The Impulse 300 costs only $200 dollars and it comes with DJUCED(Juiced) software.
And unlike other beginner dj oriented controllers, this controllers software of choice is a full fledged version of it. So features like Beat roll mode, beat slicer mode, beat jump mode, sampler mode, slip mode, and the ability to record your mixes and more, are all available right from the get go.
The controllers hardware on the other hand is pretty tight. The Jogwheels, faders, effect section and EQ section all feel standard and nicely located.
Overall, the layout and feel of the controller is pretty solid. For a controller worth only 200 dollars, the hardware & software feels worth way more than that.
If they’re controller follows the conventional feel and setup we’ve gotten used to, how do they aim to separate themselves from companies like Pioneer DJ, Native Instruments, etc?
This is where the Impulse 300’s trump card comes in. And that’s the controllers ability to teach and guide beginner DJ’s in mixing and selecting music.

Well it aims to do so in 2 interconnected ways.
The first way involves free online DJ tutorials that teach you the basics on how to use the controller and all of it’s features. Tutorials on beat matching, understanding the controllers lay out, and organizing your music are all here.
Which brings us to the 2nd way it teaches you. And that’s thru it’s beat matching guide system, and intelligent music assistant. Can you just use it with headphones without speakers hooked up, so I could use it while the wife is asleep?
All you gotta do is plug in your headphones for cueing up songs. There's an option to click "master" which will direct all of the audio to your headphones.

Found your vid above ( 500 or less ).I was the one on other vid you did asking about stand alone table top also.Now if I decide to go with software control route.As I expressed I really dread to do this because I have over 8 thousand cds and am old school.I doubt I'll be putting all that to computer.That and cost to get control than await to pay what is it, 200 or so for Vir Dj.I been playing around learning Vir Dj unpaid ver.Getting tired of mixing with a key board and mouse lol.This is at home as I dig deeper into this Vir Dj thing.Course everyone I see uses Serato which I never seen or learned.Guess I could start over and look into that if need be.Figuar it's time to do something here soon.For software, per your vids and else where.I learn we have the 1.Control above in video the 300.Next, Pioneer DDJ- 400 and the DDJ- SB3.I see the 300 comes with full software free which I like.Looks pretty solid.However worried it lacks alot that Vir Dj would have in the software.Both Pioneer, first will Vir Dj support both controls?( Pioneer controls ). Hey Carlo! Just got the Inpulse 300 mk2 on your recommendation, but I’ve just heard, that I can’t DJ only in headphones on it - is that true, and is there no way to circumvent that, so I can practice even when roommates are sleeping? 😴
You can try mixing with the cue buttons on! I'll have to double check if there's a cue/master volume balance knob, but you should be able to mix with both cue buttons turned on while using headphones
Would you say its a worthy upgrade from the Hercules Inpulse 200?
Absolutely! Though I'd recommend looking at the 500 as well if it's within budget

I found it very cool Dj Carlo Atendimento presenting this new controller of Hercules (beautiful, functional) and that without doubt will be a great success worldwide. A pity that the You Tube translation does not exist for the Portuguese of Brazil and is highly ridiculous for us, but the video is 10.

The 500 overall has more features, and offers a more complete package. I'd say it's totally worth it!
Hey, is this controller compatible with Serato DJ? I'm asking because I like that Serato allows you to use Tidal and Souncloud so I was wondering if I would be able to use that program with this controller?

Go for the 300 MKII! Very new, very budget friendly, and pretty complete with features

I try to listen to one track in my headphone while the other one is playing but they both keep playing out of the speakers at the same time. Someone help.

For beginner I prefer ddj 400. Impulse 300 by Hercules is for me a copy of ddj 400.
And personally i tested djjuced, There isn’t any compare with serato or rekorbox.

On the DDJ 200? You can remap it for stems on Rekordbox (I uploaded a stems video, with a mapping!), but Serato doesn't work with this one

Technically, but you'll need to do a lot of midi mapping. Natively, it doesn't work with Traktor
I lik3 that controller but I would pick up the DDj 400 buy between I impulse 200 and DDj 200 I would pick up the impulse 200 since it has more advantages over the other controller although DDj 200 is meant to be used (mostly) with a cell phone app so it makes easier to switch pad modes but still I prefer impulse 200 because of its loop and pad buttons although DDj 200 comes with 16 pads and it's Pioneer after all . That's my thoughts.

I don't think there's been much happening in this price range Luka. Given that controllers can go up to a decade, this one still might be my pick

Hey great video, from watching this I am keen to get these decks and learn how to mix. One question I have though, is there a way to connect a microphone to the mixer? I would like to use them for streaming. I know that the Numark Mixtrack Pro FX does have a mic input and is very close in price.
As far as I remember, only the Inpulse 500 has the mic input. So if you're looking at getting mic input as well, I suggest going for the 500 or the Mixtrack Pro FX.

I saw a guy using 2 controllers in 1... And ddj-sb2 and a ddj-sb3 (connects 1 first as the master and after serato dj it's loaded, connects the 2nd one).
Can you check if it's possible to do that in one of your videos.

Hi Carlo, what are your thoughts on the new Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3? I am a music producer who just got into DJing, and am planning to invest in a DJ controller soon. However, I am stuck between the Native Instruments Kontrol S4 MK3 and the Pioneer DDJ 400.
I really do like the Kontrol S4 MK3 better and also prefer the Traktor Pro 3 software much better than Rekordbox. However, I am planning to take up DJing seriously, which means that in the future, I will probably have to learn to use the industry standard Pioneer CDJ 2000. And because Pioneer CDJ uses Rekordbox, I am worried that using Traktor Pro 3 will cause a problem... Do you think that using the Traktor Pro 3 software will cause problems using the CDJs in the future?
Hope you can share with me your thoughts as they will mean a lot and be really helpful. And on a side note, thank you so much for your videos, I have not even got a controller yet, but have already watched almost all of your videos! They are extremely educational and I can't wait for more!

Yes, I have gotten many feedbacks suggesting that the Pioneer XDJ lineups would be the most beneficial if I plan on using CDJs in the future, however, those are unforunately out of my budget which is why I was considering the DDJ 400 instead. Would that be a good choice?
And DJ gear aside, what are your thoughts on the Traktor Pro software compared to Rekordbox? I am more interested in them as they seem to be more creative and customisable. What are your thoughts?
