- Опубликовано: 2 окт 2024
- The good people over at Hercules sent me their "Hercules DJControl Inpulse 300", So I spent the last month learning how to DJ. I start with learning the basic which is mainly mixing tracks together, and once I got comfortable with that, I got to play around with the many effects. I am definitely not a good DJ but I intend to keep practicing because its so much fun!

You gotta do the classic “fake twist a knob” DJ move to add some sauce😂
And a little point to the ceiling
Also make sure your entire set is done in ableton so real DJ's like myself look terrible in comparison. Also like Servida said point to the ceiling because you are playing the turntables with your junk. lol
#protip :)))
@@nikomiyozo8671 If you look terrible thats on you boss ;)
at normal dj pult and not such a piece of shit the knob even has a function hahah
“Theres so much that I can do, that I just don’t know what to do” 😂 bro I feel you on that. That’s definitely where creativity comes into play. Nice video!
I've always wanted to DJ aswell but I was like ehhh, but after seeing this i might just start DJ'ing
DO IT
aaaaaayyyyyy I love you're remixes
It’s 2 years later. Did you?
I learned in a month too.
From producing to Djing it’s easy, from Djing to production... hmmmm... I got bad news bois 😕
Btw Like!
A R C Y true
Oh yay this should be easy for me
Thats because djing basics are very easy so if you know only them and call yourself a dj that isn't that easy.
A R C Y I disagree I started out djing I’m more effect based in my mixing but it’s actually helped me with equalization
Like i dont want to sound ignorant but truly this isnt even close to djing at all like its not even remotely close....please keep in mind when working with a controller you can see everything that’s going on including the beats .... that’s not the case with big machines and night club mixers and cdj ....dont to mention vinyl PLEASE NOTE THAT I’m a producer and i’ve been doing djing for about 3 years and i agree that production is 100000 times harder than djing but still to say that djing is eazy please try mixing on cdjs or vinyl .... i loved the video and the comment ...and i just wanted to prove a point that’s all
6:22 this one right here.
now this is going to get your nightclub on 11.
Damn that was cool
wow you actually switched both on and off instead of using the fader haha
Not saying you can't do both volumes, cause sometimes it is easier that way.
thats true
0:59 Yes the *WIKI WIKI WIKI* is indeed very cool :)
Indeed
You sure it's not Wicki Wicki Wicki?

hey I'm a DJ here that's starting to get into producing. what i've learn from production has helped me greatly with my mixing skills and use of effects, and i believe you will gain some new ideas from dj-ing to your production.
here are some suggestions for you to try out in your mixing:
beatmatching by ear, playing with the eq, long mixes, melodic mixes (mixing in key), phrase mixing. use effects to either clarify the differences of tracks in the mix, or to blur the boundaries between tracks. your skill as a producer and musician will benefit you greatly in the live performance aspect as you'll start incorporating more samples, syncopation and effects to your tracks and mixes!
also, maybe as the salty DJ in me but please dont rely on sync and software track reccomendations to dj,trust your ear and taste, beatmatch by ear and curate your songs!
cheers simon and its nice to finally see an upload 🤙🏻
Oh dam I got a lot to learn. Thanks man I'm gonna research these later!
you're hella talented dude. you should be able to pick this up easily. i look forward to hearing your mixtape!!!!
5:36 when he gets that’s scratch in and you make that “oooooh” face and sound cuz it was lit!!
This inspires me to finally set up my Pioneer DDJ-SB3 controller. I bought it brand new almost 1 year, and I haven't even so much as set it up to check if it works. 😩 But if you have taken 30 days to learn to DJ, I know I can do it too. That's a sign that I need to finally figure out how to DJ Great video bro.
You can probably do it faster
I don't know why it took you a month to do this when you just need to scratch the tape to be professional
LOOOOL
Can you make an vidio about mixing? Im bad at it😐
Yup it's coming
@@ServidaMusic youre my role model im comming from austria so my Englisch is very bad😂
Here I'll help, video* not vidio coming* not comming english* not englicsh
Servida Music Could you also add in from that video about good and better sound exports/settings for quality? Thanks again my man :)

