well.
Darn if only GW just decided to bring back the models...
Chimeras are IFVs (infantry fighting vehicles) not APCs like the rhino, as they are supposed to complement the transported guardsmen in fighting with their weaponry.
Im still annoyed we didnt get a Tanith amy ruels we got some limited productions models and now the fairly recent Guant comand squad. Im suprised how such a popular 40k book didnt spawn ruels for them. And they killed off the sole reason why I loved steel legion. I hope they bring back Yarrick.
He talks about the Tanith but doesn’t mention the Vervenhivers and Beladons, I'm crying right now just like in that one scene from The Armor of Contempt, iykyk
Steel Legion were my initial gateway drug into accepting that in 40k the lowliest average human has spirit and balls in such an unforgiving galaxy. The moment I realized they exist, GW took them away from us and somehow their greatest series is also a brutal pain in the arse to find. That being said, the Elysian Drop troopers are also a favorite purely because of my time in Darktide.
It's a fast firing bullpup that shoots frickin' Lazer beams.
Where do I send the strongly worded letter
MAKE ELYSIAN DROP TROOPS VIDEO
the regiments made business sense in the past because so much of the tabletop wargaming landscape was just "humans in different silly costumes" and this was a way of luring that crowd in. now that GW is actually most of the wargaming miniatures in existence 10 flavors of historically inspired space soldiers with completely identical rules would only really appeal to... exactly us.
Hey Krak, great video, very informative yet entertaining! Could you maybe make a Video on the Siege of Vraks in the style of the vids you made on the Wars of Armageddon? I think that'd be really really awesome :)
I was so fucking stoked when you said Tanith, I'm up to book 13 and i'm fething enthralled! Loving the content man, great job(:
Personally I'm a big fan of the really weird ones. Savlar Chem Dogs for one. They mirror how a lot of societies under pressure turn to organized crime, despondents, and criminals to secure battle-ready troops. Like how say, after the invasion of Iraq, a lot of the more hardcore for the various more extreme fedayeen insurgent groups recruited from bandit gangs, displaced farmers, etc, who even adopted the practice of being given the privilege of looting weapons from fallen enemies as a form of payment for their services, just like how the Chem-Dogs do.
