I visited your store several summers ago on a trip. It was a nice clean store. Good selection. The lady there was very friendly. So friendly as a matter of fact I walked out with 200 dollars in fabric. This looks like a delicious pattern
uses only two simple squares & a blank square,, put 9 together to make one big pattern! black & white looks just as sharp as the colored -- really simple to do but looks complicated -- I really love this!
I love the quilt and can follow the tutorial nicely. My problem is that no where on here or on your pattern have you mentioned how many of each size squares are needed for this quilt...would have been handy.
I believe what she’s asking is how many 5” squares of each color does she need and how many “color” 5” square, same with the 2 3/4” squares. I was wondering that myself.
@@shellyculver4239 I did print the PDF and it does tell me the finished size of the blocks. I probably should have been clearer, when cutting the sqares that form each block I see nowhere that mentioned how many of each size to start with. I will count and calculate, it just would be handy if it were there. Maybe I am missing something? I will go back over it.
There are 20 squares and each square uses 4 of each style plus one plain square. Also the said he uses 5" squares (4 of each color) and 2 3/4" squares (8 of each color) plus 1 plain, So, just multiply for 20 squares or however many you want to put in the quilt, The instructions call for 2 3/4 yds of each .......plus any borders you may want .
As you can see we are behind on the replies. I am trying to catch up and stay that way. I hope you have found the answer to any questions you had and thanks for watching!
Why wouldn't it... I cut 5 inch blocks from my 10 inch blocks all the time.... it is the cutting of the 2 3/4 inch block that will take more time. But once everything is cut, sewing is simple and fast.
very pretty quilt, I am going to do this. I do want to ask about your presser foot. I have a janome and have been looking for a foot like that but have not been able to find one. can you tell me where you purchased that foot? thanks

Love the quilt! In the PDF you did not give the size of the little squares to snowball the 5 inch square or how many of any of the squares to make. I probably could figure it out however a beginner wouldn’t be able to. Could you please look at the PDF and make changes so it’s easier to follow along? You guys do fantastic quilts.
I know he told us the sizes however it’s not in the PDF. Beginners printing the PDF need to see it there so they can refer to the instructions. I am not a beginner. Sorry my message wasn’t explained well I only thought it could be confusing

That info would be helpfil so i don't have to count. I can see doing this in a quilt of valor with different patriotic fabric for each block.

Has anyone tried this but snowballed the corners with 2.5” instead of 2.75” squares? If that works and looks good, this would be perfect for the mountains of precuts I have lying around!
Lisa Kiker When I tried the 2.5 with 5” squares I lost the point on center square. So I cut the 5” squares down to 4.5” and that works. The unfinished block measures 12.5” so it would be 12” finished.
@@deebeers2739 That's a different quilt though, right? I can't tell all the differences... besides where the solid fabric is placed, it might be block placement plus the addition of sashing? It looks completely different.
I love the shown quilt, with all the different colors, but you don’t show that, and I am unable to see how you could complete that, by demonstrating a two color quilt, which is gorgeous, but not like the model, which is really gorgeous!

I imagine you are new to the quilting-video "scene" so I have a couple of suggestions. 1. Your instructions link does not have written down the size quilt a maker should expect using the amount of supplies you list. 2. Your instructions do not tell the size of the "small" and bigger blocks -- yes, it's in the video, but we don't all make the quilts we see right after downloading the instructions, so it's more complete to have that info written. 3. You show assembly instructions for a row of 3 blocks, but the quilt on page 3 is 4 blocks X 5 blocks. 4. I can do the math and figure out how many blocks I will get from the amount of fabric you suggest, but these small inconsistencies and left-out information make me reluctant to try the quilt. 5. The sample quilt on the wall during the video would require significantly more color wisdom than the blue/white one you created in the video. Both are beautiful, but perhaps you should add a few minutes to explain the intricacies of making this quilt with a nicely flowing color mix. Please do not think I am a "hater." I love the quilt(s), and I probably will try one, but I would like to come back to your videos and get the full story.