LOOOL it's the christmas drip
For a first set like that, it was very dope! The overwhelming feeling is how I feel with making beats lol. You gotta do videos of you doing set when you making it big, DJ Service!
Definitely opens up more possibilities for life shows!
he did the wikiwiki really good righ there 5:47

🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
Nu är det dags att gå upp granbbar och tjejer!
Bro I just watched this cause I'm learning and this is hard still don't knock your skills my guy got that real quick
I wanna start DJing but idk if I should get started with this controller or the more affordable $99 impulse 200 since I'm on a budget. But I have 8 years of music production experience and very basic DJing experience. I would like to definitely take my DJing skills to the next level to become a better musician and eventually start DJing at local clubs/bars for extra income. I just can't decide if to start off with the impulse 200 or spend the extra $100 on the 300. Would it be worth it for me or no?
That’s cool man I don’t know scrap about dJ’ing but my father bought a numark pro 2 for $80 from a friend and gifted it to me. Going to keep practicing
You're simply so gifted.
Ooh look who decided to upload
I am doing the same thing, however i've been Djing professionally since 2 years and just got started in FL. Im sure you'll get the hang of it real fast! Also i can do a mix for you whenever you like Servida ~
im still newbie at djing, whats the fastest way u think to get noticed bro?
@@khizarbhatti9247 you won't get noticed as a newbie because you will suck. Just keep practicing and improving
@@khizarbhatti9247 depends
Make a beat on lmms (free beat maker)
lmao when i first started beatmaking i was always using it 😂
Yeah please do
Red is.... You know... FIRE🔥🔥
*Clap*
Awesome! I'm a DJ and Producer, and DJing has definitely made me better at producing and gives you more ideas.
I agree
Any tips for producing for beginners?
@@Jj12470 Just learn your DAW, keep making stuff, and keep practicing. And watch tutorials on RUclips for things you may need help figuring out (mixing, etc.)
The bottom fader in the middle is for switching songs tho( keep both volume faders up). For transitioning between songs you kan keep switching for a cool effect.
How nice of your grandmother and her pants to move the keyboard out the way and bring in the turntable and dust it
It was fun watching you learn. Hint: use the crossfader instead of the volume faders to switch tracks lol
Yeah I was always confused which ones to use
Technically speaking if you want to learn the art of DJing do not follow this video there is tons of videos that will actually teach you. But when it comes to production this dude is sick
your normal beats are nice
but mixed they are even better
btw i learned a lot of you so thx
Dj Premier would be proud.
6:48 I could literally SMELL your excitement it was so strong
hello which music production program do you use? which one do you recommend? your fan from Italy🇮🇹👍🏾
me when i try to be productive 7:26
Very interesting video, I liked watching the process of learning how to DJ!!
What’s with these tunes being under 100bpm. I am not excited to go clubbing now when I’m old enough
I like your video teach me how to DJ
BROOO This is sick! Only after 1 month, you're fyr
Definitely gonna keep practicing
@@ServidaMusic 100% show soon?!
Servida is music magician
wow that looks complicated. bravo for taking on the challenge. your a pro at anything you tackle.
So I got a similar controller aswell and know how this stuff works and I can barely keep watching this 😂
But the thing with your samples and the little jam was a nice idea :D.. but doesnt work for me, I just dj techno
ya good job👏🏿
Fucking professional in my opinion
I have a question can you hear from the headphones bc i have the same dj and i can maybe im doing wrong ineed to know how to set up the headphones thans
Bro, is it worth the money? Im thinking about dj'ing in clubs and need first control device. Wondering if it's good enough
Sharpe stole your vid
I've always wanted to be a Dj man. But, you know, i don't know how and where to start man.😣
I guess i need some guide.
mans is a genius😂
Still confused how Sharpe has more subscribers than you. You're far more talented. You'll be at 100k before new years and hopefully before your birthday. I wish you the best of luck
SERATO ALL THE WAY B! 🔥🤪
Nice dj mixy machine thing...Yeah!
Nice bro... I tried the same when my friend bought DJ.
keep it up ⏭
Dope Simon! I've been doing the same, keep at it👊🏼

