Dark, haunting, and brilliant. He needs to make an album of songs like this. Voice, guitar, amp, and a microphone. That is all this man needs. Please J.D.- give us an album of old blues tunes reworked like this one.
@@FromtheSoultotheFretboard Were you lucky enough to see them as a native? I was working in a record store(in nowhere Mt)...remember when you were so young and they’re was so much cool to discover? What are you playing these days? Greetings and cheers!
Dropped that Jaguar down from E to somewhere around B. That isn't dropping steps anymore, that's dropping flights of stairs. Playing it in E wouldn't have been half as haunting. Very nice as usual from JD.
Many moons ago Ed King told me you were the complete package. He hit a home run on that call. I love your singing and playing and I give you 2 thumbs up! Cool tuning!!
I hope the shirt is Ironic. NPR just had a ex-CIA guy on talking about how to hunt Trump supporters in the coming years, using Tactics they used in the oil wars of Iraq. Song title is very suitable. God help this country.

Check is solo stuff it’s real good. I really like his stripped down live stuff.
We need to give so serious credit to the sound tech(s) on this channel. Incredible!
Simo, we need a whole album like this
Yes please!!!!
I could listen to JD all day long. Hell, some days I do...
Simply...amazing.
That’s the way to do it. Remember this great band out of Boston in the 80’s that lived in this vein.Treat Her Right.
Hit the nail on the head with that comment, good call!!

Hey everyone look It’s JD “Simo“ Lebowski. Jeff “ The Dude” Lebowski’s brother!!.
Sick 🤙🏻
Is that a jazzmaster with a HS config? That looks and sounds AWESOME
I think he once called it the “Fuckherasscaster”
Tone!
Damn what happened to him?
Right? He gets better every time I see him. Crazy.
jesus , i'm about to shit myself......what a tune from mr simo...
The four people who thumbs down should start a band The tasteless blunders
Nice! WooF!! Is the Jazzmaster in the rhythm circuit?
Is the vocal only the one mic? The vox tone is thick as a brick. What mic is that?
We use Ear Trumpet Lab microphones!
@@ponchostevens sounds badass!! Thank you!
I'm gonna need some details about that Jazzmaster.
Its a baritone someone built for him. I think he calls it 'the fuckocaster' or something. Its on one of JD's greasytime videos on his RUclips channel.
The fuckasscaster
It’s a stretch to call it a jazzmaster
It has our Honeybucker Plus humbucker in the bridge and our Royal singlecoil in the neck.
@@613brownie 🤣
I almost didn't tune in because I thought he was covering the Beatles Help , but WOW!
Shiiiiiiitttttt........wow
Who in the fuck did he sell his soul to and how do I get in touch with them?
God damn that is just vile !
So what amp??!
Its a '65 Princeton Reverb
and what speaker in that Princeton Reverb?....anything else in the chain?
@@herk1 original speaker. No pedals.
John Goodman
What the heck is he plunking on?...
A Jazzmaster w/ Strat pups? and/or a baritone of some kind (?)
...somebody HELP me!
N1
this sounds like a cry for help
Charcoal Frost
That guitar sound comes from hell, or around
Anyone know the tuning?
Low!
Sounds like a baritone, so I’m guessing close to B
I think he's put on a hundred pounds since last time I seen him. Wow.
Why would you say something like that? Think before you speak.
He is American standard.

I’ve been trying to make out what it says “know s... because npr is all I got
This is phenomenal and I'm usually not into what I call boomer blues
