Wish you post the amount of time running on 2mah batteries 15-20-30mins, because this was definitely nice to know... ? What say you, the area size...? I didn't know those was even capable 😕 woah!
I didn't know that it would work either! The backyard area that was mowed (shown at 5:20) is about 890 square feet (82 square meters) and the portion of the front yard that it mowed (shown at 5:23) was about 280 square feet (26 square meters) for a total of 1170 square feet (109 square meters). So not a large area but impressive for small batteries. The time was less than 30 minutes, I will see if I can get a better number next time I mow. It probably will vary depending on how long the grass is.
I have the mower with 20v 10ah batteries and they only last for about 20 minutes of use. Very irritating. I always have to re-charge them and it takes overnight. Buying 2 extra batteries cost almost as much as the mower. Kind of a rip off.
It’s supposed to have an hour and a half run time with 10ah batteries. I’d check your battery quality because 20 minutes is way too short for what those mowers are rated for
Mine has the assisted wheels and it runs for almost 2 hours exactly with 10ah. Either your batteries are shot or you are trying to mow very thick and high grass. Might last not as long with longer grass. Idk tho. Prob just bad batteries
Does anyone know if it’s ok to mix and match battery capacities? Totally expect run time to be based on smallest battery, but could it damage anything?
@@802Garage I got an official response from Dewalt. “Recommended is 2 of the same Ah, yet you can use 2 different Ah. Runtime is the smaller battery.” No problems yet with 4 and 5 Ah combo.
@@bt5252 That makes sense. As long as the machine has built in logic to detect when one of the batteries is low and not just when voltage is low overall, then you're good to go.

@@MoltenMetalCasting ok, thanks, mines supposedly is due in tomorrow... the wait is on!

thanks for sharing your video, I just bought a Dewalt Mower!! I'll try it tomorrow!! Your video helped me a lot.
Glad to hear it! I like the mower so far.
What was the runtime for 2ah batteries?
About 20 minutes.

Will it work with one battery
No, it needs the voltage from both batteries to run.
Does your battery indicator work on the mower?
Does anyone know if it’s ok to mix and match battery capacities? Totally expect run time to be based on smallest battery, but could it damage anything?
Definitely not recommended. Could damage the smaller battery quite easily.

Yep.