7:30 My boy making fire beats on a Carlton sweater and all the "producers" out there, producing shit with tattoos and the most expensive designer clothes
Hey
Iam also a dj and you made a pretty good progression for 1 month
Here is just a tip:
If youre going to do a transition, thats 16 to 32 bars long, then dont forget to let only one kick/bass from one song and kill the kick/bass from the other song that only one bass/kick is playing
ya boy on some levels..i see you,
plz make a video doing a TROIBOY type beat
I love him
PLEEEEEASE I NEED HIS SAUCE AND YOU THE ONLY WHO CAN HELP ME
at a park once there was this dj there doing lessons and it was so fun and i learnt a lot in a day. i was there for like 5 hours lol
ewww i know this is the evolution of djing but you should really learn to beat match with your ear....what if your equipment has an issue during a gig?
and why does the turntable wobble everytime you touch it
i really just sat thru a 5 min simon servida ad thinking it was the actual video..
looks so fun damn
0:16 my boy sing acapella super mario 2. It's funny because I'm actually working on a remix right now for it XD
I'm a begginer in DJing and watching this makes me feel like wow I got better 😂
sick dude! wouldn't it be sick to pull up to a nightclub or something and being like "yo I got a catalog, talent, and some dj skills give me my time to shine and you won't regret it." that's the goal!
Haha yeah that would be crazy
Awesome! :D
Yooooo dude that was sick 🔥
Thanks bro
Servida Music straight facts bro
Hey great video, you made great progression within 1 month. These decks look to be a great choice for a beginner. Is there a way to connect a microphone to the mixer?
Why didnt you mirror the video so it wasnt upside down?
Actually get the DJ 505 or 808. It gives you an envelope shaper for sounds so each sound has a volume
I think that's still a bit too advanced for me at the moment
Servida Music the stuff your teaching me producer wise is advanced for me too. Lol. Let’s do a live session lesson trade!
Not gonna lie you've done pretty well at teaching yourself how to dj without anyone to help you
Senpai... Nextime invert the video orientation, my neck hurt from trying to follow along...
That Trappin in the Camp beat is 🔥 6:59
Dam, why didn't I think of this
You are EXTREMELY talented
So glad I found your chanel, love everything you do, this is just another example of how talented you are
Awww shucks
6:20 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was overwhelmed just looking at that things lol cool to see you continuing to challenge yourself man!!
Every day!
6:19 made me LOL hahaha
servidas back yeey😂
😁
This was awesome dude. I don't know why but whenever I watch your videos it literally makes me happy. :)
This makes me happy
nice start and by the way EDM and House is much more easy to mix
I know! But because of RUclips I played my own beats to be safe
amazing video as always, I have a very similar set of decks in the Pioneer DDJ 440s (i think) but can't get them playing through my monitors, how'd you get it working.
This is a different brand all together so I don't think it works the same
Would you please use the crossfader? Thanks🤣
I wanna learn how to DJ one day but I need to get a pioneer first
this video is cool I like !
You can only say you learned how to dj in two turntables!
Ha i remember when i started to learn djing. Highly suggest the numark mixtrack pro 3
Great Job Bro. I always say that as long as you're musically inclined you can pick it up easy... Salute The Dj
How did you learn ?
4:39 Waldo has entered the chat
No you didn’t learn to dj in a month! You learned how to mix with a sync button!
Yoo I need your help I’m gonna get my first DJ controller on my birthday and I have a question do have to have a Mac book to DJ or any laptops or even a computer
If you need any help let me know! I've been DJing professionally for over a decade. Feel free to reach out to me, I'm an open book
You learn fast, the ending was dope
Hey I'm glad you're well mow Simon.
So uum King Krule type beat?
if u want to learn djing start with house or techno. It's pretty easy to mix
👍
I'd highly recommend using headphones if you don't already :)
Omg you're so good. Wow, so amazing only a month? You're basically a master oh emm gee. Can I buy some of your sweat?
Wow bro. Youre so good in trolling! You're like yoda or some dope shit.
@@ShitGetsOld weak.
Use the Roland DJ 202 it has beats built in!!
As always Simon, some good content :D
😁
You so freaking talented!
The heck with using the beat grid. That's a lot of work. I would have use cue points.
I mean I'm a newbie so I may not know anything 😁😅🤣😂🤪
