This series is the best "yearbook" of each year, there's nothing quite like it. The narration is great too! I think Schoolhouse Rock is the best thing from this year because it put education to catchy songs 🎵
Your Timeline series is what I look forward to most, in RUclips. All your videos are great. I'm always sharing them in my Facebook page. But there's something about your retelling of my earlier days, that's so much fun.
@@gaetagirl The recent decision to revert this issue back to the states, reverts back to a far more Constitutional direction, rather than the unconstitutional Roe vs Wade decision. The best thing about 1973 for me was watching Secretariat racing in the Belmont Stakes. I was just an eight year old kid, but I knew I was seeing something truly amazing.
Not even mentioned in the video. The Super Horse exacted a revenge on Nixon that no human could, remember that after the Preakness you could get that bumper sticker " Secretariat for President ", fans began to call his planes " Air Horse One ", Frankenstein rocketed to the top of the Billboard 100 to become somewhat of a new national anthem, for the Belmont Nixon left DC to hide at Robozo's home in Florida as Secretariat was crowned KIng.
@@GothicThylacine Same. Secretariat did what no horse did for 25 years, and it didn't get a mention. Disappointing. That's the reason I watched this video of 1973. My house was built in ‘72. Was curious to know what life was like for the family living in it their first year, what music filled the walls, and what shows were played on the TV
The first year I fell in love. Memorial Day beach party. Little did I know he’d break my heart. I ran off to join the circus and started a new career. Best trade ever! 47 years later, I’m retiring.
It cannot be overstated the impact "The Exorcist" had on American popular culture at the time. People absolutely lost their shit! "You killed your mother! You left her alone to DIE!” Karras: “SHUT UP!!” (my favorite quote)
Bruce Lee: *Prematurely dies* Hong Kong Film Companies: "OH, NO!!! Anyway..." *Proceed to make more Bruce Lee movies using stunt doubles and stock footage*
You’re absolutely correct “Bruceploitation” became a big deal in Hong Kong after his untimely death I felt like the majority of those films were in poor taste.
I strongly suggest the amazing book 1973-Rock at the Crossroads by Andrew Grant Jackson. It touched upon all the music from 72-73 and tied it together with everything happening socially and politically. Great read.

“Queen Elizabeth Eleven”????? Was that supposed to be a joke or something? I have a very disturbing suspicion that it wasn’t. But like even if this narrator doesn’t understand Roman numerals, how or why would he think there were 10 previous Queen Elizabeths? Actually you know what… never mind. This gave me a good chuckle! It actually made my day. So looking forward to Elizabeth twelve!!!!!
might have been a slip of the tongue
It's inexcusable
I roared laughing and immediately came looking for a comment about it lol
@@pomb4946 That’s exactly what I did!!! Except I didn’t find said comment, so I took the liberty of being ‘that guy’ on the RUclips comments! Sorry, but the image of eleven Elizabebi running around just made me chuckle!!
-Probably the same kind of error that made him read that there were 3000 countries.-
Love this series. Well put together.
Yet ANOTHER great upload! Thanks Again 👍👏🏻👍
My house was built in ‘72. Was curious to know what life was like for the family living in it their first year, what music filled the walls, and what shows were played on the TV
Hello, how are you doing today and the entire family and friends doing today
Isn't it great to be reliving 1973.
What would *_I_* want back from 1973?? 🤔 My youth
Thanks for this! 🦋 #WeirdHistory #Timeline #1973
Great video as always, Weird History!
You should do a video about the murder of String Bean.
I can't wait till they start doing the 50's, 40's, 30's, the 1810's, etc.

You left her alone to DIE!”
Karras: “SHUT UP!!”
(my favorite quote)
Anyone alive then knows this was the Year Of BRUCE LEE!!! Hands Down. The most widespread cultural Phenomena since The Beatles.
I remember making home made Nun Chucks, a cut up broom handle and dog chain!
Great video as always.
Graduated 🎓 high school in 73 ... loved the 70s. ..
In 1973 monty puthon went live for the first time
I ❤️ TIMELINE!
My favorite series
Greatest series on here. My fav was '88. Thanks for this. Cheers from Niagara 🇨🇦✌️
This series give me hope that we aren’t living in such crazy times. They have been crazy before and we have gotten through it.
Note that the Stooges were all about the music, while Kiss was all about selling their image. It continues to this day.
Bruce Lee: *Prematurely dies*
Hong Kong Film Companies: "OH, NO!!! Anyway..." *Proceed to make more Bruce Lee movies using stunt doubles and stock footage*
Not really. They completed Game of Death with a double where necessary. That was it.
You’re absolutely correct “Bruceploitation” became a big deal in Hong Kong after his untimely death I felt like the majority of those films were in poor taste.
That was the year 1973 that l gave Brith to my oldest Son. I was 19 that was the best Generation and the best Music 🎶 🎵 ❤️. Good Memories.

A+ video!
LOVE IT! What a year!
---TIMELINE ROCKS---
1973 is the years of Exorcisms!!
I strongly suggest the amazing book 1973-Rock at the Crossroads by Andrew Grant Jackson. It touched upon all the music from 72-73 and tied it together with everything happening socially and politically. Great read.

“OJ Simpson slashed his way down the field…”
We see what you did there.
Was looking for this comment 😂
I can still sing schoolhouse rock songs. I’m in my 50s. Lol
Love how you threw in the word slashed during OJ’s segment.
