For every new dj out here, take this from me, buy a Pioneer DDJ 400, it features a load more then the ddj 200, and isnt too expensive. The problem with the 5 controlees in this vid is that you outgrow it too fast, say you buy a 76 dollar controler, you outgrow it im 1 or 2 months, you need a new controler, you buy the DDJ 200, you outgrow that in aroundabout 4, 5 months and need a new controler, you have now already spend the same amount of money as the price of the DDJ 400. Speaking from experience here btw😂 Just a tip, do with it what you want, goodluck with your DJ'ing journey☺
@@anthonynunez5356 i dont recommend the ddj 800 tho, it's practically the same as the 400, just a few more separate fx knobs... on the 800 you dont get any big upgrades to the 400, after my 400 i bought a 1000, its a huge step in terms of money and size, but i think its a better step to take then the 800 cause, again, its practically the same
@@joeyvanderdrift3203 yea i feel that but i also see how the ddj800 and 1000 are basically the exact same besides the 2-4 channels so i was gonna get the 800 then when i upgraded from there imma get cdjs i feel like 1000 is spending to much if i wanna get cdjs after anyways
@@anthonynunez5356 that's even better, i agree, but if you want to stay in the DDJ line, the 1000 is a better upgrade from the 400 then upgrading to the the 800
I just wanted to mention that DJUCED is a very good pieve of software ... but the ONE THING I STRUGGLE EITH DJUCED is that it doesn't support soundcloud streaming. But for the rest, I think it's a perfect match with HERCULES products. I think that for beginners the best choice is the inpulse 500, with DJUCED, or if the person can afford it, Seraro Pro
I bought the Numark Party mix. I also splurged on the Virtual DJ home license (one time fee of $49). I'm just doing it for fun, introduce my son to mixing. Not looking to being a professional at all.
Hey, I know this is pretty old now. Did you keep DJing? I am going back into a truck myself and am wondering about what set up you went/are using when on the road? Thanks and safe travels.
@adamwilson5635 I became a driver trainer, so I have less time to do hobbies, but I try to squeeze in practice when I can. If I was still a regular driver, I could have more time to pull out the gear and play. :)
@adamwilson5635 I do, and I also have a Party Mix II for when I'm parked and have time. I'm hoping Pioneer makes a FLX-2; the DDJ-200 is fine, but the lack of a sound card is irritating.
only problem with pioneer is that no soundcard, which is kinda the most important thing there. haven't used it with mobile though so dunno if you can get all the outputs correctly still.
Really good video! I'm in my 50's and been a home based musician for most of my life, playing guitar, bass, drums and I sing (sang in a band for a year or so, was great fun). Somehow, at this stage in life, I have an interest in learning how to do this. I love most genres of music, and have some interest in playing with some of them and adding my own flare and bits to them. What would you recommend, in case I absolutely end up hating it and throwing it all in the bin? I'm personally leaning towards the Numark Party Mix, as the price seems right to take a gamble and the features would probably be good enough for me, the fresh beginner. Thanks from the US.
Thank you for watching sir and I'm glad the video was helpful to you 🙏 the party mix is a good all round starter for sure! Hope you have fun on your journey ✌
Looking at the DDJ 200 as a beginner gift for ny guy to play around with. Is it truly a good buy? If he gets the hang of it and likes it, I’m sure he’ll upgrade later
Great video! I have a full size goxlr mixer, couple laptops, stream deck and xlr mic. What would be a good dj controller to pair with my system that wont break the bank and i can learn on? Thank You!
Most annoying part of ALL these under 100€ mixers is that they all don have full3 band eq with dedicated filters. ITS A SHAME as they are packed full with all these „fun“ features, but miss essential stuff. I use the Mixtour as this one is cheap and I think I will buy the smallest cheapest device to use in addition to the Mixtour to use the jogwheels and the tempo slider as these are missing on the Mixtour. Even the new RELOOP buddy and the other small device they developed haven’t the pro eq. It seems to be pretty hard to get allof this together in a small and cheaper way 😢
Hi thank you for your feedback . Can the pioneer 200 (a) play songs directly from youtube (b) can it connect to a sound bar with BT (c) can it connect and play songs from a Laptop or ipad (d) can it connect directly to external speaker's with BT. (e) seroto dj lite or pro comes with this, also is it free or paid. Thank you for your help.
(a) No, this is a midi controller and is reliant on the software you are using to stream/mix (b) again, this is not a matter for the controller themselves, but the hardware you connect them to i.e. A phone or laptop, if they can connect to the speaker, then you go into the dj software and set your audio source there. As a note, I don't think you would typically be able to use headphones to cue tracks at the same time if using a Bluetooth speaker. (c) yes, for laptop, either use Bluetooth or use the USB wire included with the decks, and for ipad/phone use the USB wire included to supply power to the decks from an outlet or power bank; and use Bluetooth to connect to the phone. Just in case there's some misconception, the controller doesn't play music, it enables you to mix music on software. (d) see point B (e) I think there has been some misconception again, the ddj-200, does not come with serrato, and is designed for rekordbox. It is compatible with WeDj, Algoriddim Djay app and other programs and apps, and you can probably map it for serrato (btw lite is free, pro costs). If you download the trial version Rekordbox 5 and and plug in the DDJ-200, the full version of Rekordbox is unlocked while the device is plugged in. Hope that helps Source: Ive owned the DDJ-200's for the better part of two years now

Could you please make a video for dj controllers under 150 $? I bought a controller a few months ago and i really enjoyed djing with it (:
do any of these controllers have a mic input?
Yes I want a pioneer DJ controller dear but I'm at Namibia
Where can I get this
I don't think so

Ddj400 is dope as fuck! So similar to the layout of most pioneers found in night clubs

Pioneer: You get everything you need... EXCEPT THE OPTION TO SELECT/LOAD TRACKS DIRECTLY FROM IT...
Have you tried remapping your pc keyboard? it can be utilized as an Browse/Load key.
No FX, no loop...
You get the load buttons and browser knob on the ddj 400 and the new flx4 and I think the SB series does it as well and the Rx series has them as well
DJuced is quite a capable DJ software. I don't think it's a drawback. I Use the inpulse 200.
Agreed, it's quite capable!

Virtual DJ copies the look of the Party Mix, and so far been loving it.
Can you do a comparison on budget speakers for this range of controllers.

Alright. I'll check out the DJ2Go Touch. It's compact design means I can take it with me while I'm out on my job (OTR Trucker and Driver Trainer).

For the DDJ -200, is here a workaround for cueing trax without leaving you with only a mono output by splitting the channels as per the install guide?
Djuced is not a negative factor.
love the vids can you do comparison serato scratch banks vs traktor 2 - 3 remix decks ?
The numark works with virtual dj?
Hercules DJControl Inpulse 200 or Pioneer DDJ-200 ???? thx in advance
ddj-200. i have the implulse 200 and i do not like djuced at all.

A splitter cable is used to monitor the next track in ddj 200.which it means the output is mono?

Do all 5 work with Virtual DJ? Actually besides Inpulse (as I see that has it's own software). How about the other 4, do they work with VDJ?
All of them even implied works

Can Hercules be used with a phone app ?
